Detail on this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399

The root is working now
Thank You very Much.
When reboot the device it comes back with Yellow triangle
I have followed the below instruction but getting confused on Step 4
Please could you kindly guide me
Getting rid of that pesky warning triangle during boot
It is definitely possible to remove that pesky warning triangle during boot when running a custom kernel, though you should be well aware that this method does NOT reset the custom kernel flash counter. The steps are not complicated, but they aren't easy either, so read well.
(1) Make sure you have CF-Root flashed (see the first post). You must have the "CWM Manager" app available.
(2) Make sure you have the same version of CF-Root extracted until you have the zImage file. (ZIP --> extract --> TAR --> extract --> zImage).
(3) Push the zImage file to /sdcard . It must still be called zImage !
(4) Find an original Samsung signed stock kernel (preferably from the same stock firmware you have, but it's not terribly important)
(5) Reboot into download mode (adb reboot download, or boot the device with home and volume-down pressed)
(6) Fire up ODIN, and flash the Samsung kernel
(7) Boot the device with the stock kernel. CWM Manager will still be available.
(8) Start CWM Manager, select Flash Kernel, and select the zImage from CF-Root you previously put on your SD-card. The kernel will flash and the device will reboot.
(9) You will now notice you no longer have the warning triangle during boot, but you are actually running CF-Root with all it's goodies!
(10) In the future, if you only use the Flash Kernel option inside CWM Manager instead of ODIN, the triangle will not return, neither will your flash counter increase. But keep in mind, that CWM Manager can only handle a direct "zImage" if you are NOT running a kernel with full busybox support (this is currently needed for flashing kernels out of .TAR and .ZIP files)

I got it all working
I would like to say a big THANK YOU FOR everyone. and special thank you Nyssa1104
Thank You

[Q] (Q) SGS2 what unsecured kernel do i need for t-mobile branded one?

Hello all,
I have a samsung galaxy s2 with this kernel:
kernel: i9100BOKF3-CK255512
baseband: i9100BOKF1
buildnumber: GINGERBREAD.BOKF3
What unsecured kernel do i need to make it root. And that i just can go back to the original kernel and rom.
I have found the stock kernel and rom here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113928
T-Mobile nl:
BOKF3: http://www.multiupload.com/OZ86729BU5
Firmware info: PDA:BOKF3|PHONE:BOKF1|CSC:TNLKF1
BOKF3 Stock Kernel: http://www.multiupload.com/V8JVBGVZ3N
Password: [email protected]
i have found this on a other thread:
Creating Optus Backup:
1. Go to Download Mode and Install CF-Root KE2 Root using Odin
This will install Clockwork Recovery for you.
2. Phone will reboot with root already (no need for SOC)
3. Run CWM Manager (from app tray)
4. Choose Backup
You will then have a nandroid backup located in the internal SD (\clockworkmod\). However, the backup will contain CWM and Root. But that's okay. Read on to find more about restoring to a clean Optus ROM.
To Restore to Clean Optus ROM:
1. Go to Download Mode and Install a stock unbranded ROM (KE7 or KE2) using Odin
2. Go to Download Mode and Install CF-Root KE7 or KE2
3. Run CWM Manager and restore Optus backup (phone will reboot)
4. Install Root Explorer (download from Market or keep a copy handy in internal SD)
5. Remove CWM Manager from \system\app
6. Go to Download Mode and install Odia KE2 Insecure
7. Run Superoneclick to ROOT (you can usually skip this step and go to step 8)
8. Run Superoneclick to Unroot (if step 8 fails, do step 7 first)
9. Install stock KE2 Kernel from XDA
You will have an unrooted Optus ROM but still contains your data.
10. Do a Factory Reset from OS or from Recovery (Power + Vol UP + Home)
You will have a clean Optus ROM but you also need to format your internal SD as well.
Also, in addition to that, you may need to use that thing-a-ma-JIG from eBay to reset the download counter. I personally haven't tried resetting it as it hasnt arrived yet.
I was going to upload a relatively clean nandroid copy of Optus ROM but... while I was factory resetting after going back to KE7 stock, I accidentally formatted the internal SD... <damn!>
So, if anyone is willing to share their nandroid backup of Optus ROM, please let us know so we can possibly upload it somewhere. This is also useful to extract Optus My Account app because its 1.2 (compared to the one in Galaxy S which was 1.0).
Please let me know if the above trick doesn't completely remove root.
so iff i am right you only need the last three numbers like kf3
I have found a Chainfire kernel with the same last three numbers see below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=640677&d=1309348522
This is the thread where the kernel came from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
I hope that someone can help me with the right kernel.
yes you are right in you only need a chainfire kf3 kernel to root, it does not effect any other thing in the tmobile rom.
Only reason you need the stock kernal is to remove the yellow triangle.

Yes thats the right cf-root kernel and stock kernel, you will still have root but lose CWM and CWM manager app.
this should be your stock firmware, taken from the thread you linked, though you might want to check the "baseband" on your phone to see if you have the PHONE:BOKD1 or PHONE:BOKF1, and chose the right one from the thread
What is CWM ? and CWM manager app is the same as rom manager right?
i have rooted my htc desire HD, so i know all the costum roms how to flash it. but the rooting process is different. iff i understand it right rom manager dont work with chanefire kernels right?

[Q] Need desperate help!

Hey guys, new member here, got a Galaxy S 2 on Three UK
I'm only 15, but I've hacked iPhones, iPods, rooted my Galaxy S, and now rooted my Galaxy S 2.
But I've run into a couple of problems on the way.
My information is:
Baseband Version: I9100NEKD5
Kernal Version: [email protected] #2
Build Number: GINGERBREAD.XWKE1
My kernel version is KI8 because I flashed it to it via odin...
But my problems are:
1) My ROM Manager doesn't work, will flash the software, flashed it twice, when I reboot it into recovery, it goes into Samsung standard recovery and says "E:signature verification failed", people have said look at advanced settings but I can't find any advanced settings even though I have premium ROM Manager?
2) My mate with an SGS2 told me about an update, so I tried to update, it downloads successfully, but when I go to actually install it, it says it fails and I need to use Kies or go to a samsung tech centre, but when I plug it into Kies, it says no update available or something...
So, I'd appreciate as much help as possible
Thank you all
Oli
1. Try installing the update manually from booting into recovery mode manually.
2. Once your mobile is rooted , you wont see any update from kies. But still you can manually download it and flash it straight away.
Does your kernal have cwm recovery? Rom manager on its own will not give you cwm. So maybe flash cf root.
Sent from my GT-I9100
Edit: don't use Rom manager.
Take a breath and go to here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
Read the 1st few posts on how to do things.
Download any version of firmware you want and flash with Odin.
Then root via cfroot or any one of the custom kernels via Odin.
You should be back in businesses at this point.
Let us know if you need any more help but I think you will be fine.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
I'm rooted fine, I have been for months, its just why won't it let me update even when I'm unrooted. Snd why doesn't cwm work either? Ah I have no idea about these things
If you go into normal recovery you don't have cwm installed. Just read the thread that was linked and you will be fine. And don't use rommanager on s2. With cfroot kernel a cwm app will be installed. Use this one instead.

DO NOT USE ROM MANAGER .
You require a rooted phone with CWM 4 and above not 3e.
how to
Root + CWM .

KIES updates if their is an update for your phones codes not because your mate tells you .
Either wait or use stock rom .
Stock Roms .and csc

ROUTE decide what update you want flash via Odin as per stock rom post . Then choose root and CWM to match the kernel .

Please Help

Firstly I have searched but have come up with no answers.
I rooted my galaxy s2 with CF root, and of course got the yellow triangle.
So I downloaded the stock Kernel from Here
I downloaded the XWKI4 English version.
So when I unzipped it it went to a .tar.md5.
I flash this through Odin and when the phone reboots the triangle is gone but I also unrooted the phone, lost Super User & CWM.
Any help would be great? Really bugging me.
Also what is the file I should copy from the Galaxy to my computer to be safe?
Thank you.
Kernel_I9100XWKI4.exe extracts as Kernel_I9100XWKI4.tar, nothing to do with .tar.md5. I therefore suspect you've flashed a ROM, (maybe GT-I9100_XEU_I9100XWKI4_I9100XEUKD1_I9100XXKI1), rather than just a kernel.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
Just read and follow the instructions for removing the yellow triangle as posted .All of the instructions dont just stop at halfway .
jje
Thank you, I was following the instructions but I was downloading the wrong file.
Problem solved thank you.
EDIT**
Ive been reading and it seems I install a new Kernel as a ZIP file in CWM
Is this correct?
Yes, you can always install a new kernel.zip via cwm and the yellow triangle will not come back.
Greetings Psy

Help with rooting my Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-19300

Hi all,
I use to own a htc sensation and now well purchased my new shiny S3. Read a couple of threads and do not want to risk bricking this as it only arrived this morning.
So the spec of my model is the following :
Model : GT19300
Android : 4.1.1
Base:19300xxdlid
kernel 3.0.31
build jroo3c
Just to confirm, some tut's said install kies on pc before rooting and connect the device at least once before running the root, others state please remove all samsung software from the pc. Which is correct ?
I also have seen this message : IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE THIS TOOLKIT TO ROOT OR FLASH CUSTOM RECOVERY ON A SNAPDRAGON MODEL SGS3 AS THE INCLUDED IMAGES WILL NOT WORK ON IT
How can i tell which mine is ?
So would you people recommend the toolkit way or the other way, as i have been looking at the following thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703488
I'm not a complete newb as i had the sensation for 2 years and had that rooted so just some guidance please as this is a new device cheers

I personally used Chainfire's Odin method, which worked flawlessly. No need for Kies, just download Odin and use the .tar file he provides.
If your model number is GT-i9300, you will have the Exynos version of the phone, so you can ignore the warning about Snapdragon processors; that only applies to the LTE US version.
Read the following thread - it tells you everything you need to know.

have a slight problem, I noticed i had the stock cwm and wanted the touch version. I downloaded the recovery and renamed it recovery.img and then went and installed odin mobile pro after selecting recovery and internal or external it will not find the file recovery.img ? I then thought i would try to download the .tar.md5 file for CWM TOUCH RECOVERY 6.0.1.2, however upon opening odin on my pc and then trying to boot my device into download mode, it just shows the Samsung logo and refreshes. I have managed to boot the device back on since then.
Update I have tried and read about 20 odd posts and everywhere tell me to get the device into download mode, the device wouldn't,However after several attempts I managed to get odin to pick the img file and flash. Upon booting back up i am now stuck with a Samsung boot logo and feel its bricked? Please Help!!!
I can not even return the device under warranty as i was unable to run triangle away ;(

Boot into recovery (Turn phone off. Then hold home/power/volume up) & do a wipe/factory reset. Or if you have a recent backup (or any backup) restore that from recovery. I've done this a couple of times over the past few mths when my phone has spontaneously bootlooped.

All I can do is download a rom which is in zip format, but i know odin does not support .zip but it supports .tar, so how can i download rom in .tar, also does it matter if I flashed the rom which is not meant for my region?(I mean I dont know my phone's PDA and I am not able to decide which firmware to download since every firmware has its own specific PDA)... Yes, I'll be going back again to custom rom after I make it work...haha
AFAIK a rom for another country wont break your phone, but be careful with 4.0.4 roms because of the brickbug

Parameter is incorrect error can be caused by either of two reasons
1 . something is wrong with the file you downloaded try re downloading
2.Kies is interfering with Odin, terminate Kies from the background by using the task manager.

Just hit the damn help button if I helped you.
