[Q] Please help (not sure where to post) UNroot E3D

Roughly a year ago I got my Sprint EVO 3D. As soon as the first *successful* root procedure was posted I followed it to root my phone. Nearly a year later I have had ZERO issues with my phone/service until about 2 weeks ago. My data speed is nearly non existent. My wife has the same phone with same root. Using the speedtest.net app "HER" phone will get 4 megs download. Mine.....0.12.
I called Sprint and they said they can find nothing on there end to indicate a problem. That it has to be a problem with my phone and I am to take it in and have it checked out. Obviously I can't take it in rooted. I am seeking help/advice to unroot my phone. I feel confident that I can do it, but am confused as to which procedure to use as I cannot remember the name of the root. To re-clarify, I used the FIRST working root that was ever posted.
Any/all help is GREATLY appreciated. I would like to apologize if this is posted in the wrong area. I mean no harm, no foul.
This should have been asked in Q&A. You have to download the ruu and relock your bootloader.
I am so sorry for the wrong area. Should I delete the thread and repost over there? Also do you have a link or push in the right direction to get the PROPER ruu?

Or do a Google search. Good luck.
Thank you so so so much (thanks button clicked on both your replies). When I first rooted my phone I was like "yes I did it". Now I feel like such a noob.
After some searching and trying my best to remember the root I used I believe I have found it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192245
Will the information you gave to me UNroot THIS particular root method?

Why not? According to internal documents, Sprint requires their employees to treat rooted users equally as unrooted. From everything I've read, no one has had problems taking rooted phones in (especially recently). Of course, YMMV.

Lesson learned man, no sweat a mod moved it for you. Any luck?
I never said Sprint said I couldn't take it in rooted. I am just trying to be thorough is all. The way my luck runs, had I posted I took a rooted phone in for servicing and was told I was screwed because it was rooted it would have been an absolute flame fest of replies LoL
At least this way I know. I can feel confident in what I am doing instead of going at it blind.

Thanks for the info. This seemed to help. I found a local shop through a friend that doesn't care if you are rooted or not. Still am going to try to unroot as it is just nice to know these things.
I have not got around to unrooting just yet. I have been extremely busy. Rest assured I will post as soon as I do (am hoping I can on the 4th) attempt it and share my results.

SORRY it has taken so long to reply. I have been dealing with some health issues. YES thanks to a a guide I found elsewhere I was able to unroot the revolutionary method I first used. Took my phone to Sprint today and they found several issues with it and ordered me a new one. Thanks so much everyone for all the help

Will Root Keeper work When updating to Jelly Bean?

I'm one of the lucky ones that has a 'good' prime so I'm looking forward to the JB update but really don't want to loose root! Will Root Keeper work when updating to JB?
I don't want to loose my Sixaxis Controller ability!
Thanks

According to the TF300 forums, looks like Rootkeeper worked for people using SuperSU.

Its a valid question IMO. It´s XDA, people here know stuff before everyone else, not to mention the amount of things devs have achieved with devices before they even launched.

When the update hits, I'm planning to do a factory reset/clean install. I didn't find rooting to be at all difficult the first time so I'm assuming that it should not be a big deal to just re-root afterwards. Any reason to think I'm making a bad assumption there?
Great! Thanks for the responses Dudes! I really hope it does, but if it don't then I know the very helpful XDA community will provide a root solution soon after!

Sounds like a good idea to me :fingers-crossed: but then again I'm still quite new to this so don't take my word on that.

[closed] Does anyone know how to brick the prime?

Mine is still unfder warrenty, I managed to brick it once so good that I couldnt even get into download mode, or recovery, now that the prime is gone and out of stock, if I brick it I could get credit towards a newer one. I know this is not the best thing to do but im on .21 from factory and really tired of coming back here to see no way to root it, well not without of hours of reading. So yes I actually do want to brick it. Best Buy will no longer fix them. Sorry if I sound evil.

So you are basically asking for help to commit fraud on Best Buy by purposefully killing your tablet so you can claim " it doesn't work and I don't know why" so as to get a replacement? Sorry can't help you.
why don't u just read the brick recovery thread and see for yourself how people got bricked.

Sorry, I had to close this thread. It is not acceptable to ask for guidance to commit illegal acts on xda.

Can't get Galaxy Note to Root via Odin

I'm trying to root my i717 Galaxy Note. I'm still on Gingerbread, so I have been trying to use Odin v.1.85, but it keeps failing. I have downloaded the latest USB drivers from Samsung, but nothing works. Any suggestions?
Go back to post 1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1863995 and read those suggestions.
Edit: added link because somehow I posted in the wrong thread since the OP posted his issue in 3 different places.
comprehensive Odin trouble shooting guide....written by a very astute guy if ya ask me
Thank you. Yeah, I did post in more than one place. It was 2am and I was really frustrated with my phone and Odin.
I read that first link last night, but it didn't help. I'll read through that second link and see if any of that helps. Thanks again.

not to discredit person posting first link or the author of the first link, but STUDACRIS's link sure seems a lot easier to understand and from my experience has always been sound advice.
im sure its just me, cause I always want to play things a little safer, whether its overkill or not. I don't understand why someone would make a seemingly large leap from GB to JB in one swoop, let alone rooting the GB before hand.
again, that's just me. if Samsung or carrier is providing the unrooted upgrade, I let them take care of that leap and they are responsible, then rooting is the only thing I have to worry about not screwing up. better safe than sorry. its a marathon not a sprint.
absolutely no disrespect meant. its your phone not mine.
best of luck to you my friend.

Is it time to give up on the mod?

Serious question. I have been a fan of everything that does not come out of the box for years now. I remember my first Mod at ...well hell I think they called it a Fire something..HTC? Anyway I would like to ask. Is it done?
