i have come to love the Ubermusic app. I think its one of the best players for android because of its stability & the fact that it doesnt slow my W8 down but the best thing is its looks & feel. i have already seen Zune themes & MIUI themes & i was wondering if anybody would know of a Walkman theme for it.....or somebody could make 1 for all of us SE users. I think the 1 thing missing from Ubermusic is that Walkman look & feel......i would love to make 1 myself.....but i have absolutely no idea how to....just a thought

Hello XDA Members,
I want you to join me on a project in creating an theme for the Galaxy Player.
The Goal of this project should be:
- The compatibility to all Galaxy Players
- An consistent theme to all Galaxy Players, it should be modern and themed for everyone.
- It should be available to some launchers.
Everyone is free to join.
Everyone can take part.
At this time, i'm searching members for the project.
Post here and give your idea how it should look like.
Also if you are interested in creating pictures for the theme or coding the theme you also can post here.
First of all we need a name.
Post your Ideas.
Mike "Tecardo" Leitner
Since Samsung hasn't interest in update of our Galaxy Player... We must create a ICS Theme or Launcher very similar to original... That's my opinion cuz i really like the appearance of ICS
this was also an idea of me,
The Holo Theme is simple, modern and nice.
Meh I don't like the ICS theme that much. There is already a theme for that.
I wanted a MIUI theme, becuase no one has achieved to port MIUI launcher to the Player yet (if I'm correct). Something elegant is nice in my opinion.
But I have no knowledge of coding, sorry .
I do like this project though!
How about change GlassLock screen to TapLock?
I think Tap lock is looks good
I'm intrigued....
http://developer.android.com/design/index.html
I think this website will be helpful for us when we make
ICS theme maybe(?). We can see many detailes about ICS looks(?) in this website
Yes, i know about this site.
It is important, that we make something, that everyone of us would accept.
That means also some drawbacks for some
A list of your ideas:
An ICS Style
An MIUI Style and TapLock instead of GlassLock.
Instead of creating a ICS theme from scratch, we can try porting Vertumus' ICS Domination Theme if he allows us to. It will be easier than building from scratch.
Yes, right.. I will try this this week.
I'm busy with ics and miui.
Using YP-G1
Ok as its known to arc users there ICS is coming so i had a little peek at what it includes
The UI is the same generally as the S but an idea for developers maybe to add there music lockscreen, fast text on call and the task viewer

Good luck guys have fun!
ProjectM For Android. Preview on Sony Xperia Arc S Ics 4.0.3
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZwRdHl7PAg
** Note its not free on google market
ProjectM is an awesome music visualizer, has alot of visualizations. Visualizes, gives Rhythmic Feedback According to Music, Beats, Bass, Voice, etc. There is nothing better in the world of Unix. projectM's greatness comes from the hard work of the community. Users can create presets that connect music with incredible visuals. Can Try it! If you Like it!
All projectM requires is a video card with 3D acceleration and your favorite music ( just the normal stuff in a smartphone )
If its new for you and you Want it now or for whatever reason you are happy after knowing about it, then don't forget to press Thanks!
Enjhoy!!

So download the paid app friend its your wish, though its awesome!
The bane of ICS for me and my OCD is the terrible mixture of froyo and gingerbread style sony apps with the new ICS theme. I'm sure it goes against the conventions set in google's guidelines on how to make apps for ICS and its slowly but sure driving me me me much more insane.
I would be grateful on a discussion of what can be done to remedy this dreadful plight... I have gathered a couple of ideas but I am looking for more!
1. The music player has ghastly bubbles in its corners and does not fit with ICS theme.
in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1716549
Lasanda links to a thread with an APK that updates the default player to a walkman version ripped by doomlord which can be found in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1676013
also I would suggest trying out vanilla music player, it's open source and works with the new lockscreen as well as having widgets that work in other launchers. I can't get the album artwork to work on my mini though (while it works no problem on an android mediaplayer I also have) so would appreciate if anyone else has any input.
2. The home screen's capped framerate now looks laggy since the ICS ui has significantly improved graphical performance from extra use of the GPU. The color scheme and style of the bubbles is also out of phase with the new ICS theme. They shoulda just changed the bubbles for futurisitic triangles or something.
- the best I've managed so far is replacing with zeam
3. call screen : bubbles/
-no idea, if anyone has any clue what to do here if and how to replace the call screen I would be happy and give you my thanks.
Apart from lack of encryption and this poor theme, ICS is good for me. Please share any more tips to improve it further though
thanks
What I Like the Most In SONY Devices Is Its STYLE.
The Way They Custom The Android With Thier Own IMAGINATION Is Next To None!:fingers-crossed:
Keeping In That Mind I'm Asking The Developers Of Xperia On XDA To Develop
A Walkman Widget With The Style Of Their Previous (2011) Walkman Series Widgets.
I've Found The Original Widget From XDA (somewhere I Forgot),And So Posting The Link (Of Mediafire) HERE.:good:
The Requirement Is Simple
1>To Keep The Dazzling Light Bubble On The Playing Bar In The Widget
2>To Use The Original Xperia S Widget Skin (Either GB or ICS One)
And Please Please Please Make It For Non Rooted Users Just Like The Original One I've Posted
Thank You
?
Is it possible to use Walkman Widget (modded probably - is there any...?) whith other launchers?
As far as I can tell, this is damn near impossible to do. There are MANY requests for this on other threads where other devices use the walkman app, but noone has got it working correctly yet. I assume it can be done, but it may require an entire rewriting of the widget itself. It just isnt worth it.
Help
