Hi, I´m thinking to buy a Galaxy Tab, and where I live is very difficult to get the HDMI adapter from Samsung. I´ve seen the "Apple Digital AV Adapter" for iPad (30 pin connector with HDMI), and the Galaxy Tab has 30-pin conector too, the Apple adapter will work to conect to my TV via HDMI? Thanks
No, the two interfaces may look the same but they are not.
Response
Oh! Ok thanks

Does anyone know if the Samsung Galaxy S II will use a 3.5mm to RCA TV out cable like you could on the original Galaxy S?

ok probably doesn't then, thanks
The SGS2 is one of the first devices to implement the MHL standard. Basically, it repurposes the microUSB connector to provide digital HD video/audio output. This output is translated to HDMI through an external adapter, allowing you to view the SGS2's output on currently available TVs.
With the recently available MHL-to-HDMI adapter, you plug a charger into the adapter (the adapter pulls a little power from the charger, sending the rest to the SGS2), the adapter into the SGS2, and run a HDMI cable from the adapter to an external display (HDTV, monitor, etc.).
I have Samsung Galaxy S II, Traveler Charger, Official Samsung MHL Adapter..I know I am missing a Cable but don't know what it is.Can any one help

I have HDMI Connection TV....I think all I need is HDMI-HDMI cable..How much will it be? and will there be different types of HDMI-HDMI cable or all will be same?
A cheap calbe is all you need. Don't be fooled by some sales person trying to flog you an expensive gold plated cable. The signal is digital, either the tv gets a perfect signal or it gets nothing. So a cheap cable is all you need.
If it were an analogue signal, then high quality cables are required for high end equipment.
if you would like use it for watching video or playing game on old TV doesn’t have HDMI port. Thanks to it supports most of video formats(Samsung Galaxy S supporting video/Audio formats), you can enjoy video on larger screen in right a way.it has a TV feature as Omnia II does. While it is not HDMI like Evo 4G, it is decent feature.
If I were to buy the hdmi adapter and plug the tab into the back of my computer would the computer recognize the tab as a monitor? Or would it see it as like a usb device or nothing at all?
Thanks.
Wrong way round, sorry!
The HDMI adapter allows you to output the screen of the Tab onto a TV or (HMDI equipped) Monitor.
In other words, the HMDI adapter is an HMDI output, not input
Ah damnit, thats right I should of known that. Thanks for reminding me at least!
Someone should make an hdmi input adapter so it could work like that! lol

According to the Samsung spec. Tab 2 7.0 does not have hardware to support any type of TV out, either HDMI or AV. so I think you will not find an adapter that works. at all.

Has anyone found a quality HDMI adapter? It seems like there are a few "options", but none that really stand out as the right one. Preferably an OEM / Samsung adapter, but whatever...
So there are a couple of threads related to this, but I couldn't find

Skiva MHL Micro USB to male HDMI cable (6.5 feet) for Samsung Galaxy S3 (SIII LTE i9300 L710 i747 i535 T999), Samsung Note 2, Galaxy S2, Galaxy Note,
It needs to be plugged into a USB power source but it works well.

Yea, I also bought something similar like Skiva MHL from eBay for my Note2 and it works pretty well on Note Pro too. I believe this is better than you have to buy the MHL adapter, I also did and it is more tiring when you have to bring the HDMI with you; it just makes things more complicated and the quality on TV is not that great comparing to the other one. I also experience 2 black panels on the left and right side of my Sony TV, this was explained by the resolution of Note Pro is too high for the TV or some sort, my TV is full HD by the way. Hope this helps.
