I sync my gallery with Picasa using Photosync by Akira Soumi. But the gallery puts my pics out of chronological order/doubles pictures.
I'm supposing this is because of the slowmo SD read times...?
Does anyone else have this issue or it is only me? I use my gallery extensively on both EVO and Jetstream. But the jetstream gallery has been frustrating me the last week or more this way.

is there any picasa integration for this HTC flyer?
i cannot find the icon or button, used to be on the gallery on my previous android device (DHD).
i also check the sync and not finding the sync, only the calendar, contact and gmail sync available.
anyone have different experience?
Hi
I have found this also. It's with the 2.3.3, the Picasa integration disappears. I had it on my DHD but after the 2.3.3 update it kept force closing and crashing. I uninstalled the add on and went to re install but the app is no longer available from the HTC Hub/Likes.
Just have to wait and see if they fix it and put it back on!
Hope this helps,

Hopefully this won't be too off-topic, as it seemed worse to start another Picasa thread so soon after this one. But on a similar note, how are you guys accessing Picasa? If I go to Picasa on the stock browser, it forces to the mobile version of the site. Then, when you got view a photo, its tiny and very low resolution. The photo is actually smaller than the thumbnail!
Things look fine in the free Picasa Tool app. But it seems silly to have to use a 3rd party app to use a Google product on an Android tablet. Plus, Picasa Tool has its own flaws. Namely, when you view a gallery, it forces to portrait (does not rotate into landscape), which is pretty annoying if you are viewing photos in landscape mode.
Any workarounds or suggestions?
To be honest I used my DHD for Picasa, until the update lol. Now I'll upload to Picasa but not view, which is a shame as it would be ideal to take with you and be able to show off your pics.
I tried the Picasa tool but didn't like it, as you said weird to have a 3rd party app on an Android tablet!
I have just ended up adding all the pics on Picasa to the Flyers external SD, duplicating the pics but at least they are full size and easily accessed.
I am really hoping they fix the add-in soon as it was great to have Picasa there as an extension of my albums!
yeah im really hoping there's an access to the picasa web album from my flyer, it's a great tablet
SOL
On my Nexus One my Picasa folders just showed up in the Gallery. I had assumed that it would be the same on the Flyer but not so. I really miss that functionality, it was so seemless.
Since the N1 is running 2.3.4 it's not an Android thing, it's the way HTC has implemented their version of the Gallery app. I really hope they get that upgraded soon.
I also thought so. Try to reduce dependency from google maybe?

More likely some kind of deal with Flickr, I'm guessing.
There is an app called Gallery 3D https://market.android.com/details?id=com.cooliris.media - I think it was ripped from Nexus One, but i seamlessly integrates with my Picasa albums

Hello,
I am trying to find a replacement app for my gallery. It has to be well put together but the main thing is, it needs to have dropbox viewing. The stock HTC gallery app has it but mine isnt working for some reason. Any ideas?

Have you tried quickpic? its free in the market. I LOVE it and never ran into any issues what so ever.
I tried quickpic but i couldnt find any option to view photos from dropbox. Samething with fish bowl.
Does this really not exist? I am looking for a sollution where photos are located on Dropbox or Google Drive.
I think the thing is that pics stored on g drive or dropbox aren't actually on your phone unless you export them to your sdcard.
Although it would be pretty sweet to have a gallery app link to those accounts/apps I wonder if the issue is actually the available api's?

I have PhotoSphere installed and working. But when I upload via Gallery 4.2 and/or Google+ to Google+, it's just a flat image.
What do I have to do to get it to view like Streetsview? I've Googled the crap out of this and apparently nobody on this planet has ever explained how they get Photosphere photos to Google+ to make it work.
So an answer here will be the first for humanity.
Thanks.

Hi, I have the same problem, images uploaded from mobile are flat (via share or via google+ app), have to copy the file to the pc and add them using web brwoser only, only then they look like a photosphere and not flat images.
Please help!!
In case anyone happens upon this thread while Googling for an answer for this, I finally figured this out. You have to email the photo sphere to a Gmail account (likely your own). Then, on your computer, when you open the email there will be a "Share" button beside the image. Share it from there to Google Plus, and you should be golden.
Google clearly didn't quite this one through very well, but hopefully they'll fix it in an update. I'm only running 4.2.1 at the moment, so maybe they already have.
This still happens. However with auto backup it uploads correctly!

I'm about to smash my Photon and I need some help. I recently upgraded to peetr's custom 2.3.5 hybrid ROM so I could use TMobil. The only camera app I can get to work with photobucket uploading is the stock camera. I've tried 3 other camera apps, and every time I select "photobucket" as the "Share this photo" destination, I get the "Media added to photobucket queue" message....and that's it. No uploading. No errors, nothing. If I use the stock camera to take a pic and select photobucket, it uploads just fine.
The problem is, the stock camera is tied into "Gallery ICS" and I can't separate them. In my previous setup, when I took a pic with the stock camera, then clicked on that pic in the bottom left corner, the pic would pop up full screen and I could check it out and upload or delete it.
In peetrs ROM, when I take a pic and then click on it, it opens Gallery ICS, which then shows me a thumbnail of every fricking folder anywhere on my camera I have a photo saved. WTF? I don't understand why anyone could possibly want that behavior from a camera app, but whatever. I've scoured the settings and I can't find any way to stop Gallery ICS from popping up when I want to view a pic in the camera.
Does anyone know how to fix the photobucket uploading issue or force the camera to just let me view a pic when I click on it?

Just a thought that you could try actually searching the the first post of this ROMS thread. The answer is right there under the optional APKs.
BlurCamera with gallery choice - mainly for Quickpic (pictures must be on internal SD)
That should hopefully fix your issue. I'll test with my photobucket to see if I can make it upload.

I have the new camera working, but when I click on a pic to view it, I get "Media Gallery not installed". This happens regardless of which storage location is selected (internal or SD). Am I supposed to install something else?

QuickPic was already installed before I "upgraded" the camera. I can launch QuickPic fine, but this new camera app doesn't give me the option to select a gallery, just an error when I click on a pic. Any other ideas?

If you can't set the photo gallery that launches, I would just move on to trying a different/previous camera. Can you go to manage apps and clear any defaults that would be causing it to only use that gallery?
Sorry, wish I could be more help.

Yes, I've cleared data, it did nothing. I really don't understand how this replacement camera is supposed to work, if it even does. Has anyone here successfully swapped out their stock camera with the one linked in the first post and have it working? If so, could you please respond?
This is the most frustrated I've been in 3 years, 2 cameras and a dozen roms. The stock camera and Camera ICS on this rom blinds everything with the flash making them unusable. This replacement camera doesn't blind everything with the flash, but it throws this damn "Media Gallery not installed" error. I just want crap back like it was, where I had a stock camera with a flash that didn't blind everything and let me open pics to view them without showing me every picture gallery on the camera. Of course I can't go back to that rom since I flashed the KDDI radio.
I have a question about my wife's F1.
I just noticed that she doesn't use a proper app to view the gallery (i.e., view photos taken on her device). When she takes a photo, she can look at it by selecting it in the stock camera app at the bottom. Then, when she wants to look for more photos taken in the past, she flicks through the photos ONE BY ONE (I think this is still the camera app).
Now, there is also a stock gallery app (it's called "Photos" in English, I assume). Why the hell is this not linked up to the camera app in the first place? The follow-up question would be, how do I configure the camera app to always use "Photos" for viewing pictures taken?
Thanks guys for any advice!

No, this is definitely not Google Photos. She doesn't use that - and I know how it looks. This was just some kind of image preview. Definitely not a gallery.
In a gallery, you can see many photos at once, and scroll through days/weeks/months, select photos, share them, etc.
Other people on the internet mention a shortcut to the gallery in the stock camera app of the F1, but from what I can tell, nothing like that here. Maybe I can post a picture later.
No one here has experienced this? Or maybe knows how to change the gallery app?

Even if you set Google Photos as the default app... The Camera interface opens the default gallery.
