I like your positive attitude BUT.
MIUI is designed to run on ARMv7 phones and Legend is using an ARMv6 processor which is already crippling slow and a pain in the arse.
That's just not it. It's also designed to run at 480x800 or higher and our Legend is running at a measly puny 320x480.
So yes, you will never see MIUI running on a Legend ever never ever never!

Gingerbread on Wildfire

Wow!
Shame the Wildfire isnt powerful enough to run it properly!
It is.
There's almost nothing new to 2.2, so it can run it as good as 2.2
How would the wildfire not be able to run gingerbread? Gingerbread doesn't require any special hardware
Hope HTC hire you...

No joke ? How battery is loading without cable ?
There is no problem to run 2.3 on Wildfire, Android is not Windows Mobile and don't need 2-3x more ram and CPU. 2.3 is faster than 2.2, this is the same, new kernel, same system with more tweaks and features. Just waiting for drivers for WildFire and ROM port.
I take my words back.
Great job, you devil, you!

[Q] ICS or CM9 Port? LG Ally?

is there any developer that is willing to port ICS or CM9 to the LG Ally? i would much appreciate it, this phone is becoming dead and i want it to keep it alive. the AndroidForums site are doing there best to keep development, i think someone should make a Ally thread Thanks for any support or Developers that want to develop.
Thats a pretty old phone and I highly doubt you'll ever see an ICS port. Even if you did it would run pretty poorly on those specs (600mhz processor and 256MB of RAM). You may be able to find CM7 for your phone which would actually be usable.

A Froyo ROM would be snappier on a lower end phone, GB would manage, ICS would run like crap.

You mind posting a link to a CM7 port?
You need at least 512mb of RAM for a workable ICS port.

There are actually lot of roms running ICS with much less than 512MB of ram and Cyanogen has been quoted to say that you need 256MB, not 512. My Fascinate, which has 384MB of useable ram and is running the newest version of AOKP, runs better than my brother's stock Galaxy Nexus which of course has 1GB. It's just not as simple as saying it doesn't have enough ram.
The problem with the Ally is that it does not have a gpu good enough for any sort of hardware acceleration.
PSA: you are all wrong
The Lg vortex shares the same processor as the ally and the optimus v, both phones run cm9 perfectly smooth, my sister is getting a ally within the next week, i will work on an ics port

Dual boot

Is there any method to dual boot android and wp7?? The animations are so cool and stuff in wp7. Is there any method known? I know in HTC hd2 it's possible. Other than that, in gs3 ??

No and it won't I guess.
At hd2 it has been possible, because it is a wp and the devs could port android, because it is open source.
The other way round is much harder.
And sry but for my opinion wp7 is crap compared to android, even when you compare it to good old gb and I guess most people here share my opinion (no offence in any way, I only want to point out that I don't think any developer is working or will work on it).

I prefer android, best is something depending on opinions and use.
Even when there would be a wp7 port, wp8 is completely different and would need the whole thing ported from scratch.
And like already said, because wp is closed source it will be really hard to get it to work, I would recommend to not expect a working port for the gs3.

No, we can't develop for it cuz IPhone is designed for ios and if android is developed for iPhone then I think Apple would sue the developer ( not sure though ). We can't develop properly for it, we need proper packages, omx codecs ,proper libs. Finding or writing omx codecs is difficult job cuz there is difficulty in finding proper omx libs for android phones! How can we find for iPhone???
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda app-developers app
I know its very difficult...but if we try...it will be possible...I have googled it any many say that its possible but a bit tough and risky...for we need jailbreaking iOS....which is easy...then need to put our brains and start the Developement.
Well, you'd need proper drivers; either you get them from Apple or you're building them yourself (which is a real pain).
You'd also need to somehow get the Android kernel in there, which is also a pain, since ... well, it just is...
It's tricky, but I've seen a pair of iPhone 4s with Android on, i just don't know where and when...
Though Android still RULZ
Well it will be.difficult....but i have seen people using android iphone...i know we cant make a perfect rom but still we can make a compatible rom

Don’t forget, judging by all lawsuits (Apple vs the world) no body can develop anything similar to their products or use their products, whilst they continue to freely, so called, “innovate” what android been doing for years (i.e. “pull down notification” blatant copy).

Back in like ios 2 or earlier they used to have android in cydia....And,even then thr marker didnt work...
But as everyones saying...due to the fact that apple keeps everything clised source, sues everyone, and puts in a ton of security...it would be extremely hard and take months if not years...by the time we got it going for one there would be a new one...we hav no source to work with
The people that actually deveolp stock roms get paid and work in large teams and also have degrees in this sort of thing...its there job -and it still takes them about a year to release
Now look at us xda people...some of us,may have degrees in development. But many of us,are self taught. On top of that we all have a life outside of xda...jobs, family friends...so we really dont have that much time to work on stuff. Last...we are not paid...we do it cause we enjoy it...but i dont think anyone would enjoy building android for iphone simply cause you would pretty much have to creaye your own drivers and libs
So sorry to burst your bubble...but i dont see this ever hapoening. The end product isnt worth the work, not to mention the lawsuits apple is famous for...

i dont think it would make much sense. iphone has a processor about 800 mhz right? it wont create a performance thats near to any androidphone, it would probably lose against my x10 with 1ghz and 384 mb ram.... Maybe one could build donut or froyo for it andbthat would also run like it should after two years in development or so, but who would use it (you wouldnt by an iphone if android was on it, because any androidphone would give better performance for lower price, so you buy it because it works better than android and, oh yes, the apple...) I think it would be much cooler to port ios to work on androidphones, soon, when apple "invented" all features of android, it will still have the better performance, thet even hardest androidfans have to see.

It's a lawsuit waiting to happen though...apple would shut it down the moment they heard of it...
iOS is closed source...that being said it requires permission to work with it. With out permission you are illegally working on it. It would not be allowed on xda due to lack of permission...
As for porting android to iPhone...as I said earlier I don't see that happening either...there's not enough demand and we have no drivers/proprietary files to work with

Don't get me wrong I liked my Amaze but this phones life span has come to an end. I'm now using the Galaxy Note 2 and I love it.

You will need extra batteries or charger and a nice sturdy case.

The Amaze is a good phone. While there is not much development, there are some good mature ROMs based on ICS (like NRG). One advantage it has is that the accessories are cheap - you can get extra batteries & etc. for very reasonable prices).
The camera on the Amaze is very good, if that is important to you.

The phone is stretching to work with newer operating versions. HTC designed it for ICS Imo, and that is where it works best. I personally have no particular desire to try anything else.
Of course, I came to the Amaze from the HD2, so I was a bit spoiled in terms of developer support.
