the problem lies with the id tags that is associated with your songs. they should be encoded with utf-8 format so as to be readable. google mp3 id tag editor.

Merry Christmas to everyone!!
I would like to ask if someone knows, how can i make my songs (.mp3) to have recognizable characters at every android media player. Let me make clear to you that non-english characters (greek letters) at my songs are nearly unreadable at players. Media players play such songs normally but i can not read their IDE tags (for example: individual artist's name, album's name, e.t.c....) Every android file explorer can identify their name, (so windows 7 do) but not the android players ( i have tested almost every media player available in market, now i am using miui player with the same problem). I have HTC magic with CM7.2 and the problem is with greek letters in songs which they appear to me as chinese ones and therefore i am not able to make playlists, choose a specific song from my list... How can i fix this??

well I am able to add/change lyrics of my flac files with foobar2000 manually on windows. just right-click the song then properties and then add your lyrics to the "Lyrics" section. But I only do that if my automatic lyricsgrabber-plugin (also compatible with foobar) fails.
but I play my music with poweramp and it displays the lyrics correctly, so I don't know if the stock player can display them (and I cannot test it as I deleted it )

sorry I cannot answer you for the stock music player, because I deleted it. In poweramp you also have to click on lyrics
But I remember long ago (1-2 years ) I used jetaudio and it was able to display automatically the lyrics semi-transparent on top of the album cover if you checked the correct setting. But I don't know if this feature still exists
hi
after searching on google, i found nothing but amazon's kindle and audible, with the feature called whispersync synchronizing text to speech, just every page (i found on youtube it is highlighted every line, i am not sure),
so the idea, is that i need an app synchronizing text to natural narrator's voice, i.e audiobook, not text to speech engine, as i found many, coz i need that to learn english , i am not american
the problem is that i got a message "this service is not available on ur country" on google play, so i downloaded it as apk, however i still can't get the ebook i wish coz i can't purchase on amazon for the same reason
is there any app other than kindle for my purpose?? for instance, there is an app called crintsoft mini lyrics, syncing song to text line by line in LRC format
so i wondered is this LRC format available in audiobooks??
as a last resort, i downloaded an audiobook in mp3, but wasn't recognized when placed in sdcard0/audible, i fogured out it must be aax format, so can i convert mp3->aax??
as a last resort, is there any other audiobook player so that i can listen alongside reading, even without sync??? any idea??
by the way, is that whispersync feature syncing every line or every page??
i know it maybe weird i need that badly but this maybe the best way for those learning english , especially to enhance accent
thanks in advance
I'm using Turkish characters on mp3 file's ID tags (Title for example) some of them displays correct but some of them displays some weird chinese characters. When i check tags from a computer, they look fine. But if i send them to my android tablet or to my android phone i see some weird characters.
Strange thing is same Turkish character looks fine on some files but it looks like a chinese character on some files.
I attached two example mp3 files. 'Ü' character in "Metrisin Önünde.mp3" file looks perfectly fine but in "Üzülme.mp3" file looks like a chinese character. You can see this if you upload these files to your phone and play them with google play music.
How can i fix this? Is this a known bug in Android?
