I see that there is the cyromod9 for the i19100, but does that mean that there ICS roms for the 1777 out already, or possibly incoming? I mainly want to know if the super-brick bug on ICS is dealt with yet.

By the"1777", if you mean the SGH-i777 (that's an i, not a one), which is the ATT variant of the Galaxy S2, then you are wasting your time asking here in the i9100 forums.
Look in the i777 forums.

This was originally posted on the i9100 forum. It was moved.
Once again, purely depend on your definition of "stable", every ICS ROM in here is very stable based on my definition.
And it should have been deleted, not moved. This guy took 0 effort looking. How hard would it have been to click in the right section of the forums, click in the development section and see ICS ROMs plastered all over the page? Or do a search for "ICS for i777" - hell, that lead me to these forums in the first place!!

You can also flash the i9100 ROMs and use the hellraiser package.
I think we are in the lull before the storm. Once the full i9100 ICS source drops, and a port can be made for the i777, things will pick back up to a feverish pace.
Plus, what else is there to do? Everything I have tried is stable, smooth, and generally great. If themes is what you want try CM7/MIUI, but have hundreds of themes available.
Sent from my Galaxy S II (i777)
I would flash some i9100 roms aka international SGS2. There are quite a few good ones. All you have to do is flash one of them and hellraise it and it will work most of the time. Start out in the Hellraiser thread and then check out the QA thread it gives some helpful info about not flashing roms with bootloaders and what not. AOSP (cm7/miui) based ROMs do not work with the Hellraiser.
ROMs are super-duper secret. You're obviously not in the loop.

someone may have flashed an international ROM, but here we can pretty much completely assure you that that person did NOT hellraise it. I think the hellraiser package has pretty much got it down well enough that there really shouldnt be any worry with it, fixes keyconfigs, kernel and some other things, so u dont need to worry much or wait for anything on that front anyway

And we're already aware the ****rocket got an ICS leak that was useless to us. Thus this thread is useless because it's redundant - the OP is yet another person who broke the XDA rules and posted without searching. The ****rocket ICS leak has already been discussed numerous times in other threads, it is NOT news and does NOT justify creating yet another new thread so that you can get "omg I have my own thread on XDA!!!" cred.
We're about a week out of kernel sources, and we already have ICS in a better state than that leak. The only things that remain are polishing and NFC, and the polishing part would be required even if we'd gotten official ICS at the same time as the I9100 - it simply takes time to do a proper kernel on a new source base for a completely new Android base.
NFC may require an official I777 ICS release, or maybe just a bit of hacking to get the M250S/K stuff working on I777. If I can get the M250 stuff working on I777, there's a good chance I can get it working on CM9 at that point too.
Redundant thread is redundant.
Closed thread is closed.
I just went to check whether an update is released (I was bored) and It said "an update is available for your phone, but the servers are busy." What do you guys think this means? There's a thread on this for the skyrocket too...

This thread is useful for two reasons.
1. Samsung hasn't officially released a date yet and there really hasn't been a word on a Google search as to whether or not ICS has been released for the AT&T Galaxy S2.
2. Not everyone prefers the modified versions of the ROM, and though there is bloat on the AT&T versions, not everyone's incredibly satisfied with the custom ROM's (I am personally, but yeah, not everyone's down for the custom ROM's).
3. If the official ICS did come out, it can provide something or another to make the current custom ROM's better, such as the ability to get Google Wallet (or ISIS) working, for example.
I appreciate that this is a forum for developers, but that still doesn't allow us to flame every new thread that comes on here that's not created by one of the elite or something or another >.>

Dude. When ICS hits it hits. And if u can't find anything on Google about ics release dates or possible release dates u aren't searching right. Either way when it does drop u go right ahead and flash that buggy bloated OS. I'll stick with my AOKP.
Edit: I sound like a douche in this post. So no more arguing. Hope we get official ics too sometime soon. But odds are I won't flash it anyway ;-p

Oh you're right about this being a developers forum but you're completely wrong about the assumptions that only "elite" members can post. You're about as wrong as humanly possible. We only yell at people for threads like these because it does NOT help any developer in any way and this question gets asked over and over again all in separate threads which bog down the forums an leave less room for the more legitimate questions/ posts. And once you've been on here a while you usually know when you should post a thread or when you shouldn't. I've created a total of 2 threads and only one of them was a thread asking a question (the other was for a pair of cm7 themes) and I made sure it hadn't been asked before. Understand a little better?

I am with you on how this i777 should behave and tone down but you list 3 reasons that I think useless, or should I say "non-productive", here's why
1. If you google/search and find nothing, you MUST think, I mean automatically think, that it is either NOT NOW or NEVER happen. Just like when you search a word and it isn't in the dictionary, you should automatically know that the word is not exist or not being defined yet.
2. custom ROM is for who love to flash, if ones don't want to flash, why would they come here in first place? Moreover, if AT&T decide to release their OFFICIAL ICS for this i777, the owners would get the update automatically, right? Then why stop here anyway
3. If the official ICS did come out? if so, then search/google in step one already yield some results.

Not everyone roots/roms. I'm waiting on the official update. From past experiences there are people within the industry on this sitewho have information that isn't yet released to the public.
Hey guys, I have a question that will hopefully be answered. I searched beforehand and i couldn't find anything so i decided to make a new thread. If this information has been covered before please direct me toward the thread and close/delete this one, thanks!
So I have lost hope in getting official releases for jellybean on our device, and so i have flashed a few jelly Bean ROMs. The one thing that has bugged me is the lack of prophecy butter because the os still feels choppy at times. I know that we likely won't get official project butter on any ROMs until (at least) the i9100 gets official butter, however, will cyanogen mod, being aosp, include project butter?
On a similar note, how stable are the nightly builds currently? I looked for a list of broken/working features and all i found is everything is broken until it works, which isn't very helpful.
Thanks everyone. Cheers

Read. Search. Both things you didn't do before making this thread. Read the CM10 thread for your information about project butter and aosp roms as well as to see how stable it is for people. And we most likely will not get official jellybean. Just because the I9100 got it doesn't mean the i777 will.

I don't mean to like get defensive and stuff but I actually did quite a bit of reading and researching, all to no avail, which led to me to just ask. Like I said, hardly anyone speaks of CM10 for the i777, I mean, aren't we supposed to have a thread under the development section for it? That'd probably be a great place to look for information but it doesn't exist. Everyone is too excited about the i9100 and t mobile s2 (t898?) to say much about the i777. Thank you very much for your help though, I will be sure to continue digging through the CM website
