I recently flashed simply honey then revolution onto my phone and on both roms I have been unable to receive incoming calls. Everytime a call comes in my phone will vibrate and then my signal just drops. Is there anyway to fix this?

fixed in simply honey 3.9.1 i think
some people said flashing wifi calling undoes the fix
either reflash newer rom or odin back to stock and then reflash as that fixes many probs
no need to odin, just reflash and wipe should fix it, or does for most people
Alright I fixed this by doing the following
1. Odin to Stock
2. Flash I-9000 GB ROM
3. Flash Revolution RC1
4. Reboot
5. Flash Revolution RC1.2
6. Reboot
7. Flash GB Bootloader (To fix rainbow)
8. Reboot
After all that it worked.
I lied, that doesn't work. It worked for a bit then it started having the same issue.

EB (from simply honey) think its wifi calling or personal setup
try simply honey 3.9.1, im pretty sure its fixed in that, i think the only people that have complained about it are the people that have wifi calling
i've never had dropped calls, not even on SH 3.8 so i havent flashed 3.9.1
Running Simply Honey 3.9.1 and it has not given me that issue. Try flashing 3.9.1 and it should fix your issue. Hope this helps...
Reflashing doesn't fix this issue.

now odin show pass but system cannot started repeat restarting
What files did you use in Odin, only pda or all four? (cooper, csc, modem...)
it's one pack installation, GT-S5830_XEN_S5830XWKS2_S5830XENKS1_S5830XWKS2, Netherland Stock 2.3.5. Finally I install it, but now I have unexpected restarts, turn off etc. Can I fix this with odin with earlier version or something (anything) similar? History of updates: Stock 2.2.1. then 2.3.3 also stock, then cyanogen mod 7.1 rc1 (worked properly first time, but I uninstalled that, it was only for see benefits of CM ROM) and finally i flash again 2.3.5. and (yes, i'm fool) again CM7 RC1 and then started my problems, restarting etc. and when I try to flash 2.3.5. stock then happened problem with Odin.
You need to flash a full package file , not one package because one package will not convert your file system back to rfs , which will cause bootloops

I did this, stock 2.3.3... Can I now flash one package 2.3.5, without risk?

OK, thanks. I'm now on offical 2.3.3. for my service provider- Telenor. Sometimes phone still turn off, or restarting. Is there chance that the phone was defective when it was purchased, a month ago? when I bought it, just seven days after that I wore it to a service provider because the often rebooted and then it was on version 2.2.1. They returned it to me with version 2.3.3. and told me that it happens because I have some time to full battery. Although I empty the battery to 0% and then filled to 100%, problems were again resumed. Since I have over Odin and FUS downloader downloaded new version 2.3.3. whether the service can see that I changed the software in the meantime?
that sudden reboot is called sod, shortform for sleep of death. it occur when u connecting with known wifi ap, then u go out of range and the device try to reconnect. try to set ur wifi sleep policy to "never" and only turn the wifi on only when u need to use it. btw i managed to solve my sod problem using wififixer. search for it in market, its a free app.
if ur not even connected to wifi, then just ignore my post.
Sometimes this happens when WiFi is on, but can also happen when it is not turned on. Today, for example, when I sync contacts from social networks through HSDPA network, phone restarts, even he would not get involved until I took out the battery

You can try to fix permissions:
Boot into recovery and go to Advanced->Fix permissions. Then reboot the phone and see if it's fixed.
If not, try to re-install the rom with a full wipe (system, data, cache and dalvik).
Remember to backup before if needed...
i've tried to wipe data, cache, dalvik, and reinstall the rom. The black screen still there. I'm going to try to fix permissions and see if it can helps.

Clean Slate for those that balls up the firmware .Or need to return to service or decide if its hardware/firmware problem .
Backup data first if phone is working .
Boot CWM recovery
Mounts and Storage
Format cache data system sd card .
Remove battery
Boot to download mode
Open Odin
Install correct stock firmware .
Still problems use usb jig to set rom counter to zero .
Return to service centre .

i think the problem's not from the hardware, because my dialer is fine when i'm using GB ROM. I tried CM9 and have the same problem. I think the problem is with ICS ROM, but i don't understand why others don't have this problem but mine does. I think i'll stick to my GB ROM for a while until i find the solution for this problem.
I had this problem. U have two options search for either a new dialer from another ice based rom or reflash from after full wipe wipe again fix permission bare in mind its a leak and its themed.
I like this rom. First one with most fix and surprisingly stable.
I think in 7.4 its fixed anyway....

i'm so confused. I've tried to replace the phone app from another ics based rom, reflashing and full wipe many times, but the problem is still there. I tried to google it, and i found similiar problem caused by proximity issue. After i checked my sensors with *#0*#. the proximity sensor only shows null. I think there's a problem with my proximity sensor. Maybe i'll take it to service center.
Take it to a service centre but you have no warranty if you are rooted or using ICS beta test rom .

i need to reflash it with stock rom and reset the binary counter using usb jig right?
Yes, that's what you need to do.
Be aware that you can reset the binary count ONLY with the old bootloader.
So if the jig doesn't work, you need to flash the old bootloader.
That you can do by flashing a stock rom via Odin, or just flash the bootloader (I'll try to find the thread with the bootloader files).
Edit: you can get the bootloader from here:

i searched about this problem and found that there is some peoble with same isue but the diffrent is they all did root and cf witch i didnt no root no cf
so far i've tried full wipe format and tried to flash stock firmware with odin with no sucess (i flashed only the rom pda file there was no modem file in the rom rar )

[email protected]#1
build number
imm76d.19300xxalef
I had the same problem, but I did flash root and a custom kernel.
I am not sure which one caused it, but after I flashed CM9 it solved itself.
I also performed, factory wipe, cache wipe, dalvik wipe.
i was thinking CF i will try it tommrrow with CM9
did you try to get back to stock and see if problem still?
Had this today actually .
I went into wireless&Networks > More Settings > Mobile Networks > Network Providers. Let it do its thing and then selected at&t since I'm in the states and boom it worked. Hope this helps.

Like I said in the OP, After doing that it works no problem now. Give it a try. Its like it needs to register with the carrier.

I tried with CM9 and tried choosing the network operation explicitly but no luck.
I bought it only last week so O2 is happy to take it back.
I will get a replacement soon.
Thanks,
Dev

Yes This resolved my problem.
My problem happened when i installed Moddy ROM V11 which will update Modem also. Then i tried flashing different modem still no luck data all works fine. On *#0*# gave no indication of hardware faulty. Then i flashed stock ROM for singapore via odin still on change in status. Then i again tried other modems by rooting again. Finally searched on XDA and this simple trick helped Thanks a ton. :good::victory:
question..
why is it?...
that every time i use the return my phone to factory settings whether thru the "privacy" or thru CWM...
I GET BRICKED AT THE SAMSUNG VIBRANT SCREEN AND I HAVE TO KEEP USING ODIN TO BRING MY PHONE
BACK TO LIFE??
thank you all for ur time in this matter
Do you mean on a ROM like CM10? Or AOKP?
Sometimes this happens when you wipe because you wipe the necessary files that a ROM need. Sometimes a ROM(like stock) doesn't get affected by this. But most custom ones will
This is a universal problems with any phone.

Nah.. it was happening on stock. Apparently I can flash custom roms if I DON'T factory wipe first. I only need to wipe cache/dalvik and BAM! now I'm running cm7 wondering if I should try and flash an ics rom now or just stay on cm7 and count my blessings lolol...
Thanks for ur time
