Other than best buy, futureshop and Staples, are there any other pre order sites?
I have a champagne transformer pre ordered from staples, as they were the only local retailer that had that color code for pre-order, however I noticed that they have pulled that sku from their website entirely. Not sure what that means but when I called Staples to find out they said that it was a possibility that only a certain number of that color code were available.
I did ask about estimated shipping and the rep had told me it is still slated of the week of Dec 12. So hopefully everything goes through without a hitch.
Has anyone else had this issue at all?
The only two other two places I know you can preorder is ncix.com and memoryexpress.com. Both of those places have the champagne version as well which is why I ordered mine from memory express.
I am just hoping mine gets in before the 21st because I ordered mine in calgary and won't be flying there until the 21st (figured I would save some taxes and not ruin my finals studying with a new toy!).
My last email from Best Buy Canada said the release date was Dec 5, but other than that, no word. I wonder if we are really getting it early here in Canada vs. the US.

Memory express and NCIX have 64gig versions. Although the fact those other big guys don't have it doesn't leave me with confidence that those two will actually be getting them at the same time as the 32gig versions. I am even a bit scared my champagne unit will be late as well since its just those 2 that have it.
Memory Express had 64GB TFs available for preorder in both grey and gold, last time I checked.

Would have like to have ordered from Futureshop but they don't deliver in Quebec because of language laws so I ordered from NCIX. I ordered the original TF from them and got it the second week it came out. Another bonus is I only pay GST and shipping is fairly reasonable. I also ordered from Amazon.ca but I have a feeling I wont get it this month. I'll be canceling the other order once the first one comes in.
Sorry if this is already known but I just got a call from MemoryExpress in Edmonton, AB to change my pre-order because they claim to have received an e-mail from ASUS Canada stating that the only model available in Canada will be the 32GB Amethyst Gray. I asked for confirmation that that would mean NO 64GB and NO gold colour whatsoever and the sales associate said that is what the e-mail said. I asked about any release date info and they said the tablet would arrive in "the next couple weeks" but the dock would be "3-4 weeks away." Take that with a grain of salt though as I don't believe the release date info came directly from ASUS.

dang. I emailed them to ask about it and they emailed back saying they have some info and if I could call them which I figure is bad news. I had an order for champagne gold and mentioned in this thread how I was worried it wouldn't be coming. I gave them my number so we will see if they call me and what they say.
I just pre ordered mine from Amazon.ca says Dec 16th
Well memory express called and said that the only unit they will be getting in is the 32gig grey and the dock. Said that asus said they guess that the champagne gold version will be released sometime in February. Pretty disappointed as I was really starting to like the look of the gold! Ah well as long as they actually get them in around christmas!
Appreciated that they took the time to call me about the order though, the guy at memory express was nice and explained how pissed they were at asus.
I just did NCIX in Vancouver.. no date.. but better then Amazon.ca dating it AFTER jan 31st...

No 64GB... This just sucks. No wonder Best Buy wasn't getting back to me on when they'd be getting that model. REALLY disappointed.

Called Amazon, spoke with a supervisor and then a manager. They told me they are not expecting the 64gb model for 4 to 7 weeks. ASUS has not provided them with an ETA and only a window of sometime in late January.
PURE SPECULATION BELOW:
It looks like ASUS did not produce any 64gb models in order to push out the 32gb models and I would venture to say they haven't even started production of them yet.
Are there any details about the shipping date for Germany / Austria / Middle Europe?
Amazon.de lists it as "not available at the moment", any other (reliable) pre ordering possibilities with dates?

try at www.cyberport.de , they listed it as 2-4 days, luckily i got mine delivered yesterday from them and njying it
they only have 64GB models available
strange that they have an availability for the 64gb model but actually not for the 32 incl. dock...
but it's a good sign anyway.
however they have really bad reputation @geizhals.at
Amazon.de has the 64gb gold for delivery in 1-2 months, the others are out of stock and will e-mail when available.

I can't confirm that - I've ordered a lot of stuff at Cyberport, and I'm really satisfied with their customer support.
Does anybody know if the 32gb model is available without the dock? I can't find it anywhere, not even on Geizhals.at or Amazon.
Here in Switzerland its early-mid January. 32gb+dock bundle or 64gb for the same prize are the offers. @digitec.ch

Got an email today from notebooksbilliger.de. They shipped my TF Prime, a 64GB gold version, yesterday.
So I will get it by friday (today)!!!
I pre-ordered it 14th November.
I also pre-ordered the same model from amazon (de). But they say it won't be available before 19th January.
But as I will get it today from notebooksbilliger.de I will cancel the order as soon as I hold it my hands.
Still no update on the qwertz keyboard docking. Notebooksbilliger.de has never provided a possibility to pre-order it stand-alone, nor has cyberport.de. The only one who offers it is amazon (de) but they cannot tell when it will be available.
Got an update from amazon.de (32Gb incl. dock, grey, preordered on Nov 17th) about a hour ago.
Delivery on Jan 5th.

It seems to be a small total shipment, on the product page there is still no availability shown, but i also read some posts on Facebook that some preorders are being shipped. Amazon Germany page says "Available in 1 to 2 months" for the Prime 64 GB grey. There is no bundle with keyboard for the 64 GB version in Germany (afaik)...
But apparently the status doesnt mean too much considering my first post!
Mine (32GB incl. dock, grey, pre-ordered on Nov 17th) is on its way, too.

In my experience, if you change something about your order (address or bank account), it seems to "update" your shipping status faster. My shipping status yesterday morning was "unknown". After i changed the shipping address & payment option, it immediately changed to "shipping soon" and is now on its way....
Maybe you should try that ;-)

Ah, it seems as though if I use my southern California delivery address, the order would arrive on 12/30. If I use my address in New Jersey where I am now, the order would arrive on 1/3. This is regardless of having one-day shipping for both options. Different distribution centers?
I hurried and checked my email/amazon order status, lol. I order on Dec 20th, not with the pre-sale or previous 1st pre-order batch and my Previous estimated arrival date: January 25, 2012 - February 08, 2012 and still is showing estimated arrival date as the same, no change

Yep, ordered on 22 Nov, and am counting myself lucky to still have an 10 Jan ETA. Interesting strategy ASUS has to bone the folks who were willing to pay the premium for the step up.
I think Amazon got some more units, which is why people are getting these "Good news!" emails.
I predict as Amazon bumps up their supply, more people will start seeing "Good news!" emails. Hopefully though, with people canceling their Amazon pre-orders to get ones from BB, OD, Staples, DataVis, B&H, J&R, Newegg or TD, Amazon will be able to supply more units to those who have already pre-ordered.
I say that because Amazon hasn't been updating their web page to tell people they have more in stock like BB is doing with each new shipment.
I order a pair, one champagne and one black silver, both 32gb. Only got the good news email for the champagne order. Will be delivered by Dec 30 (which is tomorrow!!). No tax from Amazon. Good thing I waited. Yay.

Right, and no official word from ASUS either. I think I'm close to canceling and waiting for the iPad 3 in late Feb. The mixed reviews around here don't help either, I was so hyped for this thing reading all of the official reviews.

In the same boat as you. Ordered 12/26, Grey 64GB from amazon.com. Currently don't even have an estimated date of arrival. Going to give it another week or two then I'll suck it up and pay tax+recycling fee and order at local Frys. Or wait out until BestBuy has some in stock (they have a better return policy than Frys).
The funny thing is that my friend ordered the 32gb a week after me and received his yesterday. So I talked to amazon and they said I will have it by the 26th. But I don't know if they are just telling me that because my estimated delivery date is between January 26th - March 15th. Which I find very odd.

Honestly, I think most of the Amazon reps we talk to are clueless. You'd have to get transferred to someone higher up to really get some answers. Even then, they probably wouldn't be able to reveal how much stock they are getting versus how far along you are on the wait list.
You are very right about that. I just find it odd that I'm going to be one of the earliest people to of ordered it but one of the latest to receive it. Its killing me reading about it lol

I went for the 32gb model and bought a tiny 16gb usb mem key to slot in the side.

I can confirm that my local Frys have the 64GBs in stock, if you have any in your area and don't mind paying tax and can deal with the shorter return period it's worth checking out.

Yeah when I look at the frys website, they say they have the 64 gb is stock (grey) then you call to verify and they don't have any in stock except for the display model. Glad I called before placing order, driving only to be told we don't have any. FRYS FIX YO WEBSITE! This is the Downers Grove, IL location. Wow that's very odd because as I mentioned further up my friend ordered his Dec 27th (32gb champagne) from Amazon and received his 2 days ago. I thought it was just the 64gb people were having trouble with. I hope this gets sorted out for you bud.

Heh...I pre-ordered a 64gb champagne back when they first had it, 11/22. I did not have my order canceled but they did push the delivery estimate to Jan 26 - Feb 13. Good luck with that!
THANK GOD Amazon messed up! I was able to get in on the HH Gregg deal last Friday. I used in store pickup just in case they decided to cancel the orders, so I paid tax, but it was in my hands last Friday. So I canceled my order...that should help you get yours faster ;-)
I am also glad I ignored all of the whiners complaining about wifi, bt & GPS. I get 3 bars of Wireless N 2 floors from the router and in that same spot the GPS locks on before the map has a chance to display. I haven't done any "official" tests...that's tonight. BT keyboard is out for delivery...I don't really see using the dock a whole lot...if I need to type that much I'll use a laptop or desktop.
Ordered a 32gb champagne and a 64 gb grey on 11/22. Received the champagne 32 on 12/19 and the grey 64 on 1/5. Also ordered a champagne doct on 11/22... still waiting on that...

I am really worried about my shipping date being pushed back again. Even if it isn't, having to wait till the end of February is ridiculous. A two month+ wait just doesn't make any sense! Either amazon took far more orders than they could possibly fill in a reasonable amount of time (unethical), or asus is not giving amazon the supply a retailer of it's size deserves.

A few days back I got the Amazon prime membership and updated my shipping to the free 2 day when I did my ship date
changed from Jan 27-Feb 28 to Jan 26- March 6 which I also find odd.
But yes I am worried about my ship date too.
