[Q] Flashing Kernel in WT19i - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

I want to Flash custom Kernels in my phone which is a wt19i . Can someone tell me how to do that

There are many post that teach you this.
First unlock your bootloader and you can flash the boot.img or ftf with either fasrboot or flashtool

Check out this thread:
SE Bootloader Unlocking v1.6 by quangnhut123
hope this helps!

It's your phone sim locked?
If it is then: do you have access to fastboot mode?? ( turn off your phone hold the volume up key and connect the phone to your computer without letting go of the key, the notification led should turn blue. That is fastboot.)
If yes then you will need to unlock your bootloader either the official way here http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com or the test point method here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1285285.
If you don't have access to fastboot then you will need to simunlock your phone first and as of what I know and at this moment you will need to pay for it.
Once you unlocked your bootloader you have to flash the kernel of your choice using flashtool here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351309

You cannot enter fastboot if bootloader is locked.

well i know of people able to go into fastboot with locked bootloader the problem is when you have a sim lock and the bootloader unlock allowed: no message in the service menu then you will have to pay to unlock the sim along with the fastboot.

[Q] Fastboot

Would you tell me,if i unlocked my Boot Loader via test point, can i get a FULLY working fastboot? I simply cant unlock a same phone with 2 diff method
If you have unlocked your boot loader, you must be able to enable fastboot mode...
There are 2 ways to get a working fastboot in a non branded device.
1. Through the SE site.
2. Through Test Point "hacking".
Both ways enable fastboot, only you keep DRM with the latter.

Is flashtool and go to plugin tab.. If you can see unlock bootloader that means ur bootloader is locked... If its unlocked you do not see any option... Also you cannot flash a custom kernel with locked bootloader...

Flashtool link
http://androxyde.github.com/Flashtool/
Or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10738287
Download and install it where ever you want it then folk the steps below
1) go to the flashtool folder and there will be a sub folder called 'driver" install drivers from it.
2) plug your phone after enabling android/USB debugging (settings -> apps-> development-> android/usb debugging)
3) plug your phone to the laptop while flashtool running
4) flashtool will recognise the phone and give you some info..
5) you will see plugin tab in flashtool (similar to home, insert tabs in MSword)
6) if your phone is not unlocked then it will show a drop down menu and as far as I remember its the second option which does the unloking)
7) click on the option to unlock the phone
8) flash too will push some files and unlock our phone and phone will restart and you r done..

[Q] Doubt about bootloader

Hello!, I am new on this kind of stuff, but basically my question how do I know if the bootloader is unlock or locked? I type the code in the dialer and I take this screenshot? What does it means? Bootloader unlocked allowed: Yes
Thanks!
if it says bootloader unlocked allowed:yes..it means that u can unlock the bootloader...not that its already unlocked or anythin..and if u havnt messed with your phone..then u're bootloader is probly locked..

Try flashing a custom kernel. When you succeed your bootloader is unlocked otherwise it isnt.
I unlocked my bootloader via testpoint and service menu still says that it is unlockable although it still is.
When you unlock via Sony method you status will change to bootloader unlocked: yes

Wont it result in bootloops or something?
Hi,
Flashing a kernel of different ROM on a phone that is still BL locked will result in Bootloops i guess :silly: !!
Your thoughts?

Hit Thanks if my words lightened you hair
No. Trying to flash a custom kernel on a locked bootloader won't work. The flashtool you are using will give you an error message. Nothing will be flashed and the phone should still be fine.
If on gb then of course flash an gb kernel. Ics and jb the same.

You can't enter into fastboot mode when you are in locked bootloader..in fastboot mode the notification led will be blue color.. to enter into fastboot mode when you are on unlocked bootloader just switch off the phone.. then press the menu button while connecting usb cable with pc to the phone..

1.You must have flashtool installed !
2.Download this kernel http://www33.zippyshare.com/v/61382627/file.html
3.Once download done ! Copy that ftf to Flashtool/firmwares
4.Open flashtool and select the lightning icon and select flashmode and then select Xperia Relock BL and hit enter
5.Now turn off your device and hold back key and connect it to your PC

Recovery Problem!

I recently rooted my xperia live n I face one problem that everytime I install a ROM recovery gets deleted..is there any solution?
I asume You have locked bootloader. So recovery is installed somewhere in phone internal memory. So when You wipe Your data (system, data partitions) You also delete recovery. The only solution is to unlock bootloader and use custom kernel with built-in recovery.
Bolussimo is right..
I hav the same fone and had the same problm until i contacted a developer personally and got this matter solved..
Install xparts from market.. U can easily install recovery each time u flash a new custom rom..

Hmmm...... *#*#7873423#*#*
look at configuration....if...
1.Bootloader Unlock Allowed = Yes (your phone bootloader can be unlock)
2.Bootloader Unlock Allowed = No (your phone bootloader cannot be unlock)
3.Bootloader Unlock = Yes (your phone bootloader is already unlock)

If it's the unlock code for your simlock, it could happen that it'll change to yes, but I'm not sure. Try it and report please

Nope, unlocking SIM will not enable your fastboot, that means Bootloader Unlock Allowed stays No.

Hmmm...True....Sim Lock and Bootloader Lock is two different things...unlocking Sim will not make Bootloader Unlock Allowed = Yes....

But how does Wotan server work then? I mean if you unlock via Wotan server (with bl unlock allowed:no and simlock) some people said they were able to unlock the bootloader?

This is done different. WotanServer requires using the test point method, this also enables the fastboot. However, this works only on phones, that have been manufactured before 12W11. Newer phones have newer type of security, test point method no longer works on those.
Using the code is inserted by firmware, it does allow different SIM cards, however does not affect bootloader at all.
I can unlock and relock my bootlader via s1tool crippled with s2 cmds ,no problem , I recieve virgin unlock from Sony , on Sony headed paper , but no it didnt reset my status to yes , im wondering if fastboot will enable now I have no sim lock,or will I have to edit the sin tool cmd file for mango or get jinxs to enable all for me
