[Q] BP Pass Through - Motorola Photon 4G

I am trying to unlock my bootloader. I went through all the steps and couldn't get it to work. I am currently rooted and that is it. I put my phone into rsd mode, put the sbf into rsdlite and then plug my phone in. I click start and everything seems to work until it gets to 98%. The status says BP Pass Through and then it says failed. I am running rsdlite 5.6.

It's supposed to fail. After it does, boot into fastboot then issue the unlock commands in fastboot from your computer:
Code:
moto-fastboot oem unlock
copy the unique id that it spits out then
Code:
moto-fastboot oem unlock yourid
this assumes that you are inside the moto-fastboot directory or have added moto-fastboot or fastboot to your path.

Can't Get Into Fastboot or RSD.

I can't seem to get phone to finish Fastboot or RSD boot. I can put the phone into either mode, and it gives me the screen Starting Fastboot (or RSD) protocol support. Then it stops there. If I plug in the phone, Fastboot devices returns nothing.
I had updated my phone to the latest OTA, 2.3.4, and then used the Fastboot method of rooting phone with these instructions.
http://briefmobile.com/motorola-atrix-4g-root
Phone is definitely rooted, have several apps loaded that need SU. When I boot phone normally it is recognized as a mass storage device in both windows and linux (I can drag and drop files from and to phone).
So why would fastboot quit working after root, and would that have caused it?

Soft brick .
Download moto-fastboot, and unzip to C:\moto-fastboot
DL here:http://www.android-advice.com/file-d...rix_Root_Files
Download system image for 2.3.4 and unzip to moto-fastboot folder
DL here http://www.android-advice.com/file-d...bread_4591_ROM
Download atrix oem unlock and unzip to moto-fastboot folder
DL here:http://gititbit.ch/pub/unlock.zip
open cmd and navigate to C:\moto-fastboot\
Force fastboot on phone by holding down PWR and VOL UP while inserting battery.
Type these commands:
moto-fastboot oem unlock (it will show atrix ID re-enter with ID at end of line)
when finished, then enter these commands:
moto-fastboot flash boot boot.img
moto-fastboot flash system system.img
moto-fastboot -w
moto-fastboot reboot
When it reboots, you will be back to stock, fully restored!!
I then used Pete's Motorola Tools to root my atrix.
Info and DL here http://www.psouza4.com/Bionic/
yes it did work on my atrix make sure usb debugging is on and unknown sources checked.
I then installed CWM to my Atrix
DL here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1475444
unzip to moto-fastboot, put atrix in fastboot mode and open cmd, navigate to moto-fastboot folder and type this:
moto-fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Reboot and you are DONE!!!! All thats left is to find a ROM and you are good to go
No need to do all that.
Since you want to get CM7, Unlock the phone.
Ignore the instructions to flash system.img, that will bring you back to stock.
Enter fastboot, flash a recovery. (Above post last instruction)
Enter recovery mode, than flash CM7 from there.
(I assume you are familiar with what I am talking about, and don't require step by step instructions)

[Q] Failed fastboot oem unlock

So, I have an Atrix 4G (2.3.6) and decided to try rooting in order to install a proper adblock. I'm a bit new to Android so I did some careful research and I found some tutorials that showed to do a fastboot oem unlock.
But I guess the Atrix doesn't unlock from a straight fastboot oem unlock command? Because it now boots directly to the fastboot screen with a "(ap) fastboot flash mode (s) flash failure" error.
I can get it to boot normally by holding the volume and power buttons and selecting 'normal' but that is a pain and can only be done with a good charge on it.
I'm going to say I don't know what I'm doing here. First and foremost I'd like to restore a normal boot, though I wouldn't mind knowing what to do from here to properly root it.

what steps did you take? fastboot oem unlock only works when the bootloader isn't locked anymore. By default, manufacturers lock their bootloaders so also with motorola you need to unlock it first. There are some ways to do this, the sbf method and whatnot but it's not really idiotproof.
Is all you did the fastboot oem unlock? else you might want to relock it by "fastboot oem lock" and just root your phone if you don't want to go custom rom
Have you tried this: - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1182871

[Q] T-mobile HTC one Brick

I've had this phone for about a good 4 months now, was getting bored so i decide to unlock the bootloader, root, and install a new rom. Then i heard youwer able to activate the HTC logo button to wake and sleep your device with using a different kernel. tbaldens kernel v3.6. I have TWRP recovery installed with trickdroid as my rom. After i ran threw all the procedures to flash in Aroma installer. My phone won't turn on, when i connect it to my computer it shows up as a MTP device. When I do get it to power on its stuck at the "quietly brilliant" screen. cant get into recovery to restore from back up. PLEASE HELP! SOLDIER DEPLOYED!!!!!!!! dont have the means of sending it in. Any suggestion. Mac is my primary means of rooting. windows 8 drivers are kinda funky:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
If you have access to a Windows 7 PC, then download the RUU for your device. Next, relock your bootloader (fastboot oem lock) Next step, if you have bootloader access to your device, then you can go into fastboot (make sure it says fastboot USB). Open a command prompt, and type in fastboot oem rebootRUU. You're in RUU mode, where you can run the RUU and reset everything back to stock.

[Q] XT912 Wont flash with rsd lite

I need help with my razr. I ended up just going to safestrap and wipe my phone because i wanted a fresh start thinking that it would only do a factory reset. Well i thought wrong, my whole phone is wiped, no operating system, no anything. I rebooted it and now I am only able to access the fastboot menu. I went to flash it to stock with RSD Lite, everything was working but when it got after the system.img (12/15) it just stopped and said it failed. I thought i had the wrong .xml file so i downloaded another one but it did the same thing. This is what the screen of my phone says:
Code:
[FONT="System"]AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S)
0A.66
Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 0
Battery OK
OK to Program
Transfer Mode:
USB Connected[/FONT]
I thought maybe the "Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 0" had something to do with it but i don't know. I've tried the command "Fastboot oem get_unlock_data" and this shows up:
Code:
[FONT="System"]c:\Android\sdk\platform-tools>fastboot oem get_unlock_data
...
FAILED <remote: unsupported command>
finished. total time: 0.002s[/FONT]
If anyone could help with what .xml i need to flash a whole new system to my phone, if the phone needs to say "Device is UNLOCKED" for it to work, use a different program to flash with, or if i just have one hella expensive brick. It would be highly appreciated and you would be my new best friend if you can help.
What Fastboot file you are trying to flash?
And what rom was on the phone before the brick?
