I have flashed taaviu's miui port on my neo, and i used the OC kernel. Once it booted up, it said the was no service. The Wifi, BT etc worked, but not the mobile network. I proceeded to use the non OC kernel. i also wiped data, cache and dalvik cache and i also reflashed the rom. I checked imei by dialing *#06# and it just just said IMEI. I checked in the settings, and it said imei "unknown" and baseband version "unknown". HELP please......
Use Wotanserwer and flash new rom, must be 4.0.1.A.0.283. global.
Write in my mobile
flash just baseband with flashtool.

is your phone in contract or simunlocked?
I have the same problem. i played with my phone. The phone wasn't locked to a specific operator( i yhink it was unlocked - is a SH Phone). The ideea is that i played with s1tool and everythinh was ok, i flashed the phone, i installed a new room (m&m, but with another kernel, nmot the one recomanded), after that the phone did not boot, i reflashed the phone with diffrent kernels(my mistake) and after that the s1tool told me "NOT RECOGNIZED SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE". I installed a rom for locked bootloader with doom kernel, but now my phone doesen't see my network anymore -please insert sin card and restart. AAA.. before that i used SEUD and installed the default room - my phone was capable to see the available networks but it keeps told me - please insert sim card and restart. Now i have the MUI rom with doom kernel (both for looked bootloader - the version with the xrecovery installer), and my phone doesn't see the networks anymore.
Could you help me pls!
Thanks.

Guys,
You have some mistakes:
First unlocking bootloader that somewhere harm your device.
Second flashing another kernel instead of recommended one.
Third you don't pay attention enough to installing rom's procedures.
It is important to use the specific kernels that rom maker tells us.
Good luck all..

I used SEUS and put the stock rom ... the phone still not recognize my card, but it can see the available networks. I have one question. If i use SEUS when i install the rom it install the specific kernel or the phone keep the one that i installed?
It installs the specific kernel of stock rom..
Sent from my X10 using xda premium
Ok. Somehow i fixed my problem. That's what i've done:
I used SEUS and i installed the stock rom. Then I installed flashtool (try to do a fresh install of flashtool if you allready have it installed) i installed the busybox and then i used the bootloader unlock from plugins menu. After i unlocked my bootloader the phoen saw my network immediatley. I supose that everyone else that have this problem have the bootloader locked or they tried to unlock the bootloader and didn's succeed.
I hope this will help someone. GoodLuck!
I have this phone from a friend that doesnt have baseband, restart it self and works like a turtle. I think that he tried to flash baseband from ST25a and bricked up.
I already flash it with an ST25i TFT with no success. Any idea?
If he simpy made a mistake in baseband, flashing a stock FTF with the correct baseband would fix the issue Try flashing a custom rom and see if there's any difference
Custom ROM includes baseband? I think that only include system or I'm wrong?
Only FTFs contain Baseband. But a mistaken baseband shouldnt cause lagging rom. Odds are something else is the issue. Try with a custom rom and see if lags still persist.. That might help you out
Cheers
I will try but lagging is my less important problem right now, I need to fix baseband first.
Thx.
Finnaly I solved my problem using Update Service software from Sony.
Why I did:
1.- I tried first with Update Service with no success
2.- I downloaded official ICS FTF for ST25i from this topic and flashed it using Flashtool with no success
3.- I tried again using Update Service and worked. Baseband restored
Thx for your help Min3r

I've already flashed an other baseband but still have the same problem
Well today i found out after getting tired of this trying to root 4.3 i decided to use a custom rom again.
Guess what happend...
No custom rom works anymore as imei magically dissapears. It only returns if you ... guess what...
Use Sony 4.3.
Well thank you very much Sony assholes for updating s1boot and making it irreversibel.
Luckily it seem that it might be able to get fixed with new proprietary blobs but that will maybe take some time for some dev's to add on their builds.

Are you trying to downgrade with Flashtool?, cause in Xperia Z1 is the same, the IMEI goes to 00000 but when you downgrade to 4.2.2 exclude the baseband and everything is ok and then you can flash your custom rom.......

Oh god thanks :good:
i had this experience: i have the 6802, and i was on the stock 4.3 update, flashed the adv. stock kernel to get recovery, and restored a CM10.2 nandroid. when it booted up i had no radio signal, so i restored everything from a .257 FTF except system and kernel, and after that everything was fine. i don't know if this was 'correct', but it worked. i didn't check to see if i lost IMEI, but i definitely have it after doing those steps.

you might mark the OP as SOLVED and list the solution
I simply did a nandroid restore with the CWM recovery from the CM 10.2 boot.img - all up and running, IMEI still there.

ah hey, cool. yeah, i would'a flashed everything but i wanted to stay on CM10.2. so i just made sure the other firmware was downgraded.
but again, it seems possible that there cold be other differences between the 6802 and the others? i dunno, but some people seem to be saying to use the baseband from .290 even if you downgrade back to .257?

In my case, I wanted to go back to stock. That's why I flashed everything About the baseband, I don't know cause I didn't note down the version before I flashed .290 so I have nothing to compare to. The one major difference of C6802 from other models is that we can flash ROMs without needing fastboot 'cause kernels are somehow allowed to be flashed from recovery.
please edit the original post title to reflect there's no problem
thanks
so im on 4.3 unrooted

That is a very old guide, and doesn't have to be done to restore imei at the moment. All that the OP should have to do is flash a current FTF with flashtool.
I cant figure out the pattern why only a very few ZUs cant run custom ROMs.
What model?
What software version were you on (xx.xx.xx.108?)?

Me too, idk what makes certain Z Ultra lost Imei & Baseband when it flashed with new Custom ROM
I suspect the modem files is the source of the problem and here's what i did See Here.
Open up the zip with winrar or 7zip and replace the files from the roms that work for your z ultra variant by drag and drop into the zip. Then flash it via recovery or you could manually push the files into your device.
It hasn't fail me since and CM 11 is working as it should.
