[Q] Fastboot - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Would you tell me,if i unlocked my Boot Loader via test point, can i get a FULLY working fastboot? I simply cant unlock a same phone with 2 diff method

If you have unlocked your boot loader, you must be able to enable fastboot mode...

There are 2 ways to get a working fastboot in a non branded device.
1. Through the SE site.
2. Through Test Point "hacking".
Both ways enable fastboot, only you keep DRM with the latter.

[METHOD?] Relock the bootloader (unlocked with test point method)

Hey guys.
Two days ago i have flashed back my SK17i to stock rom.
I updated from FOTA.
I didn't know i must relock bootloader before updating from FOTA, so i bricked my phone.
After 2 minutes of deep panic, i've flashed the relock .ftf file, but it won't work on phones unlocked with test point.
So, i found a way to relock bootloader and go back to stock. (On forums i didn't see any guide regarding the method to relock bootloaders unlocked by test point)
I've done in this way:
1) Flashed stock kernel
2) Flash the .ftf relock file
3) With S1Tool hit restore
The phone is now bootloader locked, without losing of DRM!

Did you tried to download the latest version of flashtool?
Also, try to re-download the ftf file from another mirror, you should able to relock bootloader.

brov dont really understand dis, please break it down a little bit!
I just registered to confirm this method works. I foolishly allowed a FOTA yesterday and bricked my phone. It was unlocked via testpoint so the relock method didn't work, even though I tried it! I also tried flashing with S1tool with generic firmware and that didn't work. Then just out of curiousity/desperation I clicked on the RESTORE button in S1 and my phone actually started but was now locked again. I re-did the testpoint unlock this morning so now my phones fully updates and working with my SIM of choice.
I don't know if you need to do all the flashing as it may just be the RESTORE that does the trick. I definitely won't be allowing any OTA from now on. Lesson learned!
Just to confirm, so long as I do the update via PCCompanion or SEUS software I wont need to do all this?
Files to download please?

If you unlocked your bootloader with test point, no need to flash anything, just press restore button in s1tool.
anyone tried this method to relock the bootloader which unlocked by test point method and still have the sim/network unlock

[Q] Flashing Kernel in WT19i

I want to Flash custom Kernels in my phone which is a wt19i . Can someone tell me how to do that
There are many post that teach you this.
First unlock your bootloader and you can flash the boot.img or ftf with either fasrboot or flashtool

Check out this thread:
SE Bootloader Unlocking v1.6 by quangnhut123
hope this helps!
It's your phone sim locked?
If it is then: do you have access to fastboot mode?? ( turn off your phone hold the volume up key and connect the phone to your computer without letting go of the key, the notification led should turn blue. That is fastboot.)
If yes then you will need to unlock your bootloader either the official way here http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com or the test point method here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1285285.
If you don't have access to fastboot then you will need to simunlock your phone first and as of what I know and at this moment you will need to pay for it.
Once you unlocked your bootloader you have to flash the kernel of your choice using flashtool here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351309

well i know of people able to go into fastboot with locked bootloader the problem is when you have a sim lock and the bootloader unlock allowed: no message in the service menu then you will have to pay to unlock the sim along with the fastboot.

[Q] HELP. Rogers Unlocked X10a Cannot use flashtool .9 or .6 to unlock bootloader

I have X10a model black smartphone. (along with my SGS3)
I had version 2.3 gingerbread with rogers branded.
I had unlocked by serial, its very slow and i need to unlock bootloader so that i can update its rom to jellybean one i saw in the XDA
I am not noob, flashed s3, ace, samsung mobiles to custom roms and i understand flashing/cwm/efs/root/ROM/bootloader etc...
I had updated its firmware 1 month ago, thru Sony's official tool.
the problem now is, it goes in flashmode and flashtool(.9 and .6) recognize, but when i flash anything, it just stops at reading device...
also flashtool's plugin doesnot come when its connected in debugging mode or flash mode.
s1tool screenshot is attached below.
PLEASE ANYONE HELP UNBLOCKING BOOTLOADER & INSTALL RECOVERY.
I WILL BE VERY THANKFUL
Edited The Devices > X10 and changed Busybox Path to system\bin and
Magically device plugin menus shown up and flashed recovery.
WORKED. Now I am going to unlock bootloader. Thanks Everyone for not replying.
You cannot expect that you would get a reply as you post. Here use this thread for such things as unlocking bootloader and rooting. Those tools are old so I suggest you don't use them.: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1821750

Using Latest .9.9 flashtool and rooted 2.3.3 x10a
flashtool stops at reading device.
Installed recovery cwm. but bootloader not unlocking.
can you help?
To unlock the bootloader you must turn your phone off and run the bootloader unlock. At that time hold down the back button and plug in the USB. It would reach a point where it says to unplug your device. Do so and when you see Sony Ericsson plug back in the USB and wait until it is finishes. And you could try by flashing a custom kernel.

One more thing
Yes one more thing the bootloader unlock option is found under plugins in flashtools.
Rogers X10a
Hay everyone, I'm new here and well I have a Rogers SE Xperia X10a and I have the SIM unlocked and rooted, I am using a Koodo Mobile SIM card and it works great got the APN all setup and working, now the only thing I want to do is remove the Rogers Animated Boot Screen and just have the Sony Ericson Animated Screen and I want to remove all Rogers Stock Apps like Rogers My Account, Rogers Shop and Rogers Ringbacks, I want all rogers apps and branding taken off so that its just a Unlocked Sony Ericson Xperia X10a, Do I have to unlock my bootloader and flash a new rom/firmware to it or can I leave that all intact and manually remove the files and icons, by like usb to computer or some app that will let me access them files, when I try to uninstall the rogers apps from the phone the uninstall button is greyed out and not clickable but I can remove updates to the rogers apps just can't uninstall the app altogether, any help suggestions ideas would be great. Thanks & Happy Modding

[Q] Doubt about bootloader

Hello!, I am new on this kind of stuff, but basically my question how do I know if the bootloader is unlock or locked? I type the code in the dialer and I take this screenshot? What does it means? Bootloader unlocked allowed: Yes
Thanks!
if it says bootloader unlocked allowed:yes..it means that u can unlock the bootloader...not that its already unlocked or anythin..and if u havnt messed with your phone..then u're bootloader is probly locked..

Try flashing a custom kernel. When you succeed your bootloader is unlocked otherwise it isnt.
I unlocked my bootloader via testpoint and service menu still says that it is unlockable although it still is.
When you unlock via Sony method you status will change to bootloader unlocked: yes

Wont it result in bootloops or something?
Hi,
Flashing a kernel of different ROM on a phone that is still BL locked will result in Bootloops i guess :silly: !!
Your thoughts?

Hit Thanks if my words lightened you hair
No. Trying to flash a custom kernel on a locked bootloader won't work. The flashtool you are using will give you an error message. Nothing will be flashed and the phone should still be fine.
If on gb then of course flash an gb kernel. Ics and jb the same.

Q: bootloader relock(769)

So I unlocked it for the 769..flashed cm sucessfully
...then went to stock with flashing a kdz. Seems boot loader is relocked on stock but I read somewhere its only temporary, can't remember where..so how do I unlock it again? Without the whole kdz 20b europe process again.. I know its locked cause I got security error when flashing recovery/ROM..got it back with fastboot
Also hidden menu says locked...
However sw upgrade mode still says boot loader status unlocked..

Hi matthewstice, I think that your bootloader is only apparently locked, you need JB roms (or at least load JB u-boot and x-loader with fastboot)... , I'm not sure, but I read something about it here, just don't remember the link.
Cheers. Good luck.
