Any new roms being worked on? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

So kinda new here and have flashed every rom available for our I777 phones. Anybody else working on anything new? Think I posted in the right section right?

You can also flash the i9100 ROMs and use the hellraiser package.
I think we are in the lull before the storm. Once the full i9100 ICS source drops, and a port can be made for the i777, things will pick back up to a feverish pace.
Plus, what else is there to do? Everything I have tried is stable, smooth, and generally great. If themes is what you want try CM7/MIUI, but have hundreds of themes available.
Sent from my Galaxy S II (i777)

I would flash some i9100 roms aka international SGS2. There are quite a few good ones. All you have to do is flash one of them and hellraise it and it will work most of the time. Start out in the Hellraiser thread and then check out the QA thread it gives some helpful info about not flashing roms with bootloaders and what not. AOSP (cm7/miui) based ROMs do not work with the Hellraiser.

ROMs are super-duper secret. You're obviously not in the loop.

someone may have flashed an international ROM, but here we can pretty much completely assure you that that person did NOT hellraise it. I think the hellraiser package has pretty much got it down well enough that there really shouldnt be any worry with it, fixes keyconfigs, kernel and some other things, so u dont need to worry much or wait for anything on that front anyway

What's another good place to find roms?

Was just wondering if anyone knows any other good sites and if you've found/are running anything that you have got from another site.
Thanks.
Can get something from the i9100 forum and hellraise it. I'm running one from there that I just installed.
Thanks, but I was looking for roms that aren't from XDA.
RootzWiki, though its not very active
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using Tapatalk
Rootzwiki is somewhat active on older phones but on newer ones its not. You can also try the theunlockr.com but i believe most of the roms come from xda.
Thanks for the replies guys.
Google is your friend.
Although, I think I would refrain from trying any, unless there were a large base of people who are not having issues.
Pay particular attention to the model numbers being used etc.
Of course, if bricking your phone is of no monetary concern, then by all means, go for it!
My 2 cents....
Thanks, but unfortunately google hasn't really turned up much.

threads like this are useless. For two reasons. A) we already have fully functional ics releases. With less bloat than the official ics will have. And b) use Google search. U can check the status of ics for our device yourself. And grab news about possible release dates.

This thread is useful for two reasons.
1. Samsung hasn't officially released a date yet and there really hasn't been a word on a Google search as to whether or not ICS has been released for the AT&T Galaxy S2.
2. Not everyone prefers the modified versions of the ROM, and though there is bloat on the AT&T versions, not everyone's incredibly satisfied with the custom ROM's (I am personally, but yeah, not everyone's down for the custom ROM's).
3. If the official ICS did come out, it can provide something or another to make the current custom ROM's better, such as the ability to get Google Wallet (or ISIS) working, for example.
I appreciate that this is a forum for developers, but that still doesn't allow us to flame every new thread that comes on here that's not created by one of the elite or something or another >.>

Dude. When ICS hits it hits. And if u can't find anything on Google about ics release dates or possible release dates u aren't searching right. Either way when it does drop u go right ahead and flash that buggy bloated OS. I'll stick with my AOKP.
Edit: I sound like a douche in this post. So no more arguing. Hope we get official ics too sometime soon. But odds are I won't flash it anyway ;-p

Oh you're right about this being a developers forum but you're completely wrong about the assumptions that only "elite" members can post. You're about as wrong as humanly possible. We only yell at people for threads like these because it does NOT help any developer in any way and this question gets asked over and over again all in separate threads which bog down the forums an leave less room for the more legitimate questions/ posts. And once you've been on here a while you usually know when you should post a thread or when you shouldn't. I've created a total of 2 threads and only one of them was a thread asking a question (the other was for a pair of cm7 themes) and I made sure it hadn't been asked before. Understand a little better?

I am with you on how this i777 should behave and tone down but you list 3 reasons that I think useless, or should I say "non-productive", here's why
1. If you google/search and find nothing, you MUST think, I mean automatically think, that it is either NOT NOW or NEVER happen. Just like when you search a word and it isn't in the dictionary, you should automatically know that the word is not exist or not being defined yet.
2. custom ROM is for who love to flash, if ones don't want to flash, why would they come here in first place? Moreover, if AT&T decide to release their OFFICIAL ICS for this i777, the owners would get the update automatically, right? Then why stop here anyway
3. If the official ICS did come out? if so, then search/google in step one already yield some results.

[Q] Which ROM Should I Use?

Please do yourself a favor and do some research before you even think about doing what you are thinking about doing.
Once you start reading and ask relevant questions, people will answer you better. Even if you haven't tried it yet, and you ask questions that occur only after having read about it, people will start pointing you in the right direction.

KH7 and KK6 are basically the same and run fine everywhere except the Loop and O'Hare, where the data doesn't work at all.
I recently tried out LC5 by accident and it turns out that works great in O'Hare and the Loop, but is very spotty everywhere else. I should probably go through the others but that would require a free weekday in the Loop.

Btw, the person who posted the kernel tests thread, #1, that thread is I9100 and our I777s are different, #2, each person's I777 is different and reacts to different kernels differently, so that thread is practically useless to us.

Sorry OP, but your best bet is to do all the research you can before doing anything with any custom roms.

[Q] Is there a stable ICS rom out for 1777 yet?

I see that there is the cyromod9 for the i19100, but does that mean that there ICS roms for the 1777 out already, or possibly incoming? I mainly want to know if the super-brick bug on ICS is dealt with yet.

This was originally posted on the i9100 forum. It was moved.
Once again, purely depend on your definition of "stable", every ICS ROM in here is very stable based on my definition.
And it should have been deleted, not moved. This guy took 0 effort looking. How hard would it have been to click in the right section of the forums, click in the development section and see ICS ROMs plastered all over the page? Or do a search for "ICS for i777" - hell, that lead me to these forums in the first place!!

What I'm wondering is, when RIL is finally released for the Rezound, will it be forwards and backwards compatible? Will GB, ICS, and JB all match up and work? Or is it specific to each?
Edit: I see someone started a discussion in the General forum while I was typing this. My apologies.

I'd bet that the ICS RIL would work with few or no modifications in JB, but then again I don't know a thing about Android development.
