He lists all the APK's in the linked thread and I see Kies in there so 99.999% sure it is a Samsung based ROM so the Hellraiser is going to work.

It works, but I didn't care for it at all. Flashed something else within a few minutes.

So kinda new here and have flashed every rom available for our I777 phones. Anybody else working on anything new? Think I posted in the right section right?

You can also flash the i9100 ROMs and use the hellraiser package.
I think we are in the lull before the storm. Once the full i9100 ICS source drops, and a port can be made for the i777, things will pick back up to a feverish pace.
Plus, what else is there to do? Everything I have tried is stable, smooth, and generally great. If themes is what you want try CM7/MIUI, but have hundreds of themes available.

I would flash some i9100 roms aka international SGS2. There are quite a few good ones. All you have to do is flash one of them and hellraise it and it will work most of the time. Start out in the Hellraiser thread and then check out the QA thread it gives some helpful info about not flashing roms with bootloaders and what not. AOSP (cm7/miui) based ROMs do not work with the Hellraiser.
ROMs are super-duper secret. You're obviously not in the loop.

someone may have flashed an international ROM, but here we can pretty much completely assure you that that person did NOT hellraise it. I think the hellraiser package has pretty much got it down well enough that there really shouldnt be any worry with it, fixes keyconfigs, kernel and some other things, so u dont need to worry much or wait for anything on that front anyway

Shhh. Dont tell him the secret. If they cant search and read to find out that easy information, then look at what kind of threads/posts he will make in the Dev section.

+1 I'm waiting for official ICS for my Moto StarTac
Yeah, I may go back to Verizon so I can go to the best smartphone ever released - Kyocera 6035.
Pfft, you mean the HTC 8525 (TyTN).
The Skyrocket got a unofficial leak of the ICS build, so I was wondering whether that would help us with creating new ICS roms or anything, since the Skyrocket and Note have similar hardware.

Thanks.
It should help us, but we need a Dev willing to port

I think this thread beat that one by 90 minutes. But, I think the Skyrocket ROM won't be all that useful, and I suspect there will be a Note ICS leak coming shortly.

sorry man, that's really weird, i searched q&a AND this thread and didn't see anything so i posted. I'm really sorry :/
So I saw a thread maybe 5 days ago, and I remember a bunch of little things about it, but not the actual title of the thread! It was a thread previewing (no download link, but someone commented with a link and apparently it was working) for a rom that was supposedly a hybrid of aosp, touchwiz, and sense all in one, and working. I remember that the OP was from Great Britain and that the description of the title of the rom was a particle that binds something together or some crap. Basically symbolizing the pulling together of all the frameworks. Idk how I couldn't find it, as I went through all the Dev sections of i9100 and couldn't find it. Not sure if the thread was deleted or something. Anyone else see or hear of this and have any answers? I'm really looking to try that out hah

Lol dude whatttttt, I definitely looked at that one like 4 times, donno how I missed it. Thanks!! I'll turn this thread into something more useful now, in a couple days when I get to it hah
Not trying to start anything or get mud slinging, just looking for some facts. Since I'm running an older version of the ROM I'm wondering why all the threads are closed. I see he's still active on other boards.
Normally when I've seen threads heading south and getting closed there is some trolling and obvious discussion pre close.
What's everyone switched to?
Thanks.
Jamie is going to the NOTE 2. The reason the thread was closed is because someone posted a link from another forum.

Jamie's rom has ended developement here only on XDA. He's onto his Note 2 starting next week. You can try googling for him "Jamied81' if you want. I'm currently using the Oct24th ROM!

i thought all roms were google on google phones. i looked, all the [ROM] threads have weird names. i just need old samsung rom. anyone have it?
All roms are google because google makes android but whenever you buy a phone the company puts there software on top of android. The nexus didnt have any software added so its a pure google rom. Go to the thread I sent you and look for CyanogenMod.

ROMs are phone dependant. What you are looking for is an unaltered version of android, like your nexus had. The closest you will find is a ROM like Cyanogen mod... CM for short, or one that says AOSP in the name (Android open Source Project).
Really you should read the stickies in the main forum and research a little about installing ROMs on a phone. You should not just jump in with no knowledge and expect to get it the way you want right away. This is a lot of the time a trial and error thing until you find a ROM that suits your tastes.
Good luck in your search for a new ROM.

You have a lot of reading and research to do if you ended up paying someone on Craigslist to root your phone. For all you know it only has root and still has the locked bootloader and stock recovery. READ, READ, and then READ SOME MORE.

Yes the galaxy nexus and galaxy note 2 are two total different roms. The note has samsung touchwiz which has alot of great features that pure aosp doesnt but if you are looking for aosp I would suggest cm10.1 or liquidsmooth my 2 favorit aosp roms. Just like the guy stated be sure you know what you are doing before you delve any deeper and have a bricked phone!

Watch he will start a thread saying "HELP I BRICKED MY PHONE, HELP ME FAST!"
but you want cm10.1 like everyone has said. But read dude. You sound like you need to study up

A good start for you is go to settings then all the way at the bottom select about phone. See what build your phone is on and also what andeois version (4.1.2 oe 4.2.2 etc) search for qhat your phone has as those and you can find out if your running a stock or custom rom. From there someone can better help you choose a rom to test. But keep in mind roms come down to what you like not qhat everyone else likes. I'm currently running the transnebula tab rom and loving right now. But always read read read before doing anything if you're new to this. Then when you think you're ready read some more then test

Just run someone else's rom. If you cant find the cm thread on your own, you got a slim chance of cooking a rom. I mean good luck but it sounds like a terrible idea to me and you dont know much about android dude. Use google to find a guide. Its not difficult friend

Read more.... lots more and jump in! It's a lot if work, but you can make your own, but you will need research. You won't get the info you need by asking, you won't get enough to succeed. Sure I could point you to the ROM kitchen thread or a thread with guides to compile and AOSP ROM from source, but I'm betting you dont know what that means yet. Which is why I say research then when you get stuck people are very helpful.
Ps guys I agree he's not ready yet and is probably best running someone's work, but I always encourage new development
