[Q] App stuck 'installing' in Market

Hello,
Got the 'apps stuck on installing' problem with the Market on new 2.1 firmware. I've read in other posts that it's possible to fix this by clearing the Market cache and data. However, on the X10 it's only possible to clear the Market cache and this doesn't seem to fix it.
Anyone found another way to fix (because I stupidly uninstalled the 'stuck' apps from the Apps Management settings menu and now I can't reinstall them )?
Generally enjoying 2.1, though (Angry Birds! )
Thanks!
I had this happen last week with a number of apps (all stuck at "Installing") at once. There was no option to cancel, and rebooting didn't help. Eventually, I just re-flashed my firmware (and added JIT to boot).
Knock on wood... so far so good.
errase all data of google, restart. click on market put ur data , must be fix it. thats wut i did

I tried deleting the Google account from within 'Settings->Accounts & Sync' but the X10 told me that other apps were using this account and the only way to remove it was to factory reset the phone. How did you erase all your Google data?

I was really hoping not to have to do that - it's taken a while to get the X10 running something like I want it after the 2.1 update
Download the apk from somewhere else of the thing you installed thats stuck and install it. That restarted the one I accidentally uninstalled while updating it
In my case fixed with reflashing, nothing else was helpful

Have you rooted your X10? If so, make sure ou install and use Titanium Backup. If you keep your backups up-to-date, re-flashing is a minor inconvenience as you can restore (almost) everything to the way it was.
No, I've not rooted it. Generally I just use the phone and apps and don't try to do anything too techy with it. Is it still worth rooting (apart from to use Titanium Backup?)

[Q] CrashMonitor Stopped :(

Hiya guys,
Wanted to ask a question cos i'm totally stuck.
Everytime i reboot my phone i get an error message saying:
Code:
Sorry!
The application CrashMonitor
(process com.sonyericsson.crashmonitor) has stopped unexpectedly.
Please try again.
___________
[[u]Force close[/u]]
I have no idea why this has happened, in Titanium Backup Pro i have "CrashMonitor 1.0" and it says it is still there fine, but then i have "com.sonyericsson.android.crashsms" with a line through it, saying No backup yet and a "!" in a triangle too. I dont know if this is gonna be anything to do with my problem.
I dont know if this is a big deal or not, so i though i would throw it open to everyone on here, and see if i can get a way to fix it.

(53 views over night and no replies doesnt look good for me then, lol)
Im not 100% sure myself but when i have used titanium in the past and uninstalled something it appears in the list with a line through it. Try reinstalling the crashsms.apk and see if it is any different. Apks off phone.
If you have not uninstalled "com.sonyericsson.android.crashsms" then im not sure what could be causing it, maybe backup your apps/setting and then reflash the fw from here onto the phone again?

I have just reinstalled this and it has made no difference, couldn't see CrashMonitor on that list of things to try reinstalling that too
Gonna ask on that thread and see if there is anyone someone can upload the file for me to reinstal.
Thanx for ur help
I think it is a system app and can't be removed. Mine crashes a lot also.
Maybe the 2.3.3 update will stop it.
I deleted crashsms and don;t have crashmonitor at all.
You can remove crash monitor safetly??? Are you sure your play stuff runs fine afterwards?
Sent from my XPlay using XDA App.
Cool.
I wonder what it is used for.
I assume it is to report crashes to SE. Too bad it can't report its own crashes.

It probably crashes when it tries to report its own crashes.
You can always back it up with titanium backup before deleting it.
I froze CrashMonitor 1.0 in Titanium Backup, rebooted my phone, and there was no crash think on start up, no idea what it was doing but it seems to be sorted now its been frozen, i guess i'll leave it like that till i have any issues with NOT having it, lol.
Thanx for all the help guys!!
Can I safely remove it?

I froze it and everything is running fine still so i guess removing it would be fine. i'm not going to remove it tho, just to be on the safe side, not really removed anything, just frozen everything i didnt use or want.

I think we need a "safe to remove" thread or something
We got one, it's somewhere in the general board. Just use search...

[Q] Total reset - LG Optimos L7

Hi there everyone I have a few questions on Android because I want to do a "super cleaning" on my mobile.
I'm from Argentina and I have an LG Optimus L7 P705g , not sure how it's called elsewhere.
I have rooted my device about a month ago and downloaded Avast + installed Avast AntiTheft, only that when the installation finished I didn't said it was installed so idk what happened there.
I'm sorry for doing this, but I have plenty of questions so I'll put numbers :s
1) How can I be sure if the AntiTheft is installed or not?
2) When installing root apps and regular apps, how can you notice? I mean, can I install a root app and not be aware of it?
3) If i do a Hard reset the root apps stay on the phone? In that case which "Root uninstaller" would you recommend ?
4) Doing hard reset is bad for the device?
5) I rooted my phone with SuperSU by ChainFire, to start my mobile from 0 I have to go to the SuperSU app tap "unroot" and then do the hard reset?
All in all what I want to do is to have my device as new. Without any trace of all this time I've been using it.
YES I LOOKED UP FOR INFORMATION NOT ONLY HERE BUT IN OTHER SITES ALSO, AND NO, I DID NOT FIND AN ANSWER THAT DID SATISFY ME
Thank you very much! I'm sorry for making so many noob questions all together!

1) settings>applications>manage application
2) You'll install root apps on your own risk.So be aware of them.If superuser app prompts for permission when using that app then it is root app else normal app.simply you can deny superuser rights to that app by denying request by su app.in this case that app will act as normal app (and may be it will be force closed or malfunction)
3) Nope.Hard-reset will clear all apps (except those who came with ROM and those which are sit on /system.this apps can be uninstalled using titanium backup (which i prefer) or other same apps)
4) Hard-reset will only clear user data which would not damage your device...
5) Not necessary.it'll stay as it is as it is installed in /system as ROM app...
If you want your device as same as that came from LG,then you'll need to flash stock ROM (afaik kdz file).but be carefull while flashing kdz file.Read all instructions before flashing it...
thank you very much for your patiance !
about (3) I read on the AvastAntiTheft that, as it was a rooted app, It wouldn't be affected if the thief did a Hard reset to the phone, so that is not true?

[Q] Default keyboard gone, can't get past encryption

So I went a little app uninstalling crazy after rooting my phone while trying to get rid of the Verizon bloatware. One of the things I uninstalled was the default keyboard and now I'm having some trouble.
My work email requires the phone to be encrypted, but when I do that I can't get past boot encryption! I have no keyboard showing up anymore.
I've factory reset the phone a few times and don't have the list of things I uninstalled anymore, dumbass move I know.
Does anyone know the name of or have a link to the default keyboard that comes installed? Or know how to get a keyboard to show up on the boot encryption?

Installed and just added encryption and still no keyboard at boot :crying:
I'm thinking I might just return the phone today since I got it very recently.
Just an fyi, in the future use titanium backup, our something similar to, to freeze the apps not delete them. That way if you mess something up you can just unfreeze them. I suppose you're also on me7?
You could Odin back to stock and then re-root. I'd think that would fix the issue.
Try to Odin back to stock like wolfgrrl said and don't forget a nandroid backup,backup,backup..,lol
Don't Odin that's a waste of time. I did the same thing. Just download a ROM that is not themed and pull the SamsungIME.apk file then push to system apps via root explorer. Set permission then reboot. Super simple. I have an apk for it. Just pm me and I'll send you a drop box link.

Since 2 hours, I got the same problem in my S4 (KitKat). I tried installing stock keyboard zip (androidfilehost.com/?fid=23032113221600607), but it doesn't work.
Pls, help me. I have my phone unavailable.
