Has anyone installed MF12 on Touchpad? It does not download. Any suggestions? I looked in forums and did'nt see anything on this topic. TY.
I have it installed and it works great. (a little stretched on the controls, but nothing of any importance)
Might have to change your build.prop to see it in market though.
I'm on the xron current rom with build.prop for samsung i9100 and it shows up for me.
In the build.prop change the following lines from:
ro.product.model=Touchpad
ro.product.brand=HP
to
ro.product.model=GT-i9100
ro.product.brand=samsung

Hi,
I'm having a few minor problems with the Android Market since rooting. For example, a game I paid for called "My Paper Plane 2" is nolonger available to download even though the trial/demo is available.
I've tried a lot of the fixes on this forum and with no success so far and while looking through the contents of default.prop and build.prop I found something that I wondered if an entry in the default.prop file might be contributing to this problem.
This is the line I am wondering about in default.prop
ro.product.locale.region=US
I did a bit of googling on the phrase "ro.product.locale.region=" and noticed that this line varies....
ro.product.locale.region=IT
ro.product.locale.region=FR
ro.product.locale.region=GB
...as a few examples.
As I'm based in the UK, could this be why the market isn't showing all the apps I would expect. Should I edit the file (I've pulled a copy off the phone but thought I'd ask the question here before pushing it back just to err on the safe side) to GB and reboot? Or has anyone else got any suggestions on what might be causing this?
As a few more examples, I can't also find the demo of Touchdown but I can see the full paid app.
And another game called Armageddon Squadron doesn't appear either.
And a program suggested to search for on this website...
careace.net/2010/06/16/how-to-fix-protected-android-market-app/
"Dr Droid"
...well, I can see the demo but not the full paid version.
You need to modify build.prop/default.prop for valid
ro.build.fingerprint=xxxxxxxxxx
for the UK market. Your OS version might be not authorised for the UK market yet.
For the Japan market I've had to use the fingerprint from the older OS.
Hi and thanks for the reply wildthing_san,
I've pulled a copy of the build and default files from an original X10i that I issues to one of my directors which looks like this...
ro.build.fingerprint=SEMC/X10_1235-7379/SonyEricssonX10i/es209ra:1.6/R2BA020/1274691689:user/rel-keys
And from looking at this forum page...
http :// forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=711907&page=239
...the bit that looks important seems to be the bit I bolded.
However, on checking through the default file, there are a couple of other references to this like...
ro.semc.version.cust=1235-7379
ro.product.name=X10_1235-7379
I also can't find any reference to that number in the build file.
So my question is, (in a kind of is it safe way) should I just update the default file finger print in my phone to include that 1235-7379 reference, i.e. change it from....
ro.build.fingerprint=SEMC/X10_1232-9897/SonyEricssonX10i/es209ra:1.6/R2BA024/1276581782:user/rel-keys
to...
ro.build.fingerprint=SEMC/X10_1235-7379/SonyEricssonX10i/es209ra:1.6/R2BA024/1276581782:user/rel-keys
...and ignore those other references or change those as well?
EDIT: Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you my friend.
Your suggestions were spot on, I did basically what I was wondering above including the extra two changes to the version and name and everything works spot on!!!!
Thanks again mate! Really appreciate the help/advice.
Might have spoken too soon. Some apps have come back. But not all. Still missing one polarbit game and strangely a couple of unimportant free apps. Trying the clears cache trick and will wait 24hrs to see if things continue to improve. My Paper plane 2 is back atleast
Sorry for hijacking your thread sligthly, I would appreciate it if somebody could upload a Nordic, or preferrably Swedish default.prop.
Im curious to see what the following lines looks like
ro.semc.country=
ro.semc.locale.language=
ro.semc.locale.region=
Anyone ?
Please ??
Says it should work for non Honeycomb devices with usb support...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202082
I was just going to post this to see if anyone tried it. it looks really awesome, if it works!
Just threw it into the market and says its incompatible and won't let me download, any idea of some settings that I can put the nook to to get it to download (currently set to HTC Vision for Netflix purposes)?
I'm wondering the same thing, really want to try it but can't figure out a way to get the apk.
Try using the Galaxy S II model info
ro.product.model=GT-I9100
ro.product.brand=samsung
ro.product.name=GT-I9100
ro.product.device=GT-I9100
Google is pissing me off with all of these filters..

Sorry - noob here I guess... How do you do that exactly?
nevermind, figured it out. Here's how if anyone else is curious:
Go into Root Explorer and allow root privileges
- Go into the system folder
- At the top, press mount R/W
- Then hold down on "build.prop" and open with text editor. Then make edits suggested above.
Does this actually work? I tried it on my atrix and the app itself said that host mode was not supported, although it is.
No it doesn't work. You get the same message saying USB Host mode not supported...even though it is with CM7
DSLR Controller by Chainfire Working on Nook Color
As of Chainfire's latest release, the DSLR Controller is working on my Nook Color. Running CyanogenMod 7 and Nook Color Tools. Using the Color Tools you can make the Nook Color work in USB Host Mode control. I had this hooked up to my Canon T2i / 550D and it worked fine. The only tweak I had to make was in the /system/build.prop to dalvik.vm.heapsize from 32m to 128m (as mentioned in the DSLR Controller Faq). Can take pictures and all the things that are available thru the DSLR app worked fine. Thank you Chainfire for the great program!!!!!!
Nice! Thanks for that info. I really have to test it for my 5D MKII / NOOK Color-combination now.
I'll post here soon.
Yes, definitly works great with 5D Mark II. Great.

Hi,
a have a big problem. I tried to play some games, which are not officialy supported by TF201. My tablet is rooted. I replaced original build.prop with Motorola Xoom build.prop. After reboot, it can't boot. It shows only Asus logo and rotating circle below. Any sugesstion pls? Please don't write me "You are stupid", because I know it
Does ADB see your device?
Did you back up your original build.prop?
If so, you may be able to push the original build.prop back to it's location.
P.S. You are rather foolish.
Problem solved...that was long way
Yes, I tried it via ADB, but I couldn't wrote to system directory. I looked at root script and I used same way as script pushed files to system directory. Everything is OK now. It spent 6 hours of my life.
PS: Sorry for my english, it's not my native language.

I don't get why people risk bricking they prime over a dang game..lol. if anything just find an apk for that game from another tablet that has same screen size resolution. For example Modern Combat3. Normally it isn't supported on prime n won't let you play. All I did was find an acer500 version, since same screen size resolution, and install it on my prime. It worked perfectly without me having to edit anything. Anyways I think xoom has same screen size resolution also. You could've just found a xoom version apk of the game n installed without having to edit n risk anything.
PEOPLE, STOP TRYING TO EDIT BUILD.PROP JUST TO PLAY A GAME. Not worth it at all. Far more safer methods to try. Hopefully OP learned his lesson. I love games also but not enough to risk Brickn my prime over.
Im having the same problem :-(
could you please give me an instruction of how you solved the Problem (pushing the orginal build.prop back to the tablet)?
my computer shows me the ASUS Transformer Prime APX Interface but i can not see any folders and i dont now how to get the orginal build.prop to the tablet
Hey all, not sure if anyone else likes the Polaris Office as much as I do, but I was using a friends' S4 today and realized they had Polaris Office working on 4.2.2 .... so needless to say I hit google and found it rather quickly. I have downloaded the application and installed it and just have a little "watermark" sort of thing (screenshot included) where it is of course looking at the device name and not recognizing that it's the correct device, thus showing the message. While the application is fully functional even with this "watermark", so to speak, all I can assume is the only way to make it go away would be do change some build.prop information to spoof that your phone is a GS4/3/whatever. Any insight?

Quote from other thread:
Just change the following from your build.prop if you're not using a Samsung device.
ro.product.model=GT-I9300(or GT-I9500)
ro.product.brand=Samsung
ro.product.device=GT-I9300
ro.product.manufacturer=Samsung
It would perfectly working after u done this! promise!

Originally I placed a Q&A in the G3 section, but I gotno replies, so hoping someone here will see it and help me,
So people, I have a d855 which i've just updated to MM nice............. Only issue is that I cant seem to get the old buil.prop edits to make it display Korean Dialer and Weather, Accuweather is useless in Korea and Kweather servers much more information.
On LL you could change this
ro.product.locale.language=en
ro.product.locale.region=GB
TO this
ro.product.locale.language=ko
ro.product.locale.region=KR
Which would work. However nothing seem's to work on MM really annoying, Ive been over my wifes korean g4 which is on MM also, and tried to match the most I can in the build.prop without messing it up.
Things to note.
Build.prop notes
ro.product.model=F400k - But settings/about still reads D855 (CPU-Z reads it as F400K)
ro.product.locale=ko_KR - but all apps I''ve been into with SQlite still read as en_GB in the android_metadata
Tried adding these two lines in #ADDITIONAL_BUILD_PROPERTIES
ro.build.target_operator=KT
ro.build.target_country=KR
Bluetoothing the weather app from myphone to the wifes, she still gets Kweather, I get accuweather.
Bluetoothing the weather app from the wifes phone to mine = F/C's
Nothing I seem to do is making the dialer/weather display the Korean regional specific stuff, really would appreciate some help on this matter please.
Thanks you.
Sorry mate MM is still being explored *_*
You need to wait sometime ...
