hello guys... i was going to buy samsung galaxy s2 phone when i heared about the yellow tint and the camera pink spot issue...
i was wondering about the severity of this issue and DOES IT APPEAR OVER TIME OR JUST FROM THE DAY OF PURCHASE ??
thx every one i really need ur help
Might depend on the phone mine has a horrible green tint when you look at the phone from an angle or have it in lower brightness. My friends is perfectly fine. Id assume you will be able to notice both straight away.
There is a very long thread about this which might help you. Try searching for it.
It appears on purchase.

I just noticed a weird display issue in my sgs2.. it has a grey circle in the lower right corner.
I did all display tests and it's not the common yellow screen bug.

Wow, this is just unbelievable. Screen issues, 3G/Wi-Fi issues, GPS issues.....the list just goes on and on. And yet Samsung is already working on Galaxy 3. Maybe they should have worked on this one a bit longer before releasing this problem ridden thing. Last time I ever buy a Samsung phone.

you hear more about the bad problems, because nobody makes a thread on this forum just to tell, that theit phone is working
i have none of those "problems" you listed above. every phone has such problems. no phone is perfect.
there is no need to tell, that you'll never buy a samsung device again(you probably will), just because you read on the forums, that some people(not that many) have problems with their phone.
OMG! Today, my Samsung Galaxy S2 whole screen turn yellowish. Extremely yellowish. After restart the phone, it back to normal again. Firmware or Hardware problem?
This morning when I woke up
I realized there are some horizontal grey lines on my phone screen
Then I was outside jogging
I noticed the lines are gone
When I back to my room
I put my phone right under the air conditioner
After 15 minutes
When I pick up my phone
Those lines are there again..!
I bring my phone to my living room
My living room is without air conditioner
After 15 minutes I watched the lines are disappearing
I was so curious
Then I again... Put my phone under the air conditioner in my room
Those lines are back!
After this experiment
I assumed the temperature cause these grey lines on the screen
Is anyone also have the same experience?
Facts:
* even without *#0*# the lines are quite visible
*I lived in jakarta, indonesia my AC is set at 25C
*Outside my room without A I reckon about 32-35C
*stock kj2 with speedmod kernel
I'll wait if those lines keep coming back
Then have to visit samsung service center and the them about this.
Pics would be helpful ... because the early batches of SGS2 had the Yellow spots/Line issues!
i had that issue too. when i flashed MIUI rom and i could see horizontal grey lines on the white notification bar... so i did some research and its the hardware issue.. sometimes flashing a new rom goes a way but comes back randomly..
It is hardware issue
Just bring it to service center
They replace the whole screen for you

Apparently not.
Don't worry, I had the same problem. It happens when it's pretty cold outside. However the problem just dissapeared..
I had the same issue on my 26" led monitor, Galaxy S, Galaxy S II which bought in May and newer Galaxy S II which bought in November too. My room is 22C and outside is -8C.
Is this be a screen virus Its more noticeable on purple and grey colors. Android 4 uses grey colors and my CM9 looks bad.

Hello guys, now its been almost a week since i've had my s3 but yesterday night before going to sleep, i just unlocked my phone in pitch black darkness and what i saw was white light originating from the left capacitive key extending to the screen which looked really bad like a screen burn or some kind of weird white patch on the screen as if i've cracked it, and if it were from both keys i cud have convinced myself that its normal but its only the left key! and its not at all noticable even in a little light and if your screen is not using a dark black background.. so what do you guys suggest me to do? can you guys check your phones in a fully dark room with black blackground and touch keys lit up?? and will my warranty consider this an issue and cover it? i feel so bad right now :/
I'll check later tonight, but I generally have those lights permanently off since my S2 as the intermittent on/off at every screen touch is an annoyance particularly when watching videos
I would suggest turning them off, the buttons are easy enough to find in the dark plus you save a little bit of battery.

i dont have it and i also turn off those capacitive lights. either you have to live with or go far an exchange.
You sure?
Are you sure?
It can only be seen in a dark room and with a black background on the phone.
I dont like having flaws on my new stuff. I am gonna try to exchange it.

I went to the dealer and they said that they would send it to the shop to check if it really had a failure, and if it had a hardware failure they would exchange it in one week!!!!!!!!!!! i will just stay with my phone as it is. It is more possible they will really screw it on the shop with something really bad to worry about, and I bet that the next one will have the same flaw or another even worst, so I prefer to stay with mine.
I own Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100. The problem is that screen al of the sudden got very bright and dark lines appeared. Screen works without any issues and sometimes problem disappears. I tried to disassemble the phone and reconnect the display, but that didn't fix it.
Do you have any tips on how to solve this issue?
If it is permanent damage, maybe you can give me some tips on where to buy and how to change the display. How much is it going to cost?
Sorry to tell you this but it sounds like your screen needs to be replaced. If it wasn't for the dark lines it could be a software issue but his isn't the case.

Hey everyone!
Few months ago I bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 (international, GT-i9300) and I noticed a small issue with the display/screen.
A row of semi-transparent icons appear on the screen for as long as it's ON. I don't know if anyone else experienced this issue, to help me out, but it is annoying, wherever I go, whatever I do, those icons remain on the screen, semi-transparent.
Whenever I take a screenshot and send it to my PC, the icons do not appear on the screenshot. I would love to know what this issue is and if there is a possible way to fix it.
I would upload an example how it looks but due to my low post count I am unable to add external picture links.
Use the search facility, this has been asked before.
It's the OLED showing screen burn, like tube TV's used to. There is no cure.
