Hi,
I was recently informed that the optimus one had update available.
I currently have 2.2.2, I installed the correct programs but its keeps saying i have the latest version.
How do i install 2.3 on my phone?
Any help would be appreciated.
u have the phone drivers on your SD card, or install latest LG PC SUITE, and update

I de-branded my phone to the generic CDF, SEUS said i had the latest update, when i clicked reinstall in downloaded the new update and now I have android 2.1

Yes, I've just checked and have the update message checking OTA manually - but it says i must use a computer to update my phone.
My 1.6
ro.product.name=U20i_1238-0199
ro.semc.version.cust=1238-0199
ro.semc.version.cust_revision=R3A
However PCC and SEUS both say I have the latest software installed and I've uninstalled and reinstalled both of these... hmmm

all you do is this, what I will say is first install busybox onto your phone for it to work.

as I said, generic is out. there wont be joy for you for at least another month or 2 if you dont debrand
i can connect my sgs2 vie kies and i can backup my contacts, add media files, and transfer files via windows explorer.
however i get the screenshot below when looking at the firmware section.
does this mean that my country doesnt have available firmware yet or that i need install drivers before it searches for updates?
TIA
Perhaps this is region specific.
I have seen once that problem reported elsewhere, but unfortunately without resolution: Kies not showing latest firmware.
Are you running latest version of Kies BTW?
yes I'm running latest kies version.this afternoon kies changed status to 's latest firmware installed'
hoping that's a prelude to getting 2.3.4

Hi all,
I have an LG C555 (Optimus Chat) that I need to flash with a "stock" firmware (or any other). How can I do that? How can I get to the bootloader with this Android 2.2 phone? Where can I find firmware files for this phone?
Thank you all for your time,
Regards,
highmighty
No one knows? Bootloader for this LG-C555?
Thanks
highmighty
lg
get the lg updater software and find the right firmware and you are all set
The LG Updater detects my phone properly and tells me that I'm running the latest (V10D) firmware for this phone. I'd like to reinstall this version V10D of the firmware or even a previous one but I'm unable because I can't choose ANY firmware, I can't "upgrade"
Is there a way I could "break" the internal firmware hoping that the LG Updater would then allow me to install the latest one (V10D) on it?
For your information, my LG-C555 is network unlocked & rooted and currently runs Android 2.2.
Since I need to change the internal firmware I tried Gingerbreak (1.0, 1.1 and 1.2) but none of them seems to work.
I was able of pushing gingerbreak.apk (version 0, 1 and 2) to the /data/app folder with the USB debugging mode ON and I also have inserted a formated/mounted SD card in the phone. Then I installed the .apk normally, the installation started but never ended, it stayed in an infinite loop (more than 1 hour)... I had to reboot for those 3 attemps
What can I do next?
Thank you for your time,
highmighty
Hi guys... hope that this post reads also someone from development. If it should be placed there, please move it.
So, here is my problem:
I`m having rooted Razr and OTA update comes to my region. I downloaded update and tried to update, but it failed. I didn't uninstall any of bloatware, just frozen it, but even after unfreezing it won't do update as well. I red some manuals and so on, so i removed bootstrap recovery also but still the same. Looks, that I need to re-install original FW to make it working - right?
I checked possibilities and there are not too many. RAZR utility 1.6 it is not possible download anywhere - links are mostly broken and 1.7 is for ICS only, so only options is using of RSDLite. I found following "tutorial" about RSDLite. I'm almost sure, that after update there wouldn't be possibility to update for a while, so I kept original downloaded OTA update ZIP, but do not know what to do with.
Could somebody say, if it is correct way how to update to ICS? Do I really needs to reflash original ROM and than try to update it to ICS via OTA? Is there some easy way to update if I have downloaded OTA update ZIP?
Some ideas?
Sorry for English...

Hello,
I currently have a AT&T factory unlocked G965U build R16NW.G965USQU3ARG7 on T-Mobile and I want to update to Pie. Yesterday I popped an activated AT&T SIM card to update the device to Pie and had no OTA luck. Can I download the latest version PPR1.180610.011.G965USQU3CSAB and install it via ODIN or do I need to do an incremental upgrade. I also tried updated to R16NW.G965USQS3ARG8 via SD card sideload and got an “error 7”, I do not care about the data on the phone. Should I only use ODIN or ADB? Also I can't seem to locate AT&T's version of Pie. If someone can guide me in the right path it would be great-full.

What I did for my ATT device, is changed the date to 22 Feb 2019 or a few weeks out, and then ran the OTA checker on the device and then it started downloading to update to pie. Either way, good luck and thread moved here...
