Motorola photon 4G Does it support Arabic language and
Does it work outside the United Statet
If not how can it
The photon can support Arabic if you root and flash the CM7 rom. Also it should work with international sim card but its locked in the U.S. So yes, it should work outside the U.S.

Yes it will still work. Here's a good place to start on how to unlock and root your device. There's plenty of videos. The first link will show you how to root. The second link will be to the CM7 thread with rom.

I'm using the US T-Mobile Froyo ROM now and it appears quite polished to me. Check the Development forum for more info. If you are on T-Mobile USA and want Froyo then you want this ROM. It even comes with a couple of new apps:
3G Mobile Hotspot
T-Mobile TV
DriveSmart
Still full blur but is noticeably faster.
Hi,
is there german inside?
If i install this, i can went back to 2.1 ??
Ist it realy Froyo???
Works with GSM germany??
Download did not work.
Is it the same sbf like the leak T-Mobile Rom?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=922430
I also use tmobile froyo and it's great. It doesn't have german but it haves englisch and Spain.
And flash is working very good

rootable? anyone have a progress report before i do this?
Yes, it's rootable. Users report that it's stable and fast.
Downgrading is an issue though. At this time, there's no way to downgrade...

Hi, im about to buy an Atrix from amazon to use in my country (Venezuela), but iv been reading a few posts in the developers forums and i have a few questions before upgrading to gingerbread:
1.- Should i update from the Oficial Motorola Page 4.5.91 or should i flash a custom rom?
2.- Should i unlock my bootloader if i install the oficial rom?
3.- is there any rom better than the oficial rom out there?
4.- About the brick post i saw in the developers forums will i be exposed to the same chance if i update the original Motorola Rom?

1. I recommend using a custom ROM, only because its faster and you get better performance.
2. Yes. If you are will to do it, I have an easy way how.
3. Most if not all ROMS are better than than stock.
4. Only if you downgrade software from 2.3 to 2.2 you will brick your phone. Correct me if I am wrong though on this one other xda members. I am willing to help, just let me know.

Thank you very much Voelker, and which rom would u recommend me? the fastest and stable rom?. Also how about the update, should i first unlock the bootloader then update to the oficial version of ginger? or should i unlock the bootloader then update to a custom rom without touching the oficial version ever?
cm7 is the best unless you want webtop or fingerprint scanner

Don't know, but the latest build has "improved recording quality"

judging by your signature i assume u have CM7, i read a post in the official CM7 rom thread that there was something wrong with the dialer? like the graphics were kind of weird or zoomed, can u confirm this?
Also, do u have the latest build? can u tell me if there's a 1080p option there?
Also have any of you tried this kernel? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1257574&page=299
No one? well can anyone tell me which one is the best kernel for the Atrix?
I use Faux123's 1ghz cm7 kernal
sent from my Atrix via XDA premium
Does that one allows you to overclock?

No you need the faux kernel that is over 1 ghz like the 1.45 kernel. You can definetly over clock that.

amazon..co.uk buy
Hello everyone i'm new to this forum and i would like to know what i should do with my atrix.
I bought it off of amazon.co.uk (i live in england) and i would like to know how to root it. (i run Gingerbread, by the way)I know you must be thinking oh what an idiot follow the tutorials, but i keep seeing AT&T everywhere so im wondering what's up with that, and why are some of the roms only compatible with AT&T. Oh, and i searched allready too.
Have you tried this? ... http://www.psouza4.com/Bionic/
At the top, it says "This method works on Motorola phones running Android OS 2.3.4 or earlier." There is no mention of AT&T.
Hope this helps
thanks! yeah i looked at that, but i still dont get the whole AT&T thing for ROM. As im in england i cant get AT&T but thanks anyway for that root method!
The AT&T thing is because there is an Atrix International and an Atrix 4G from AT&T. Its mostly same specs, barely 3g bands.

Hi I was thinking of buyinga atrix I just have a few questions if u can help me.
1.how well is the fingerprint recognition?
2.is there a official ginber bread or a custom working one with all features of the phone working.
3.is the internel memory different from provider to provider (I know the bloatware by providers use up a bit of the memory).
4.also is any features missing by any providers (I can remember tmobile sometimes would remove front facing cameras on certain devices).
5.I heard there is screen issues how true is this? Also are there any other issues.
Sorry for so many questions .
Thanks using htc sensation at the moment.
Sorry If this is placed this wrong, I'm using a ****ty Ipod touch to write this since I no longer Have a way to connect to the interwebs other then the ipod lol.
My Question is has anyone found a way to make the Motorola Photon work with T-Mobile Sim? I tried looking, but all I found is something about unlocking the bootloaderr and thats it. any links that will help would be appreciated.
For now we are locked and have no GSM for domestic(within US) carriers.. So unless you mean international TMobile, then no.
There is a way to do that. Flash the Clockworkmod Recovery and try CM9 beta they have out there. It has Domestic GSM built in (and I believe it has been tested and confirmed). Try it and see what happens!

What ROM are you using? peetr's is the best IMO. I have also had good luck with CM9 and CM10. If you're on your stock set up that may be the problem, I wasn't able to get data to work using my stock setup.

Hi !! My phone ROM is moto version please see the pic thanks !! .how to do root my ISW11M ??
http://www.groovypost.com/howto/motorola-photon-4-g-how-to-root-your-phone/
Here's steps to root your phone, but in order to flash custom ROMS you will need to "unlock" your bootloader after you root BUT WARNING- you have 4.5.1 which currently CANNOT be UNLOCKED here's another link you can follow for information on this (and most likely eventually they will have a fix to get your phone unlocked)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1759997
If your new to rooting unlocking and flashing an android phone be careful double check everything you read before you do it! These things can't always undone if done incorrectly!
Feel free to post any more questions I'll try to reply quickly.

You have a lot of tutorials about upgrading to official (moto stuff) roms or about installing custom roms, when i bought my razr it came with gingerbread, one of the first things i do was upgrading to ICS and then i start using custom roms with safestrap, but that dependens on what you want/need from the phone. Also you have to check if your phone is CDMA or GSM, before installing a rom or at least ask if that have a patch.
here you have a post with a los of links and a tons of info. Hope that helps

Just go for the European version ROM.
I used them in my wife's RAZR. We are also from Israel.
Follow the steps for the new European retail roms and every will be great.

I will try that but now I have another problem... I accidentally flashed ICS without having enough space on my phone and now it is stuck on boot logo and then turns off, and I need to know if there is a way of formatting it without turning it on?
Sorry for bad English too...
The European retail jellybean formats your whole phone, so you can flash it and have your phone back on normal.
