As of late, there have been numerous outbursts by forum members that have caused this forum to go haywire and this place isn't as welcoming as it should be. A great Dev has already raised his concerns for the hostility that has occurred and it is obvious OUR actions have been the root of this issue.
I know we're all excited about this new phone and the possibilities once S-Off is achieved but we really need to come together and combine our knowledge (some more than others obviously) and make this a great experience for all. There will be many new "faces" to android and HTC phones in general which do not know how things work but let's try to be patient and not snap back with snooty or disrespectful remarks.
At the end of the day, we are all here to improve our device ad increase in knowledge. It takes respect to earn respect so let's keep it cool between all of us (members, Devs, & Mods) so we may continue to be productive and learn.

Why all the hostility guys? Let's take a step back and relax. I don't care if this is XDA, Android Forums, RootzWiki... they're all here for us to communicate about the devices and to help each other. I enjoy getting on the forums and helping to troubleshoot issues or to celebrate new modifications for our devices, but it makes it difficult when everyone is fighting each other.
Let's just be calm and patient. We're very close to having Rezound freedom. Once it's official, things will be much calmer and everyone will want to work together on this device!

Hahah damn my job! You guys think you're mad? Our main store f'ed us hard...sent us micro sim cards for rezounds, then promised to over night us regular ones, and then over nighter us micros. We lost five 4g phone sales today, 3 of which were mine (tbolt, and two rezounds) because we didn't have sim cards to activate their phones. The boss called the main store yelling and madethem Saturday over night us regular Sims even tho it cost them like 25 shipping haha we've had it...such an angry day....keep in mind we dont have 4g here so selling 4g phones is really damn hard. Gd it

Why does your post count have anything to do with how legitimate your opinion is? That seems very e-peenish. That guy could have over 1k posts in another forum? And don't tell me it has to do with respect, because clearly you have none either.

Hmm it showed up yesterday as it was protected and you cant see the tweets unless you're following. Wouldn't it just show as you can't view the page instead of it just "this page no longer exists"? I really don't use twitter much :x.
He probably stopped tweeting stuff so he wouldn't get trolled (as much) anymore, he's been putting up with a lot of **** lately and I'm sure he's getting tired of it. Wouldn't you?

From what I gathered from some of the back and forth, he managed a signature bypass flash that changed the cid of the phone that allowed the HTC unlock tool to work.

On Tuesday morning . It's 622 I'm going to bed ill release tonight , you guys waited 3 weeks u can wait a couple more hours . Guess what NO release .
Next day he was asked what happen to the releae . His response . Midget is making a flashable zip chill out .
Yesterday I asked what happened and I was banned lolz
He is a liar for sure he either wants ppl to stick around to keep giving him money or he's an attention whore

If you look at the history of this it was first claimed on Nov 21st to be successful. That is almost a month ago. Really i have stopped looking. His credibility is completely destroyed.
Really im not even convinced he is an adult. His rantings are about at the level of an 8th grader. An immature 8th grader.
I mean by All means support him. Just please stop defending him and judging xda members from having expectations. If he doesn't want trolled or bothered for his method then he shouldn't claim success and post that a release is on the way.
If you look in the evo 3d general the same drama with the same banned dev is causing the same bs as here.
And if he achieve a method that's awesome. what im saying is it has caused a huge amount of discord and bitterness here on xda and you don't put yourself out there like he has and not expect comments, critiques etc from the community.

That's funny! I got banned from the "think tank" forum last night because I questioned him about his lies lol! No big loss, I could care less about his think tank, or him at all. If everyone is putting their hopes in that nutjob achieving S-off/Perm Root, there are going to be alot of disappointed people when all is said and done.

To be honest this is just a great phone. I do have a rooted evo 3d but I use this phone more. Battery life is my only issue but i have multiple batteries.

Luv the phone also. Also have two batteries. With all the memory and speed this phone has, don't have a problem with the bloat until it's rooted. It is faster than any rooted phone I've had. So,I can wait.

I've been following his progress over there for about 2-3 weeks and I keep expecting a release, but haven't seen anything that we can actually use yet. I believe he has made progress but the whole "I'll release it tomorrow" deal is getting old.
I followed a company (AngelBird) that was going to release a revolutionary PCI-E modular SSD and they pulled the same bull****, every time someone asked when it was going be released it was another empty promise (soon!, we're starting to take pre-orders now, it will be released in the next few weeks, etc...). Most of their prospective customers left and I just followed them to see how long it would take for them to release the product, they finally released it a year later and AFAIK no on has really bought it since they kept dicking around.

Exactly. This was suppose to be done almost a month ago and then some BS story is made.
Fine, but then makes a forum to get "help" and says he has root tobe released tonight and nothing.
Hes a attention whore and an immature "adult" acts like a really disturbed mental case at this point. Im not the one to demand anything but when you make empty promises, and keep o. Bs stories and get mad when your trolled then you just ask for it.
If he accomplishes it, great. But imo i dont think hes close and his creditablity drains each day.

After going through 5 different 4g devices LG Revo, Tbolt, 3 Bionics before get a working one the Rezound I wasn't mad and was rewarded in the end. So I can wait forever for s-off or custom roms, so people just need to learn patience. Even if this phone doesn't get I'm happy.

I have to agree, After using my own CleanTOOL 2.1.1 I am pretty happy wit the device as is. Of crouse I am dying for the ability to showcase my ROM building skills but... I cna hold tight unitl someone figures it out. I got plenty of other cool devices to play with in the meantime....

People mistook my other thread, but is isn't their fault as they do not know me personally and my personality. It can be hard to get some things across in type.
The other thread was very tongue in cheek, a sense of false anger to stress my frustrations at the state of affairs.
I was in a bit more foul mood last night though, normally I would not have started a whole new thread.
Hey man, we're all a bit frustrated because we're used to devices that are readily-rooted and can do whatever we wish with them. However, times are changing and technology is becoming more advanced, such as the case with HTC's new bootloader on the Rezound. If we have a few good dev's working on it that haven't cracked it yet, then it's definitely locked up pretty well.
And I understand the frustration you had regarding the whiners. Yes, I need root just as bad as anyone else, but it's the raw potential of this phone ONCE s-off comes that makes me hold on to it and not return it.
Once we get it... we'll make it RAIN up in here!

It's nice to see people taking responsibility for what they put on here. Everyone has an opinion that they are entitled to. Bashing others for not sharing the same opinion is childish. I came from the Thunderbolt and that forum got bad enough I just left. It's good to see most people here are grown ups.
I am excited to see what the awesome devs that are working on this phone are going to cook up for us. If we could all show them appreciation for the unpaid time they spend for our enjoyment, they may want to spend more time looking for that elusive S-Off solution.
They work hard for hardly anything. Some kind words of encouragement and appreciation will go a long way. They will also see this as more of a community than a hood with graffiti and tags on every wall.

I work aviation and had to fix other people's screw ups last night (and last several days) and screw ups in the aviation world are a big deal, so I take it seriously. When one person is a cause of many problems I get irked... Combine that with the fact my Internet was down all night and tethering was acting up so I had to use the phone to get online... Just a storm of irritation that caused me to use poor judgements.
At least you guys don't hate me for it.

Did quick search it. Seems to me that either you are in or not. With our phone being difficult to get the basics functional, the practice of running off the guys that move development forward is slowing progress to a crawl.

I know I personally stopped participating in getting on people who harass the devs or intentionally start drama because the mods say that it's not the communities job to do that. It's theirs. But, it is what it is. I'll still be on this phone until my contract is up. Which is a long time, so most of us aren't going anywhere.

My guess is when they crack the hboot 1.5 and everyone is fully rooted there will be alot more roms and devs back on track..

You bastards haven't missed me? Pfft! Hahahahaha. I'm alive, still have my photon. And that **** served me well. I tried to buy a US sim card from h2o. Pure crap. Didn't work. But. I bought a European one, popped it in. And I was off like clockwork. Phone worked great, and gave me service in some pretty remote ass backward places. So I'm happy with it. Even if I get a new phone, keeping this one for travel purposes.
