This is still an alpha and a lot is not working, I would not make this sound like the official version is out. Just a suggestion.
Is this post necessary at all?
been running it for almost s day its not bad at all. its so different from gb. worth it
Most everything is working and yes this will become the official cm version once I finish fixing a few more build issues. Cm7 for the photon was unofficial as well due to bad timing.

Will be sweet to see the photon listed on cyanegenmod webpage as a supported device... It is quite possible doing so could cause a greater popularity for the phone..?

I don't have a whole lot of experience with CM. What does this mean that it will become an official cm version? Does that mean it'll be a device listed on the CM website?

I'm gonna try and use this leak (Which is unstable) to port the stable rom for the Sensation. Then I'll try to use that to port the AOSP ICS for the Evo 3D. I'm also working on a CM7 port based off of 7.1.0 for the Inc2. Fun stuff
Just grabbed a rezound and it looks like I have perfect timing. Pm me if and when you need testers.

Wow , that will be awesome if you can get this working !
To me it seems to be just the water mark, random reboots and phone working, otherwise it seems to run fine besides the market giving an error but thats an easy fix.
So I guess the question is how hard is it to remove atleast the random reboots and phone working?

I'm not even bothering with it. I'm just using the kernel and libs to port the Sensation ICS rom that works perfectly.

For those having trouble flashing back to the old kernel like I did see this post:

Edit: Thanks con247! Didn't see you there.
I attached the kernel I use for the bamf rom with the updated android verison info to allow downgrading back to a gb rom.

Fastboot can also be used to flash kernels.
or just do what you did and use the new updated android-verison.txt.

So , if you want to have miui you have to wait for cm9 release date .
am i wrong?
We already have a CM9 kang. Only things not working are UX acceleration and front facing camera.
And least but not less important, data is not working for the majority of CM9 users.I think its very important for a smartphone =p
I MISS miui also!

It's actually working great... Since day 1 we've had working data for CDMA users if you toggled to GSM Only & back to LTE on startup. As of last version we don't even have to do that anymore so... yeah.

BIG thanks to sixstringsg for building nightlies for us on his server as official CM nightlies cannot be enabled for our device yet as there is still some stuff broken.
These are technically unofficial, so please do not file bug reports to FreeXperia or CyanogenMod, and instead post issues in this thread.
You can download the ROM from here: http://androtransfer.com/?developer=nightlies&folder=zeus
The ROM is GSM, so if you are a CDMA user, flash this over the top. If you are CDMA and are flashing this for the first time, please post for more assistance.
Working:
Video decoder for playback
Camera back and front
GSM & 3G Data
WiFi
Bluetooth
GPS
USB Tethering
Touchpads (semi-working, our implementation)
Game pad
Sound
3D and 2D (adreno)
Recovery
FPS uncapped
Stereo sound
Audio over Bluetooth
Video recording
Not working:
Full touch pad support.
WiFi hotspot
Bug reports on this thread please.
Remember, sixstringsg is behind this, so he is the one to thank.
They should build every night, if they don't build for three or four nights in a row, shoot me a PM and I'll fix it. I should notice before then though.

Nightly means every night, or close to it. It is good because then you can update the ROM frequently.
And don't forget to thank sixstringsg's post!

Actual developing or not, you're still being a big help.
On another note, are these nightlies of FXP's CM9, or is it actually part of the main CM9 tree now?

I suppose I should pose my question this way, then: Will FXP's changelog apply to these nightlies, or will they just have the latest CM9 fixes?

Now that my questions are done, would you be so kind as to link that update.zip for porting r800i roms to r800x in the op? Pax has linked his thread to this one, and it may just be me, but I would think that having all parts in one place would be the most beneficial.

Remember, R800x users, if you're doing a fresh flash of this rom, you will need to remove those assert lines from the updater-script using notepad++ or similar program. I forgot about this and am now doing it myself.

CM9 is (I think) the most popular AOSP-based rom (meaning it's derived from stock Android, without any manufacturer modifications). It adds extra settings, toggles, a theme framework, etc. Because of its popularity its usually quite stable and things get fixed pretty fast.

I don't really get what you mean but if you're just asking whether a new build will be released every day, yes. If you're asking whether it will automatically update after you've flashed it, I don't think so. You'll have to download and flash new builds yourself.

Do any of us honestly believe Motorola will every release the ICS update for the Atrix 4G? Correct me if I am wrong, but they push back the due date to the end of the year if not beyond. This normally means they will not do it. Thank God for ROMs and these great developers here. I currently have the AOKP ICS ROM (Milestone 6) on my Atrix 4G and loving it.
I believe the photon got pushed back from Q3 to Q4 and it uses the same tegra 2 chipset as the atrix so that tells us something.

Still Q3, like it has been.
Sure, the Photon got pushed to Q4, but maybe it's because we're first in line. The Atrix was released first.

Yeah, I agree with that. CM10.2 is, as far as I'm concerned, definitely a daily driver and there's no point in doing CM11 until CM works out some of the initial system level bugs.

Same on my GT-N7000 (SG Note), but we cannot define it as a CM, only as an AOSP Rom.
EDIT: I never had a fc or a bootloop, all worked perfectly and (too) smoothly.
