Thx! i will first se how much GB i am going to use on my Tablet! if i dont need more than the 34 gb included i will not get any SD cars but if i se i will need more i will get some!
Thx again!

For reference I can say that I have used a Sandisk Extreme 16 GB UHS-1 SDHC. Wikipedia states that SDXC cards can be read by SDHC readers, albeit some specialized features won't work.
... SDHC host devices will accept SDXC cards that follow Version 3.0, since the interface is identical, but the following issues may affect usability...

So you should have no problems, since the issues are mainly with some extended feature flags in the SDXC protocol, e.g. for speed control. SDXC cards are also formatted in exFat format, but I can report that my Prime was able to read my card when formatted to exFat. exFat also supports file sizes over 4 GB which FAT 32 does not, and this is nice espcially for those 2 hr mkvs

What about transfer rates ?

My question would be what transfer rates are supported. I've been eyeballing the 95mb/s cards

First 4GB microSDHC from Kingmax

From Mobile-review.com:
"Kingmax has announced a storage card microSDHC capacious of 4 GB. This is a record for this standard, says the company. Until now microSDHC cards carried 2 GB maximum.
The cards comply with SD 2.0 specifications. They feature 127X or 19.1 Mbps (write) and 150X or 22.5 Mbps (read) speeds. No doubt, the cards will be in demand for multimedia mobile phones and other portable electronics, should the price be adequate. Unfortunately, the company hasn’t provided the info on the release date."
But do our Tytns support SDHC anyway?
No the Hermes does not support SDHC.. too bad, my 2gb is almost full!

whats that stand for then?
Guess "HC" stands for "High Capacity"...

Has to be seen I think, don´t know of any standard (non-SDHC) 4GB microSD card, do you?
SDHC info from Sanddisk:
What is SDHC? SD High Capacity (SDHCTM) card is the new SD™ memory card based on the SDA2.00 specification, introduced by the SD Card Association. This new SDA 2.00 specification enables SD cards to reach higher capacities - 4GB-32GB*.Because SDHC works differently then standard SD cards, this new format is notbackwards compatible with legacy SD format host devices. More SDHC compatible devices are expected to be available in the second half of 2006. To ensure compatibility, look for the SDHC logo on cards and host devices (cameras, camcorders, etc.)Compatibility with SDHC 4GB: 4GB SDHC cards can only work with SDHC compatible host devices. To ensure compatibility, look for the SDHC logo on the packaging. Please check with your device manufacturer for their current/future supported SDHC devices. What is Class Speed Rating? The SD Association has created and defined 3 speedclasses to help you identify speed and performance capabilities/minimum requirements of SD/SDHC cards and the host products. The SD Speed Class Ratings specify a minimum sustained write speed for SDHC cards (Class 2: 2 MB/s; Class 4: 4 MB/s; Class 6: 6 MB/s*). You can look for the Speed Class Logo to identify the performance class of your memory cards and host devices. NOTE: SDHC, the SDHC logo and SD are trademarks.*1 megabyte (MB) = 1 million bytes; 1 gigabyte (GB) = 1 billion bytes.

Wow
There would definitly be some software upgrade required to use SDHC card for Hermes.

In the Registry I saw keys concerning sdhc. So I would believe Hermes can handle it. I think it's worth a try
Don't you have to format anything larger than 2GB in NTFS format.
I think this device can only read FAT16. Might need a ROM upgrade

No, SDHC Cards are formated in FAT32, so it isn't so hard.
I just formated my 1GB microSD Card with FAT32 and I was able to read it on the Hermes. So this should be no problem.
Just go to your local dealer and tell him, that you will buy it if it works with your PDA. Normally this is no problem. I tried severall MemoryCards this way in former times.
I think it's worth a try...
BrainWashed: what rom are you using?
Can you PM me the name of the driver?
Thanks!

If you have an SDHC card, you may try a solution from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293556
Please report the results!
Actually, I've looked through my registry, and found all the registry settins that are installed by this CAB already there. Also the driver file required (SDHC_SC2410.dll) is sitting in my \Windows directory.
So... SDHC should work on Hermes out of the box...

Mmmh I believe it will be Hardware limitations that will create problems with SDHC cards... not software. But I could be wrong

[Q] 64GB microsd card for Asus Transformer?

Hi,
Does anybody know if the transformer tablet can take a 64GB microSD card?
Since I ordered 16GB model, it would be nice to make up for lost space and add a 64GB microsd card in there.
first off, thats an SDXC card, NOT a MicroSD, or even an SDHC card.
The Transformer supports up to a 32GB MicroSD (which is the max, but also a rip off at $80+ where as you can get 16GB for $25.
and the keyboard supports SDHC cards to which i think go up to 64GB.
Personally, i'm buying a 16GB class 6 MicroSD and then a 32GB SDHC card for the keyboard for a total of 64GB of storage.

I've read reports that the keyboard dock will support full size SDXC cards but until they arrive in people's hands I'll take that with a pinch of salt.
Yes the official site says that the dock will accept SDXC cards, so in theory it should take up to 2tb cards (when they come out). As stated above, it remains to be seen though.
So what is the largest and fastest card you can put into the tablet itself (not the dock)? And can someone recommend one?

Largest would be 32GB and I would recommend this for its price, capacity and its class-10:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...17145&creative=399349&creativeASIN=B004H8FTCU
WOW! i actually though that not 2 months ago those were 120$+? and a class 10:O may start to think about it... (but still for this price i think you can have 3 16gb but still....)
thats cool that it'll take the XC cards as well did not know that.
but regardless, thats only the keyboard dock.
The tablet itself will only take up to a 32GB microsd. which currently is a waste of money IMO

And I take it the wintec is doing just fine in the transformer? If so, to be clear, is it the wintec 32gb class 10 micro sdhc that is selling on newegg for $77.49? Sorry for not posting a link, I do not have enough post history to do so yet.
TIA
Technically SDXC cards could work, all you need to do is format it to FAT32 and maybe some driver changes to the system, but i cannot verify that since no microsd cards exit yet
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SD_card#SDHC_and_SDXC_compatibility_issues
Electrically and physically SDFC and SDXC are the same, just higher capacity and ExFat is the default file system standard for the new cards
Why the name change and new standard?
Well you can thank Microsoft for that
FAT16/FAT32, which is standard for flash memory supports up to 2 TB
Windows operating systems allow you to format to a max of 32GB
The reason being dates back to Windows 2000
(although versions of Windows NT way before used NTFS, But Windows 2000 was more available to the home user)
FAT32 was common, and microsoft wanted people to use the NTFS file system, so they decided to limit the creation of partition to 32GB for FAT32
Well that has stuck with all future versions of Windows, dont know why
Also Microsoft created ExFat, as a replacement for FAT as a removable storage file system, supports new goodies, and its a Microsoft Patent pending file system
So the SD foundation created the SDXC format because since most people use windows and cannot format their SD cards larger then 32GB why not just create a new standard that supports ExFat by default so people can easily format it
(You can use other formats such as NTFS, EXT, and etc.)
**Note that FAT32 filesystem does suck because it cannot support files larger then 4GB
I probably left a few things out during my ranting

I know the OP is a bit old by now, but thanks for this. I just purchased it for $41 and some change to replace my 16GB card which my wife will inherit. I'm always flashing custom ROMs and kernels and such and like to keep some other files on there too like music and pics so that they survive full wipes. It isn't too hard to start to fill up 16GB (right now I have 3.3GB free). Now I will have plenty of room to play around with for awhile. I believe I paid about the same or more for the 16GB card at BB, but had to because I had a brick not realising that rooting required the card. Didn't want to pay $90 or so in store for the slow 32GB card they had when they were advertising a class10 32GB online for alot less.

thats the things, so far i've read that most are using 16GB and not 32GB read another thread on some other forum before that this guys had problems cause the 32GB was causing some instability. As for why i want to get such a big card cause i recently saw a 32GB class 10 on offer. LOL
32GB Micro SDHC 2.0 would be working great.
Higher class (higher than class 4) is needed only for sdext and swap partitions.

an sd card class does not raise compatibility issues it actually can boost up the performance at higher speeds like on class 10
I have a galaxy mini and it supports class 10 sd cards so don't worry
I have 64gb sdxc, class 10 (made by kingston) and works perfectly, finaly sd card where class means something... only downfall is a bit of delay when I plug phone as disk to pc... but its not that bad too

Is it formatted to FAT32? Does the phone recognize all the memory?
aye serious lol I thought I would be limited to class 10 by the way is there any other performance issues besides a bit of lag plugging it into a pc ?
and also are those microsd cards UHS-I or UHS-II ? and has anyone found a limit to the size the card can be up to aka when putting data on it over a certain limit the data becomes corrupted ?
capacity of card

What format are you guys using on your 64gb sdcards, as i just got my class10 64gb card and formated it to fat32, but my folders keep deleting themselves and it's knarcking me off as the mc4 update has just came out

Can the p780 use a 64gb micro sdxc ?

Hello, I need a definite answer if the p780 (im on s124 stock rom) can support a 64gb micro sdxc. Official specs say no but apparently some people tried it and it works.
Would really appreciate knowing before i waste money on a 64gb samsung evo or sandisk ultra
Bought SanDisk Ultra 64Gb, reformatted to FAT32 (it comes as exfat formatted), and had no problems.
Running ROW_227 on 2014 CN version.
Maybe the phone can also handle exfat, but I wasn't in the mood to copy 32Gb of data to the new card and then find out it doesn't work
FAT32 has it's disadvantages probably, but so far, card works well, total capacity shown is 59.45Gb on phone.
Yes, 64GB sdxc works. I have 64GB A-Data Premier UHS-I with file system fat32 and everything works fine. I am using ROM life v. 07

Perhaps the only difference between working or not, is the way you format it ? Both myself and the other poster have converted it to FAT32 before usage...
what about UHS-I? Does Lenovo P780 support UHS-I format? What about cards speed tests?
Confirmed
I bought a V-gen memory card 64 gigabytes class 10 turbo and it is in ex-fat format. It is working very well. Reading 60 gigabytes of free memory. I have the 8 gig device from 2013.
I just launched into my TWRP and learned that it can't read the sd card. Anyone have that trouble with fat32 format?
Okay. Got it working with TWRP. Just have to make sure it is set to primary instead of logical and it runs fine: Backup, restore, and file management.
