hey guys
i installed eclipse 2.0.2 (followed all tutorials and everything) started up and worked fine than i noticed the wifi kept dropping so i sbfd back to 2.3.4 and followed another tutorial still the same problem any body know what the problem is
thanks,
I had this issue and turning off QoS (Quality of Service) in my router seemed to fix the issue.
But then, after that, my router died and I purchased a new one and QoS worked just fine with Eclipse 2.0.2.
Go figure.
In any case, try disabling QoS and see if that fixes your issue with 2.0.2. Personally, I feel this is an issue with 2.3.5 itself, not Eclipse 2.0.2.
thanks ill try that also do you know if there is a patched version of 2.3.5

There are about 4 different versions, but Eclipse 2.0.2 is supposed to be using build .412 of 2.3.5. Anything else, you run it at your own risk.
Apparently, Nitro used build .412 as the base and then took some things from the .413 build and incorporated them into Eclipse 2.0.2, but he stated everyone should use the .412 build to flash Eclipse 2.0.2 over.
The WiFi issue seems to be sporadic over users. As I stated, once I purchased a new router, my issues with QoS enabled went away.
Thanks ill try it out and see what happens

Hey guys.
Ever since I've upgraded my atrix to the gingerbread update, the Psx4droid v2 app that I've been using religiously with Legend of Dragoon hasn't worked since.
I know I'm not the only one with this problem since my buddy with his atrix reports the same results. My question is whether or not someone has found a solution.
I'm not counting on a successful result, but a heads up on any development would be awesome.
Try toggling "compatibility mode" using Spare Parts from the market. Your phone will need a reboot to apply the changes. This also fixes apps that size wrong after the gingerbread switchover. Good luck,
-omni

Sorry for not mentioning it earlier, night shift tends to make me leave out details.
Before I had the gingerbread update, the v2 of the emulator worked fine but had the resolution problem, I already knew about spare parts then to clean up the problem.
However since upgrading to gingerbread, it just crashes when trying to boot a rom. Spare parts had no effect.
Sorry for not clearing that up earlier :/

If anyone is having issues with the Verizon Update 6.11.748.XT912 - please report bugs / issues here.
I have been running this update for about 24 hours and my phone is running GREAT!
Stock RAZR with a few frozen app's (not many)
I have no FC
LP pro installed
Quad scope is away 2500 to 2600
No signal issues
Using FCC test: (@ my home Atlanta GA)
download speed: 28 Mbps wow
Upload speed: 9 Mbps
UPDATE:
After almost three days of running this upgrade I have NO ISSUES
Verizon was having 4G problems that was causing me network problems and battery issues - RESOLVED
Rooted my phone using p3droid Root Keeper.
Are you having issues rooting this update? POST YOUR PROBLEMS / ISSUES HERE
Again, this phone and update is solid with nothing to fix. With this phone Android and Moto have arrived.
When out of the box you have a phone that works.
My next task is the get Tether working
A Guy over on the "other forum" is having major data dropping issues. I'm curious about the update and wondering why I haven't rec'd it. I'm totally stock. Went into about phone and system updates but it says I'm up to date. But I'm on .744?? Guess they're pushing them slowly as usual...

To get tethering to work with your RAZR. First download the wireless tethering app 3.1 beta 7. Install of course. Phone must be rooted. Also download rom
manager and open rom Manager and and go to. Fix permissions let that run. And the restart phone. Now tether your heart out.

I updated a moment ago from stock to stock.
So far it seems to be smoother. I meant really reminding me of the word "silky"
but I can't get Vibrant Feedback of stock multitouch keyboard to work even I ticked it at settings.
Sound feedback of the multi touch keyboard is fine.
Anyone else having issue like this?
The physical key haptic feedback when I press anything is still there. So I assume it is the software issue only.

Went and got a new SIM today and it fixed it a bit, but my signal was much better before. I'm at my work desk, and with the old update, I always had 4g. Now I'm 3g. I get 4g when I leave.

Just updated from the file on droidforums & the voodoo ota root keeper from the market works perfectly to reroot after the update. The only issue apparently is when safe strap is used because of the modifications to the preinstall partition. I hadn't moved from bootstrap yet so everything worked.

no update in my part of GA yet either.
after about 40 hours
my battery life is down with this update
my 4G is now dropping

I'm 100% stock and after the update its running very smooth!! The stock launcher seems to have gotten faster?? Camera and over all performance is better. I don't know about data yet because VERIZON'S DATA IS DOWN AGAIN! but other then that its very good for me. Been running this for about 10 hours.

There have been a lot of 3G and 4G outages in the past several days. Make sure you're not a victim of that. There are DEFINITE issues this morning. I don't have the update installed, totally stock phone - and yesterday and today I have no 4G at work. I'm on a 4th floor by a window. I normally have a great 4G connection here.
Everyone Else: There's no trick you can do at this point to get the update. It's not released officially, it's only been sent out to a few beta testers. You are either going to get it by checking for the update, or not. Eventually they'll release it to everyone soon.
I'm in the same boat as mistawolfe, the update has made things much worse for me on the data side. On my way to work today, I had NO data for more than half the time, and only 3G the other half of the time. While at home, I have always had strong 4G and that has not changed after the update. But at work yesterday after I applied the update, it was the same thing, only 3G or NO data. Same today, more than half the time I have no data, and the other half only 3G. Going back and forth between no data and data is unacceptable. 3G/4G switching is fine, but this is horrible. 1/2 the time I can't even use the data. Terrible. I would not recommend this update.

Please see my post above you. There are known issues with Verizons data network this morning. There have been several issues in the past few weeks. Don't be so fast to blame your update. http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/21/psa-verizon-users-reporting-data-outages-across-the-us/

Missed that, thanks. Talk about a strange coincidence, but at least it gives me hope (Although I'm still a bit weary as it started yesterday morning for me right after the update). Anyway, will hang tight and see if things get better. Hard to believe we are having another 4G/data outage again not even 2 weeks later! Big time growing pains for Verizon
After updating to 4.5.141 my Wifi is constantly dropping out. I can be in the same room as the router with full signal and it will still drop out frequently.
It immediately reconnects.
This of course makes my phone go through its battery in about 4-5hrs.
Any ideas what is causing this?
Perhaps wifi is going to sleep when your screen is off. Try changing the sleep policy to never.

My wifi was also affected by the 2.3.6 update. The wifi issue was so bad I just rooted and installed CM7. All is ok now.

I didn't have wifi problems on it but did have a serious lag problem with that build.

I have just recently received the OTA and have the same problem.
AT&T atrix running 4.5.141.en.US, radio is N_01.77.37P.
I have found a workaround: Disable DHCP and enable manual config, type in IP/netmask/gateway/DNS. Then I have faster initial connecting time and stable WIFI. This will only work if you are using WIFI at home/office and know the network details. The stock WIFI settings is too basic to support multiple profiles.
Should i update my Atrix 4g
I have been pressing install latter option for the new update (4.5.141.enUS) on hourly basics ( lol i know sounds hella funny but i have been doing that) So my question is should i succumb to the pressure or let it go and update or i should keep on hitting the latter button ???
I really havent had any problems with my Atrix ( its is in immaculate condition ...knocks on wood) its running everything stock out of the box. I have been getting decent battery performance too. the only issue i ever have is that it reboots when i connect to my lap dock but happens rarely.
Please... expert advise will be appreciated.
thanks

i had more problems with 4.5.141 than on 4.5.91, the latter seeming to be more stable for me. i'm on AOKPCB now and would definitely recommend that over any blur based rom, but if you don't want to keep pressing later you can freeze the OTA app in TiBu or use a root explorer to rename it to .bak, etc.
there is an issue in 4.5.141 update and you can Solve it from the router , just change Lease Time in your router to 2 day or less and the problem will be solved !! it is crazy solution But believe me, is the right solution
See this thread:
https://forums.motorola.com/posts/b6259348a9?start=1&stop=15
I have the same problem with the Atrix on 4.5.141. Some people said that is hardware problem, but i don't think so. I have tried to connect with wifi, and the phone sees no wifi. I changed my sim card with the same carrier, and it worked for about 2 mins! I don't get it.
I'm sure my router is fine, don't need to set dhcp.
I'm trying to install CM7 to solve the problem, (unlocked the bootloader first) but it is stucked at a screen 'Unlocked'.
Someone said the wifi will works with CM7.
Anyone, idea?
wifi works perfect on cm7, cm9 and miui but not stock 2.3.6 any version rom i install it drops all the time.
some say to add its mac address in the router but I am not only using this at my house its everywhere.
So any idea of a fix? Maybe a certain kernal can help
Wow I don't know what the issue is! Tried multiple stock roms with no luck. Keeping mine on cm7 rc3. It has to be something in the stock roms making the wifi cut out like that

Set your wifi sleep behavior to never
Sent from my MB860 on CM7.2.0 Stable
Hi! So I have this friend who relies on me for every tini-tiny technical thing, and she's having issues with her atrix 4g, I've personally never dealt with with phone except whenever a new OTA came out which I always helped her install (as if it was hard, but for her it is) I own an SGS2 and I love AOKP and AOSP ROMs but I know she cannot deal with a change that big from MotoBlur which she's used to.
Is there anyway to solve the wi-fi issue caused by the last update 4.91 or something like this, im trying to get .141 but I cant because of the wifi issue.
Id like to keep it as stock as possible, maybe a modded stock rom? Ive searched the thread (maybe not as well as Ive wanted because I dont know anything about atrix)
I have wifi to never sleep, and all the other suggestions but still nothing
FXR WiFi Helped
"FXR WiFi" from PlayStore helped with my wifi issue (constant connect/disconnect) occured after update ROM to cm7.2.
"WiFi fixer" did not help
I did not try "Fix My WiFi"
I just flashed Eclipse the other day after updating 418 soak and my wifi is constantly resetting every 5-7 minutes.
Is any one else still experiencing wifi drops on Eclipse 2.2?
Sent from my DROID X2 using xda premium
I had to stop using Eclipse because of no or unreliable wifi since switching to 2.3.5. Both 412 and 413, even in stock, would fail on wifi. 418 seemed better but still dropped. Back on 2.3.4 w/ CM7, and although wifi still has issues it's no where near the problems I had on 2.3.5. I just can't wait to be able to upgrade off this piece of crap that some call a smartphone.

Confusedphone I love how it drops when you leave your network, then takes three times minimum to obtain IP/connect...and usually requires reboot to reconnect. It's almost like it's drunk...takes a while but sometimes it connects other times it doesn't.
Looking for Wifi-aholic meeting.....ugh

I am sorry I did not test the wifi on the actual connectivity. I just saw it did not have an error. D: Have you checked on his forums? www.eclipserom.com?
Welp, title says it all.
The infamous, unresolved issue of Wi-Fi saying "error" under it in the settings.
Issue occurred first on unrooted stock(when I was give the phone), so I rooted it in hope I could somehow fix it via kernel flash, rom flash, or by other means.
I've practically flashed every kernel, every rom, tried several apps, and still running into this issue.
I would rely souly on Wi-Fi for internet access, seeing how I do not want Big Red up my arse with a contract(sticking to my Optimus V on Virgin Mobile running JellyBean).
The phone has no SIMcard, a 2GB sd-card, and is running the newly leaked BAMF ICS rom(installed in hopes of at least using bluetooth tether with my Optimus V for internet, but BT is broken on the leak).
I've searched every android forums on the web, read several dead end threads, saw even more that were unanswered.
Its as if this issue is purposely avoided being resolved.
I at least want someone to attempt to help, or give me the definitive answer of "you're poop out of luck, and there is no solution."
sent from my Zom-"Bean'(CM10 JellyBean).
It's usually fixed by a kernel flash so im assuming its a hardware error
