Any good online source?
I see a few Ebay sellers but they are in China and by the looks of the pictures, they look like fake Samsung batteries
Sorry I cant post links till i get 8 posts,
anyway go to batteryupgrade webpage (google it) it says "Upgrade your battery! - Store information" next to it.
and search for "Samsung YP-G1 battery (1200 mAh)"
I have not bought one yet, but i plan on it in the next few months.

Well, someone over at anythingbutipod said that this battery would work, but I find it to good to be true that they could fit twice the mah in the same size battery. That would be awesome if they did, though.

I did a quick google search and it had some good reviews,
however e_cell's ebay profile has 157 negative votes in the last month alone.
mostly due to shipping times (because all the stuff is shipped to china)
I'll look for a better way to get one, and hopefully my SGP will not explode

Forget That!
I'm buying one!

Wish me luck!
OK, tell us how it works out!
Yes, even though I have the 5.0 I am still very interested in what happens. Let us know everything, thanks
I will try to make a youtube video when it arrives;
I just hope it dose not mess up my SGP;
anyway even if it's not fully 2430mAh, it would still be nice to have a spare battery
...hmm maybe if i wasn't so reckless with my devices, they would last longer.... nah!
Nah! Come on, isn't that the beauty of having a user replaceable battery? Use your battery how ever you want, then replace as necessary! I got a brother who's one year old itouch battery doesn't last for over an hour of gaming anymore, nothing he can do without spending a fortune!

Just got my battery in the mail, using that Exact link and....
....It WORKS!
The temp is about the same as the OEM battery,
Although I have not tested the running time (just got home)
running times should be up by noon tomorrow
Are the results in yet?
Just finished running a battery benchmark
(Runs the device at 100% battery, with full brightness and other stuff.
and... it's about the same as the stock battery
I have not had time to test video playback and music with the screen off yet though.
oh well At least now I have an extra battery, and it's li-po to
app used for testing:
https://market.android.com/details?...251bGwsMSwxLDEwMiwiY29tLmFudHV0dS50ZXN0ZXIiXQ..
in my opinion, it's still worth the buy.
Note: I stated each test right after charging the battery until it hit 100% the meter the dropped to 97, on the stock battery and 99 on the hicap, showing that the battery meter is not all that accurate, I will try to do some better tests later.
I have attached the scores:
Hmm, bummer. I thought it was to good to be true. Oh well, still a good price for a spare.
hmm, I ran both batteries on full brightness with netflix and the HiCap lasted ~3 hours before low battery warning, and the stock only lasted 2hrs(and 15mins)
So it's no where near twice the capacity as advertised, but it looks to last long than the stock,
benchmark was wrong!
more tests next week
You could try "my battery drain analyser" to help test, looks like a useful tool!
So, after having the battery for a while, what is your verdict? Does it actually last longer, or is it not worth it?

Woah, browsing your YouTube channel, I see you have the foreign legion famas airsoft gun, I recently bought one of those as well, is that coincidence or what!

My initial test showed it to be about the same as the stock battery,
I use it as my primary now, and Have not had any issues with it.
I will do some more tests on Wednesday, Video playback/wifi/ using CPU at 100% for long periods of time. and I'll report the Results, I have a battery graphing app, so that may help
But as of know it dose not seem to have almost twice the capacity of the stock battery, like it's advertised as.

I ran another benchmark, scores attached; I think the new one won because It was syncing rss feeds, but idk... any way I'll do some real testing as soon as I can, and I'll post the results, I can't promise a date, but I hope to have it up within two weeks.

Well I'm in the market for a new regular sized battery. Since the andida ones are gone now these seem to be the largest non extended batteries I could find. 2 1400mah batteries for 10 bucks. I know that the seidio is good but I'm cheap. I'm just wondering if anyone has tried this battery out?
I might just bite and if I do I'll give a quick review.
i just bought those a couple days ago arrived today they seem to be just like the original but idk i havent calibrated yet so ill see
How bout a link for those batteries, i'll try em out.
If its cheap...its fake. This is a fact amongst cellphone batteries.
I've purchased the Seidio one and it was great. I got a full days use
out of it even on my 10 hour shift at work on 3G all day.
Now if I started playing video games on it...then it would still of course
drain fairly quickly. But for average use its fantastic.
Well worth the $40.

Whoops wrong link.

Thanks.
I too am unsure about those. But will most likely get them when I get paid.....in a month.
But if you buy them, please do a review, with measurements of the battery also, as its not hard to put a sticker on a normal battery.
My preliminary non scientific tests seems to show that the new battery is a bit better and lasts a good 3-4 hours more than the stock after a full discharge and recharge. I can do a real test and measure the run time with playing a video on a loop or something.
I'm about to buy the exact same batteries only from Amazon.com, any feedback on whether they're any better than the stock battery and can actually hold a charge?
Has anyone tried this for the atrix? It seems like to good of a deal to pass up for the price. However I want to be able to see how much power I actually have left and have seen mixed reviews on other sites.
All I have to say is.. that thing is HUGE!!!

I've had one about 2 days now. Read reports saying to go full discharge/ full charge about 4-5 cycles to realize full potential. I've ran it down once fully and down to about 30% a few times but with my work schedule/activities I dont like to let it get too low for fear of having to be leashed to a wall plug or charger for awhile. BUT i can say that the life seems to be getting better and as for the actual size of it.. seems big at first and in pix but i'm fully used to it now and I'm comfortable with it. Havent checked the actual stats on how long since unplugged in comparison to the stock, but I'd say for the price it was worth it..
At $30 I'm thinking about it. How much thicker did this make your phone rickriego?
I am guessing that this doesn't work well if you use the fingerprint reader?
Might be able to get used to the added dimensions, but how about weight? Was that pretty noticeable?

it fake real mA 2200 - 2400
discharge 1-1.5 days

I have had a 3200 mAh battery from Seidio for about 3 months. I have all my radios blazing throughout the day. I listen to music over the cell network while in my car for a 1 hour commute. I leave my GPS on all the time. I use Bluetooth in my car. In short I have all the features of my Atrix that I paid for. I get 16 hours on a charge on a hard day. I plug it into the charger at bed-time.
The battery shown above may well be phoney. My Seidio is the real deal. I have no financial interest in Seido.
I am on stock OTA GB from AT&T. My only complaint is that by early afternoon my Atrix begins to complain (falsely) that my battery is depleted. I've haven't researched the problem fully yet, but there is a battery daemon (battd) that I think I can kill and end that silliness.
I have tried all manner of battery calibration juju to no good end, I have posted about it in other threads with lots of advice and no resolution. Let's not hijack the OP's thread.

Seems same brand as this one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-HIGH...AU_MobilePhoneAccessories&hash=item519a60619e ( I have an optimus) which is $2.95 .., someone is making a lot of money if it's selling for $30
BTW I have the above battery and it works fine, if I had to guess I'd say 1200mAH, seems worse than stock 1500 slightly. after 20 charge cycles I think it's starting to go bad, not sure yet, it died at 40% the other day.
I just recieved this one and WOW
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/3-7v-3...-pack-with-back-cover-for-moto-ma860-4g-65800
Streamed a 2h 20m movie over wifi without taxing it at all. Plus when it fell to 1 percent it stayed on for about an hour. I'm on cyanogenmod right now so I know the larger size battery needs to be recalibrated. I am also assuming that when you switch from the lower MAH to the higher one the battery information stored on your phone would then be incorrect. Basically everytime you switch batteries you should clear your battery memory in your recovery or download a proper recalibrating app to do so. Hope this helps everybody!

I'm using a 3500MHh but I keep getting a weird behaviour. I get to 1% in about 30 minutes of gaming and than it get stuck there but the phone is still working. When plugged get to 100% in 20mins... I've already wiped the battery stats
I have seen reviews and all say the life is mediocre. So far after about 5 days of testing its better than my Nexus S 4G. Yesterday pulled in 16 hours and still had 40%. That was with minimal games, a couple 3d shots and videos, some music and bout 300 texts, display on 3/4 bright. Internet of course too.
Day before was about the same results, much more 3d though so i finished at 14 hours with 20 %.
So far I am liking the battery. Waiting to root, titanium backup, restore all saved games to fully test the battery life. Broken arm makes it hard to game :[
Thanks for the lowdown.
Was 4G on the whole time?
Hmm yeah, battery life was my main concern. However i realized that stock comes with a 1730mah battery, and siedo sells a 1900mah battery right off the bat that fits snug without modifications.

I think part of what is getting missed in the reviews, seeing as most are "first impression" reviews meaning they haven't used the phone under normal use is. during these reviews the phones are taking a beating as far as how they are used. I mean I have zero need to tether for a day at work, or have 4 G on at all times. OR game for 2 hours straight a day, or watch a full 3D movie every day, or play with it just to play with it. Now will we all be doing this day 1-7? of course we will it's a new toy. (I took Friday off for crying out loud, because I knew I would be worthless.) But I think once the novelty wears off and we have our phones set up the way we want them, I actually think we will all be happy with out batteries. ie. getting 12-14 hours with out a charge. ( If I get that I'll be happy I would say I'm an average user.) I mean I've also come to realize asking a pocket computer to do more is asking ALOT so I have chargers everywhere. But I'm just saying. when you need it to go that far I think it will. no problem.
Thanks for posting! Battery life is my greatest concern. I was psyched for this phone then I saw a bunch of crappy reviews then I wasn't psyched and now I'm getting there again. The reviews are all over the place even with the battery.
Please keep us updated.

There is a couple reviews posting similar results as the op. (Sorry i don't remember which ones)
Original evo owner as well. Rooted and overclock to 1.15ghz i was doing 11 to 12 hours consistantly. I had an extra battery so i always threw that in there when it died so wear was always from 100%-0% daily so i never saw it lose charge over the year.
Right know i unplugged at 11am, bout 5:30 pm. Was at the hospital so low signal searching always and i watched xmen 3. After that i was bored playing with 3d and a lot of google. Sitting at 48%. I Find that very respectable.
No 4g where i live. Only use wifi or 3g. That 1900mah will be perfect to have a extra one. Hate charging my phone. Never owned a car charger lol
As of now i have bout 35 apps and NEVER use a task killer. Major help has ti be for the excess ram and efficient cpu. Less load means less power draw. My evo was always 70-100%

Took the plunge and bought the 1900 slim battery for the vigor . First impressions are it is definitely lasting longer than the stock slim battery. I will take a couple days to test and make sure it is not a placebo effect.
Are you refering to this battery?

Yep it looks slim, fits inside and doesnt require extra backdoor cover.
Concerning the performace please post your test results, i am pretty curious, but at the same time very confident, Mugen is a good brand.

I bought the mugen extended battery for the thunderbolt. It definitely did last longer then the OEM one but, when the rezound came out I bought a extra battery and that one lasted MUCH longer on the thunderbolt. That mugen battery didn't work right on the rezound so I didn't need it when I sold the rezound. I bought an oem extended battery for my rezound and I love it.

Im interested in seeing the results, I have been thinking of getting a larger battery, but did not want the larger cover and the bulk that comes with it
Still waiting to hear real results, plus how the temperature is.
Also looking forward to the results.
I am too. I would get one if it was actually better than stock.
I believe in the past the problem with third party batteries was the not the initial performance but the extremely short life span of the battery. Over time batteries will gradually loose their ability to hold a charge. So buyer beware, these batteries may be great for the first month or two then significantly drop off.
Good luck
anyone have this battery for a decent amount of time? I am all for just a little more battery, without the bulk of the extended.
How does it work!?!?
My Results!
Here are my results from today. I've had the battery since Monday, so I gave it few days before doing this. At the rate I used it today (Texts, Calls, 4G Use), it would have been dead by the 5 hour mark. Also, 111 is the lowest my phone has ever been when using Wireless Tether. I still text a lot while it's doing that too, and it's always at 120 or slightly above, so that seems to be an improvement as well.
initial impressions
Street putting it through is paces it sends like I am getting about 2 to 3 hours extra life compared to the 1620 battery...I have had it since Monday.
Just got mine last night, initial impression is that it lasts a few hours longer. I was at about 40% at 5 hours 30 mins, at which time I was usually at around 25-20%

Mine said the same thing, but running it through some tests, it definitely last longer than the stock battery.
I am getting about 7-8 hours of normal use out of this battery, which is a few hours longer than the stock. One thing to note, however, and I'm not sure why, but last night I let it get down to the 15% warning and at 10% it just died and wouldn't turn back on. Charged up and we're fine now, so I'm not sure what happened.

There are some pretty decent receptions of the brand, and then a couple not so decent, but in general it looks more positive than negative and so far no catastrophic failures to note.

https://www.amazon.com/Best4Power-Extended-Straight-Tracfone-SCH-S738C/product-reviews/B00Q2PL222
It may tickle you a bit wrong to know Best4Power no longer sells anything on Amazon. But I hope someone steps up to be our Guinea pig - there will be much thanks for the brave soul first to take the plunge and post their findings here.
I've got one similar to this, I ordered from Amazon, well actually a site called Amazon review trader where I got a promotion code for the battery. It's a 3500mAh battery by the description, yet the same physical size as the original. What I can say about it is any time you reboot the phone and the battery is at 100% you are greeted with an invalid battery warning and the phone powers down. The only way to get it to remain on its trying to reboot it a few times and once it uses a couple percentages of the battery it's fine. I contacted the seller and they sent me a new one but it also does the same so not sure.
The battery appears identical in size, feel and shape to the original one, just wrapped differently. The first day of use I ended with over 4hrs screen time but I was in an area with little to no signal, the next day I was home most the day and got 6 and a half hours screen time. I literally ran the phone till it was at 2% then powered down and replaced the battery. I use the phone for browsing, emails, text and phone calls, location is generally set to wireless network etc.
The question on if I would buy another..I don't think so, reason being is the invalid battery warning message, batteries are just not something to play with, the actual battery tho outside of the rebooting issue stated does work fine and seems to last a bit longer when compared to the stock one.
