Stuck in recovery! - Gen8, Gen9, Gen10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can someone help me, I'm stuck in the recovery menu on my Archos 80 g9 with no files on system or data for a firmware update. There's no option to boot back into Android. Any ideas what I should do?

Sorted it! Had to download the newest version of the firmware (took ages to find, just look at arctablet.com next time)
Then select firmware update, copy the aos file, and it's worked

How to: Block OTA updates?

Verizon is sending me a replacement RAZR with gingerbread to assist with my distaste with the ICS update.
Is there any way i can ensure this update and future updates are blocked from downloading/installation?
Rooting is an option and isn't a problem... just looking for a suggestion after rooting.
Thanks!

Yes, there's.
Go to the link inside the default.xml file in the attached pic and mess a lil the server link.
Make a backup prior braking it.

C6833 updated to 532 but notification won't dissappear.

I originally had trouble updating to 532 through the handset so had to update through the PC companion. After the update was complete & the phone restarted I still had the notification for the update (that still fails) & won't shove off.
Anybody know of a way to get rid of it?
This is what I mean BTW:

I had the same problem last night. Reboot then click refresh or recheck for update in the software section. It will go away.
