Any idea if they will make this for the TP, or would the Ipad II case work?

Got mine in already... just waiting for my Prime to get here on Monday
Should fit... Prime is roughly the same size as the iPad2.
My main question is will it fit with the dock attached... I still think it will. Will let you know for sure next week though.
*Edit*
This is the one I ordered.

You are way off base with the sizes chief.
Ipad 2
9.50 in (241 mm) (height)
7.31 in (186 mm) (width)
0.346 in (8.8 mm) (depth)
TFP
10.4 in (260 mm) (height)
7.12 in (181 mm) (width)
0.33 in (8.3 mm) (depth)
1" of difference may as well be a mile when it comes to accessories being compatible.
All the same though, best of luck.
They have one for an 11" laptop. That might be perfect for the tablet + dock. From videos I say and the above specs it is slightly longer, looked almost 3/4"-1" so I didn't think it would fit. I think I might email the company the TP specs and see what they recommend. SOLID PRODUCT THOUGHT.
This seems to be more suitable...

Extreme Sleeve 2 iPad2 dimensions are:
8.25 in x 10.15 in x 1 in
So, the Prime is 1/4 inch more... the material is more soft than hard, and has some give to it; neoprene on the interior... I think it will fit, but I'll know for sure next week.
Please let us know
i have the g-form extreme 2 and it does fit my prime very, very snug. You have to be careful zipping it. Kinda like zipping an overstuffed duffle bag. There is padded lining inside along the zipper line so the zipper doesn't make contact with the prime. Once I get the dock I'll probably get the extreme portfolio. I like its dimensions vs the 11"laptop sleeve option.

Can we see some pics?
I think this case might be to big for me since I'm already coming from a 7 inch tablet. But on the other hand, if I am going to get a case I might as well get a good one.
I don't plan on dropping a bowling ball 3 feet but I do expect the tablet to fall from three ft and I would prefer it to be safe and sound. I wonder how it absorbs the shock of a fall....

It's a case for an iPad, which has a different form factor as the gTab. So no it will not fit.
i just got the case from sears the "holiday promo g tablet case" 6 bucks and it works great!
well the size is different but , sometimes, the case got space in it.
its not a covering case, so I thought I may be able to push Gtab in it..
but since its by Incase.. I guess, they make the case as "Just Fit for Ipad.."

I researched this case already. The case only has a height of 10.1". It's about 5" too small.

I hate the smell, though. I left mine out outside to air out for three days, and it still has that rubbery factory smell. Yuk.
Eventually it'll go away.
Yeah it would of been nice if we could of used it for our tablet. But unfortunately it won't.
@ roebeet, I did get the case and happy that mine didnt have that intense chemical smell that many are reporting.
umm too bad. I hoped I can push Gtab in it..
oh well.
Sorry, it's a bit too small. I think you should give a look to the Kindle DX case, you really can't beat it
If you are looking for an inexpensive case that will give you good protection, I had bought this case for a netbook but discovered it works pretty well for the G-tab. It is memory foam padded. It has two clear vinyl straps that will hold the bottom of the G-tab in place and which allow you to still view the screen. It can actually function as a stand in landscape mode but it can't handle more than light taps this way unless the back is propped against something. I have attached a couple pictures.
Price is $7.21 shipped if you have amazon prime and $9.20 if you buy from third party amazon seller Senyx.

$4.21 for similarly sized cases of the same brand
The following two cases are cheaper ($4.21) and have the same dimensions (11 x 7.75 x 1 inner compartment and 11.2 x 8 x 1 inches outer shell) despite being marketed for smaller sizes netbooks, they are same brand (case crown) and provided by same seller (fulfilled by amazon as well).

sanvara: can you please confirm your amazon case dimensions ? Thank you in advance.
Good research. I didn't consider those since they seemed to be made for smaller netbooks. When I bought the case above a couple months ago it was on sale for $4.21 shipped too!
The outer dimensions on the case I have are 11-3/4" by 8-1/2" and inner 11" x 7-3/4". There is a fairly thick ring of padding around the edges which accounts for the difference between the outer and inner dimensions.
I personally like black and the slim design version over the double pouch for daily use but I may pick up the double pouch for when I want to carry the power cord somewhere.

I got mine the other day. It fits perfectly. The only thing to be careful of is remember the the "top" of the case is actually the "bottom." I already opened it once and forgot the the straps to hold it in are up by the handles. Luckily, I caught the tab before it fell out.
But I've already used the case to take the tablet on the road and it works and stands great. Watched a movie with absolutely no issue at all in this. I'm thinking about ordering the other one aasoror listed as well for the extra pouch for accessories as the tablet is taking flight this week.
Great find on these guys!
Thanks to both of you!

I looked at my local sears. They have the EXACT SAME case in the store, under the Case Logic brand for $15. But if you buy the G tab case online, it's currently under $5.00. Honestly, I think you're insane NOT to get this case for the price!
Agreed and its padded and the quality is good.

I just received this case. It doesn't fit. The inner dimensions are roughly: 9.5 x 7.25 inches. The G tab is roughly: 10.5 x 6.75 inches. So the case is about an inch too.
aasoror, where did you find the dimensions when you searched. They aren't listed in Amazon's page. Maybe they sent the wrong one?

Thanks more letting us know it doesn't fit. I almost ordered one. I wouldn't have thought it would fit since it's marketed for a 9" netbook.
The case I posted actually has a bit of room. When my case with the keyboard comes I'm going to see it it fits in there, I think it will.

Recieved my Amazon case today. Fits well and is a good deal for the $7
I am thinking about purchasing a basic neoprene sleeve to put my G-Tablet in. I don't need a normal case, as I have a custom carbon fiber weave on the back, and prefer holding it without a case. I just need something to protect it while it is in my book-bag. I was thinking about the following sleeve, but am worried about the size.
(apologise for the lack of proper link, I don't post very often)
amazon.com/ Neoprene-Netbook-Fujitsu-Samsung-Gateway/dp/B002TSCL2G/ref=sr_1_14?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1296573496&sr=1-14
It lists for 10 inch netbooks, and its listed dimension is 11x8.25, which theoretically should work for the tablet. What do you guys think? There are similar sleeves for 12 inch netbooks, but I don't want the tablet sliding around inside too much.
Has anyone found any decent cases or sleeves for this tablet yet?
It's dimensions are listed as 271x176x12.9mm, which makes it longer than the iPad, as well as longer and wider than the Xoom, so I imagine most cases for those devices will be too small (or it'll protrude through the opening.)
At the same time, lots of netbook cases are around, but they seem to extend by 1 or 2cm too far in each dimension. Closest appears to be the Belkin 10.2" cases on Amazon.
There's a comparison of sizes here:

Looks like it might work - size wise it seems the transformer will fit.
For the moment I am going to keep my transformer in the case I used for my Asus EEE PC Netbook, just hope it fits!!!
I also contacted tuff luv as I adore their cases and have one for my Kindle and love the fact I can prop it up and read it. They say there going to look into it and to contact them again in a couple of weeks, I really hope they do a case.
I got on of these as a temporary measure. .

If you email them with details they will advise which of their huge range will fit the Xformer. They are custom made.
I bought a cheap neoprene sleeve on ebay (item no 170625464579) for £3.30 delivered (although he has now hiked up his price to £4.95). It fits pretty much perfectly - although I did manage to accidentally wake the tablet up from standby putting it in the sleeve on one occasion.

It is duel aspect, so when the keyboard part of the TF arrives it will also be used in this case, the tablet part fits in the top part of the case and is held in place by two corner holders.

Been there, done that. Unfortunately - as you'll soon notice - when it's done up the zip sits right on top of the power button, making it incredibly easy to turn on accidentally. I'm taking mine back tonight.
My sample "Wrapper", as linked above, arrived this morning and it's very nice indeed! Perhaps a little small width ways but I've sent my feedback and I think they're going to re-work it a little. Once they've got the final design down-tap I'd recommend them without hesitation.

I guess i can see what you mean about the zip, but im traveling around with work next week and wanted something quick to stop it getting battered in my laptop bag with everything else that is in there.
It will do for the moment until either an official case comes out or a good alternative is found, I will hold onto the receipt and packaging that came with it, if it turns on the power constantly when im away next week i will take it back.
The TeckNet iPad Leather Case for Apple iPad is exactly the type of thing I want, only designed for the eeePad!!!

Love it! I don't have the keyboard yet but I tried my husbands netbook and it seems like it should fit.
Thought I would share that I love it.
These cases that claim to be shock proof or make things unbreakable always make me laugh. They may stop visible damage but the internals will still be subject to a few G's when dropped, and connections might be loosened. Some protection is always welcome of course for that 'just in case' scenario, so a case is always recommended for transporting it.
But sods law states that it will be dropped when it's not in a case and it will shatter into a hundred pieces anyway. At least I bet, now that I've written this, it'll happen to me.
Having said that however the case you mention looks quite nice.

Did you find it in-store at Staples or did you order online? I'd like to take a look at my local Staples if so.....Cheap enough that I might give it a try...
I bought an "Incase" 10.5" case at Target that I really like...good cushioning, but probably not "shock proof"....
Yes I found it in the Staples Store at mine it was on an end cap. Very thick why thicker than a few that my husband has tried. I am not going to be dropping it down the stairs hopefully but for little drops I am sure it will help.

You know I think I am wrong. The sign had said they only had 13inch and 15inch but now I looked and it says IPAD case so I was going to measure and I can't find a darn ruler or anything but I guess it would either have to be the Ipad case or the 10 inch because it just fits...snuggly but my husbands 10inch Asus Netbook fits int there also. So when he gets home and I can measure I will. I think though I might go get the 13inch this way I can fit the cord on the side also.
This case would be great:

This one works well with the Prime w/ a case on it (11 inch): <-- what I currently have

To each his own, I find the g-form adds too much bulk and the 11" leaves too much room in the sleeve.
But it looks like a good product.
do you think that the Zeroshock III for iPad might fit better? I saw someone's ipad review it looks like it still has some room, but its actually slimer profile with 1", but the for netbook one has 2" thickness which seems be be more than necessary for the prime + dock?

I think the ipad and the netbook has the same thickness which is advertised to be 1.5" but actually, when closed, the sleeve comes out to be about 1.25" thick (see photo). The inner dimension of the ipad sleeve is spec'ed as 9.5" by 7.5" and the 8.9 netbook sleeve is spec'ed as 10.5" by 7.5". I have the 8.9 netbook sleeve; (take a look at the photo) there is only about a quarter inch or room left on each side.
