I used the slim case from rooCase for my Samsung. I liked it a lot. I'm sort of waiting for it to be available for the Prime too. I tried using the one I have on the Prime, but the case is slightly too small...

Amazon has listings for slim cases from VERTEKS and VIPERTEK that look similar to that case for the prime.
misread the post....thought we were looking at the leather case...the slim cases don't look too bad at all!

Just cant believe these guys dont have anything in stock when a new device comes out.
This looks almost exactly like the Verteks case except that this has a cutout for the speaker. Hmmm... Didn't think about the cut out for the speaker. This might make me switch my order for the rooCase.
How exactly do those hinge / snap looking things (from the VERTEKS / VIPERTEK models) work for holding the tablet? Their hold on the device looks rather precarious

Didn't see the Moko one before, I would have bought that one instead probably based on price, it doesn't look like it has the speaker cut out. I ordered the rooCase on the 3rd, estimated to be sent out on 10th, however, today is the 11th, Amazon status still says Shipping Soon, so no idea how long it'll take.
ideally, i want something really thin, doesn't cover the Transformer look, and stands landscape and portrait mode in multi angles. i don't need protection, i need a case+stand.
the detachable inner sleeve means there are two layers on the case, sleeve, and the actual case. you can use the sleeve without case, which is kind of convinient.
I emailed as well (through amazon's "contact the seller" method), no reply yet. Mine also still says "shipping soon." I paid a lot for 2-day shipping, too, because I'd really like to take my prime to a conference I'm going to this weekend. Frustrating.

So do you recommend I order the Moko cheaper one? The Roocase though says available the Moko says 1/18. But if the speaker isn't cut out then I don't want it. I emailed the company to ask them I don't now what to do but i have to leave for work and my tablet just got here YAY!

Mine is still showing shipping soon, I sent two e-mail, no reply.

i love this case so much that i was hoping for a Transformer case to come out, so i emailed customer support at CaseCrown and this is the reply i got:

i asked for alternatives and if they propose anything different than what's on the "compatible cases" thread i'll post them there. just wanted to let you all know.
They should definitely look into it, considering it's generating more hype than the Xoom.

the casecrown cases really are fantastic so it may be worth the wait unless someone else comes out with one thats just as good. i know that the "FolioGuard" case shown in this forum is the one to beat right now, but the biggest caveat there is that it doesnt have the low profile stand ability. so basically i cant put it on my desk and have the low slant angle for typing
Yeah, I can see that being a problem for some.. The FolioGuard guys read these forums with interest though, so I'll wager that the feedback has been received and taken on board
Personally, because I use Thumb Keyboard extensively when using the tablet on its own (in "split mode") - that with a low profile typing position would actually feel "sub-optimal" for me as its best used when gripping the tablet and tapping away with your thumbs
..and then there's always the dock for the real typing shenannigans...
(If only Asus could've licensed the Transformer's transforming noise whenever you docked it... geek-tastic.. *sigh*)

But someone has already emailed casecrown saying the TF101 case will be out in a few weeks within June to order. Hopefully within under the $20 mark.
This case looks great and it doesn't appear to be too thick like a lot of other cases too.
Hopefully it lives up to expectations as I'm getting tired of keeping my transformer inside due to not having a case.
I just bought a casecrown sleeve that I like quite a bit (other than the turqouise meshy crap on the inside that is a tad too rough to make me feel like it won't scratch my screen!)
Either way if they made a case like that which turned into a stand, I'd definitely purchase it Here's to hopin'!

Damn, I'm tempted to get this. I've been wanting a good case and I already have a carrying case by case crown. But Roocase's case seems like a better option because its multi angle.
Ill probably pull the trigger on this sometime this week. I just want the thinnest stand case possible. The multi angle is less important to me than being thin and light. Most of the others are bulky and if I wanted something an inch thick that protects the screen I could just just carry the keyboard dock.

The flap on the back and the way it tucks, along with the viewing angle and case material seem quite comparable...
I'm happy with the Jazz...fit is good and material is decent, especially given the price point....is rather difficult to type at the given angle...I think I would prefer something with multiple viewing/typing angles and a little better quality material...but again, for the price paid it is a good option...I'm betting the CaseCrown will give similar results...
Ryan...should give you the thin, light case you are looking for...that was my main need and am satisfied from that standpoint...

I'm getting tired of not being able to bring my transformer out due to not having any protection. Stingray, you're making me want this case even more so I hope I'm not disappointed after I order it.

None of them are built with the case accommodating the dock. It would pretty much require the entire bottom to be cut out.

just thought i'd throw in my 2 cents here. i just bought 10 CaseCrown iPad2 standby cases for upper management at work and they are really nice cases. one of my friend had one and after messing with it, i liked it enough to recommend to the execs. as soon as the case came up on amazon for the TF i ordered one immediately.

Got an auto email Friday stating they will ship Jun 27th but got nothing so shouted email to them and they stated they did not have enough stock to meet the preorders, next stock they receive is no later than July 8th. I threatened to cancel so they are willing to discount $3 if I wait till then. I preordered Jun 15.
I am in Canada and don't know how these guys ship so I may get this case by August. HA, HA!

The dock compatibility has the downside of exposing the bottom to possible dust and impact. Only way I see a case supporting dock to be fully protective when undocked is if it had some kind of detachable bottom for when you need to actually dock, Probably would be good if it was held in by tiny pop-in buttons of sorts and with a as small a presence as possible so it doesn't cause any discomfort in holding the tablet.
Amazon has this for $80, Best buy for $100. Seems super pricy for a carrying case. Anyone have one?
I want one, but none was in stock when i picked up my Tablet, so im using a HP Tablet case, works, its a bit big for the S Tab though. Im hoping they will make a cover like for the Acer, that the front folds around the back and stays on the Tablet all the time, instead of just a carrying case.

Wow, what a disappointment. I had a feeling it was the same case used for the iPad. You can find it for around $25 on Amazon. I saw the different "model" number and was hoping it was indeed for the Sony Tablet. Bummer!!!

I canceled the order.
I got one. $69 at adorama.com. A simple carry case for the S. Well made, but not a custom fit for the wedge. You can slip the S in with the big end down or up. No holes in it for access. Only useful for transporting your S between use points.

Thanks for the referral. I haven't heard of them. Ordered the dock/cradle for $29.99 free shipping (standard), no tax. Supposed to take up to 10 days for delivery, but it's nice to save a few bucks. My tablet is supposed to be here on the 28th. I was getting ready to take a hike to the nearest Best Buy that has one in stock, but that would be $43 including tax plus fuel.

Nice find. I hadn't seen that case anywhere I looked. If you get the cradle, the S may not fit in it when it is wearing a case. Pretty custom fit when naked. Doubt the power connection will make contact if you add a layer of leather. I'd like to see a slip case that can serve as a stand when the tablet isn't in it. May have to make one myself.
It should have a problem with the cradle as the back of the case seems to bend half way up to create the prop so that should put it out of the way(at least thats how it works with the official sony case)

I was looking online at the Sony Store, they have a real cool one, that you slip the S into, and the front flap can fold over so its still in a case but you can use the Tablet, it was about $40, the downside is its backordered till around mid October!
I bought the dock/cradle, so I was looking for a carrying case. Sony has this one listed on their website but I found it on Amazon, it says Ipad but I'm pretty sure this is 100% the same case. Fits perfectly and exactly what I wanted, and at $16 USD(vs $25) its not a bad price.

I was a bit shocked that you have to stick 2 pieces of Supplied Velcro to the back of the Tablet S and you get some extra stick on gels for the top thick end of the Tablet to keep it secure. The Case really does feel like a premium well made product and im glad i got it. I have concerns about taking the Tablet out of the case as the 2 gels are real sticky and some people would have a job getting it out!!
Overall the case is excellent and can be folded to make typing real easy.

Wow!!! I ordered Saturday and it was delivered today (Tuesday) via FedEx Ground. Noticed the shipping address is a Texas one, which is where I'm located. Perfect timing, as my tablet is on the UPS truck for delivery today. Guess I'll go ahead and order the official screen protector ($19.99) from them as well, although it's backordered.

The Verteks one doesn't ship out until the 18th right? I ended up ordering the Poetic and they said it won't ship out until next week sometime.

I don't mind so much because my TFP is not due until 30 January
I just got a shipping notification from Amazon for the Poetic case. Guessing I'll get it sometime next week.

I ordered my Poetic case on Amazon through Exact-Deal on December 24th. I understand with the back to back holidays, but they shipped it on the 3rd of January. San Francisco USPS received it on the 3rd, but it just left them on the 6th. Thats crazy and the seller will be receiving a bad review for that fact and that fact alone. BUYER BEWARE!

Gotcha. They must've ran out of stock.
I've used Poetic cases on many devices, and love them. I prefer this slim folio style case, as I hate anything covering my bezel or the front of the tablet. Last one I used was for the TouchPad, and it was excellent.
Also, if you compare the two, I much prefer the cutouts on the Poetic. Notice the speaker grille left uncovered? That's a must with the Prime IMO.
Anywho...mine should be here monday / tuesday...will report my findings.

Yes it was in stock....but they might've run out of stock and didnt update their inventory but that's beside the point. They had them in stock when I placed the order and Amazon stated that my estimated delivery date was December 30-January 5th. Today/Yesterday was the 5th and guess what...no product!

Looks like it to me.
I am need of a case bad and these two are on my list with two others. The cheaper the better. There is a Roocase and a Roocase executive and then there is this Moko one and one other one I saw listed. But these two here in this thread are 9.95 and I like that price but I too am wondering which is better they look the same to me too. Is the speaker covered up in the Verteks one someone mentioned the speaker and said they went with the poetic one. I just want everything to be accessible with cutouts and I want it to stand for watching movies and I want to be able to use the tablet while it's in the case too. Some say with pullout sleeve what does that mean? I am getting tablet tues or wed and really need to decide on a case now.
They are the same case. I personally don't like them and neither did my wife who is returning her's. You have to pop the bottom of the tablet out of the hooks to have it sit in the grooves, then pop it back in to have it be flat in the case for closing. It is a heavier duty case for protection IMHO than some of the others. Also you snap the hook over the prime for closing it. I feel that eventually these hooks will loosen especially the bottom ones for angled viewing.
edit I did by the MOKO one and like it alot especially the magnetic closure which is not immediately obvious from the description/picture on Amazon. Read the reviews

So I should spend a little more than 10 bucks and get a better case? I want one where it's easy to take in and out of the case. What about this one below? It's the Moko one the person above asked for the link too and now I see you ended up getting this one. I guess you can't really recommend me one since you haven't tired them all so maybe I'll do the Moko too since you like it. Is it easy to take in and out? Looking at pics of the Moko so does it just slide in and not clip on like the others? I may like that better. I posted some other links to for advice but may do Moko now. How does it work for the stand the back just folds different ways? I know this one case Roocase Executive had an actual built in stand but you couldn't angle it different ways I don't think.

Sorry I know this was about the Verteeks and the Poetic but now I may rule those two out. Which one sounds the best to you? I do want it to be easy to take in and out and have all plugs speaker and stuff not covered. I want it to stand good for watching movies and even stand both ways and be able to use it while it's in the case maybe the top will fold back but if not it's ok.

edit there i also another older thread here that other people have got it and posted pics. It has a velcro closure on the bottom that slides inside the back to secure it. I will be getting the roocase exec. for work when it comes out

I'm not a fan of cases that cover the bezel. I had a case similar to the Verteks and Poetic for my Gtab and loved it. If those hooks eventually loosen, it's not really a big deal since the cases aren't that expensive.
I'm going to return my Transleeve. It's just not as cool or useful in practice as it seemed in theory.

My main goal is to be able to protect and prop up the Prime when I'm at work or traveling, and to be able to take it out of the case easily when I home. At home I just hold it in bed, or on the comfy chair, without the case.
I think the better choices for me given my preference is a case that holds the tablet with clips, rather than have leather or fake-leather covering the bezel. That just makes it thicker, right?
So I think my best choices are the:
1. Moko slim-fit - $12.98

which poetic one did you get?
I am having problems picking a case. I ordered some 19.99 Moko case from here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006BU4TQY/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details
Then cancelled it and found some purple one for 12.99 from same company but I didn't like they way the stand was in the back and someone said it didn't stand very well. So now I don't know what to get but a few people I have heard have either gotten Verteek or Poetic.

I ordered the Poetic "StandBook Stand Leather Case with Angle Adjustable".
It's due early next week.
I think other posters may be right - these cases that look similar on Amazon are actually identical and come from the same Chinese manufacturer.
i really like these angle adjustable cases anyone have any experience with the keyboard dock and these cases? is there a case similar that works well with dock?? I don't have the dock yet but should have it soon and am trying to figure out what case to order thx in advance
