11414 firmware update - Nokia Lumia 800

I still have the 11414 firmware and no update so far. Has anyone got the update to 11454 that was mentioned before? I have talked with Nokia today and their helpdesk has told me that a new firmware will be released in 2 weeks time. Might this be the 11454 or is there going to be a newer one?? Any ideas...

If you phone is branded to an operator, that is why...
Operators don't update firmwares often...
Actual firmware is 11451

Bought it SIM free :-(. Oh and i have th eupdate incorrect, should be 11451!

Mines currently a UK Simfree handset (Cyan) which is free from any branding. However, I am still awaiting the update from Nokia as well. Its currently running version 11414

Thant's great Andy, looks like we will just have to wait !!

Seems to be a problem with CYAN version.

I have use the Nokia Care Suite to upgrade, but it does wipe your phone.
However, if you look on the Nokia Data Package Manager 4.2 there is clearly a update for the simfree product code (059M539)

In Nokia Data Packet Manager.
1. Product Type: rm-801
2. Then click search, this will then pull down a list of Lumia 800 variants or if you know the "Product Code" type this in the box next to "Product Type" and then click search. As a example mine is 059M539.
3. Right click on the selected firmware and click "download selected"
If you are running Win7, this will then create the directory and place all the files in there ready to be used in the Nokia Care Suite.
Thanks

Ive looked on nokias site and it says my update for the 710 is availible but zune says NO .
Nothing yet on my stock Lumia 800 here in the UK. Will give it a few hours and try again. Usually takes a while for updates to fully roll out so I'm sure it'll come soon enough.
To confirm, my product code is 059L7C2 and Nokia say my update is available, so time to just play the waiting game now.
Try this is Zune says your phone is up to date.
turn the phone into airplane mode.
check in zune for an update if it says its upto date click ok, the press one above or below the update option.
next click update and around 2-3seconds disconect from your internet conection, hopefully it will say update available, reconect click ok, and sit back
Ive just done this for my 710 and its updating now.

I updated to 7.8 via NCS a few weeks ago but I've read that the Zune 7.8 update came in several parts.
Do I have to try to get the OEM CAB files onto my phone as well to complete the update?

If your phone is already on 7.10.8858.136 the cabs won't upgrade anything.
Unless the OEMupdate cab contains a newer firmware than came with your NCS ROM, but then you need to only deploy that single cab.
Hi guys
I have updated mine via cab sender everything works fine except lockscreen+wallpaper which doesn't open for me. Anyone know how to fix this?

[Q] How to download firmware on Lumia 920

there seem to be many different guides on how to download ROMS, but either I'm being really stupid, or something is wrong.
I have a UK Lumia 920, unlocked but with EE firmware. I want to debrand it and put on the latest version of generic UK firmware. I have tried using NaviFirm 1.7 (and 1.6 and 1.5) but I recieve an error saying the connection is unauthorised, no matter which of the 3 servers I select. If I try to use Nokia care suite (product support tool for store) v 2013.8.3, I can open a product, but I can't view or download any firmware. I have tried the older version of the care suite (2012) but it had the same issue
I can see on some guides it states I need to use NaviFirm to download the firmware (which I cant do due to the error described above) and import it into Nokia care suite.
how can I download the firmware for me phone, and how do I go about flashing it? Am I using the wrong programs or reading outdated info?
I have Windows XP 32bit
Am pretty sure Nokia have stopped people from using their servers through Navifirm and Nokia Care suite, The last version I used that worked was on a Lumia 900 and was ver 1.5 but that was some time ago :crying:
It is still possible to download FW with the help of Nokia Care Suite - without any obstructions.
Install correct NCS and copy new *.cfg file. Then if you know the PC you can download i use to flash only NCS
So how do I go about doing it, because using the versions described above i cant do it. What is the 'correct version'. The 2013 version of NCS i used the cfg file but it didn't make much difference (not really sure what it does)

Managed to get it to connect and download ROMs, but now I am stuck for which ROM i need. The main issue I have is that there is no 4G option on my phone. I thought I was using an UK EE ROM, but now I thoink I am using 'CV_GB_VAR270603_v5_confml_Black' ROM, as my operator show in the about section says 'CV GB'
I assume the ROMs described as 'global' the generic ones?

Hi Did you manage to upgrade your firmware in the end? I have a Lumia 925...I've only had it a few weeks, but already hear there is a new version of the firmware... which is great!... except Vodafone are unlikely to release it anytime soon.... I understand WP8 is a hard OS to crack in terms of rooting, but if anyone has a simple way of installing official Nokia ROMs - it would be really useful to know. Cheers!

Thanks for linking to my site, Gee2012. I try to keep it as up to date as possible. It has served over 20,000 downloads in the past 90 days. That's a lot of Nokia users...
That program works! Thanks! Now I am on the latest GDR3 via the Preview for Developers. The only downside is it wiped out the phone clean and restore all the apps with settings back and also the live tiles arrangement, but this is more an annoyance than a problem.
