Hey all,
I am planning to do a lot of mountainbiking after this winter. Therefore, I want to have some sort of companion app which can run on my Galaxy S II while it's in a mount on my handlebar.
The last few days I've been searching for such app which meets these requirements:
Overview with map and speed/distance related information
Current speed, avg. speed, trip distance, total distance...
So, essentially, I want a single-screen, hands free, reference app, which displays my current position on a Google Map / Satellite overview (preferably the latter) and an overlay or a dedicated part of the screen with information mentioned in the second point here above...
For your reference I created a quick mash-up to make it more clear what I am looking for:

does anybody know about some android application to draw a natal chart (radix). I have done some searching over net and I cannot find any application like this. I just need to get astrological wheel from date, time and place of birth.

Assuming you mean the free version, you can repost it here after changing anything I think. There is no set amount you have to change before doing so, but most people won't want a very slightly changed version. There is also no amount of changes you can make that will make it OK for you to release it as your own app, you will ALWAYS have to make it very clear that it is "a modification of n7player".
If you mean the paid version, you cannot directly redistribute your modified version. You can possibly distribute the changed files from within the APK, but you cannot distribute the full APK.
Also, I don't think modified apps are allowed on the Play Store, you can only really post them places like here on XDA.
Ok. Then can you point me in the right direction for creating a player I know Java, just not the android development process

Check the Android Developers website for tutorials and information about Android Development. It'll have all the information you need.
I believe the SDK Samples also includes a simple sample of MediaPlayers.
Get started on learning Android Development. You won't really get anywhere with Android if you only know Java.
Also, you should do this to create your own special and unique media player and not try to reverse engineer another developer's app to release it as your own. Give yourself some confidence and come up with a better idea.
Does anyone know of someone to sign up for Free Online App Development classes? I want to learn how to develop/code/design apps (nothing big or spectacular) to expand my knowledge. I'm more of a "hands on" & "visual" learning; which I'm sure many people are. I'm just having trouble finding the right place to start from. I've browsed through the Google provided training, but still having trouble getting started. The training pages Google provides doesn't go into much, if any, detail about how to start with the IDE (I downloaded the new Android Studio). Google pretty much throws some sample code at you; without really explain how to start your "own" project.
So if you could post some links to videos, online classes (free [preferably] or really really cheap) I would greatly appreciate it.

I had an idea for an app and since I have no programming skills or experience I wanted to see if anyone could recommend a developer or resource they have used to hire a developer.
The idea behind the app is to provide users of said app with the ability to communicate information about their motorcycles. For example,
in talking about clarifying what actions the program is intended to perform
• Search for a motorcycle by color, model, make, location, year, etc.
• Should be able to filter by location
• Should be able to receive and send messages
• User A should be able to upload photos for users B,C,D

Hello guys, this is my first post here in the forum and i'm looking for a very specific answer, hope you can help me.
So I had this idea for an app that could really optimize the way people work here @ my workplace, but the thing is: i know nothing about programming and development
The question is: how hard would it be/how long would it take for a complete newbie to develop this app? (description below).
It consists basically in a scheduler & task assignment app. It must be able to:
Register two kinds off app users: workers/schedulers (WS) and schedulers only (SO).
Create WS subgroups (something like tags or flags so tasks can be assigned to a specific subgroup of WS').
Allow WS to create their own daily schedule and share it with all schedulers.
Allow SO to have access to all WS' schedules and fill them remotely.
Allow SO to auto-assign tasks to the nearest availabe WS of an specific subgroup.
Allow both WS and SO to see wich tasks were assigned by each one.
This is the main idea, of course there are some minor changes and details that I need to add, but this is enough to get the main idea.
