One thing I really like about Samsung phones is that the soft key lights auto dim after not being used for a certain period of time. Is it possible to implement this onto the attic?

Nobody?

Most roms like cm7 already have it included like in auto brightness.

Darskide 4.5 has it dimmed from what I recall.

What I'm referring to is when the screen is touched or soft keys are pressed, they light up to full brightness. After 2 or 3 seconds of not touching anything, they turn off, rendering black. I find this to be very useful while watching YouTube videos in a darker environment, as the soft keys will be completely black.

It would be fine if we could just dim the damn capacitive buttons
Theres a root app I used on my OG called led hack

Screen Filter turns off the button lights no root needed. On the market

Is there any way to dim the touch keys? On my white s3 they are the brightest in low light conditions. I know I can shut them down in the system menu without a hack, and but I like to see them in daylight.

Would be great to have an option to dim them....

I don't think there is a way to dim them.
I just turned mine off, they were way way too bright.
I know where they are anyway...
Yeah. Good point. I know where which key is too, but my wife doesn't, and on her HTC her keys are switched in function.

In many apps, some that lock to landscape orientation and some that don't, I've been noticing that the upper left corner of the screen flashes and 'melts' colors together for a split second, then goes back to normal. That's the upper left in portrait, and the lower left/upper right in landscape. It doesn't do it with all apps, but it does with several and it is greatly annoying. Is anyone else having this problem? And if so, what's causing it?
I've been noticing that it mainly does it with ken magic's solitaire app, and with the stock messaging in all orientations.

I had seen a post regarding this a while ago. It seems there is a layer of glue that holds the capacitive layer the screen. If it starts to come unglued the result is that color banding you see. May want to take it back if still under warranty, doubt it will get better by itself if that is truly what is occurring.

If that's so, why does it only do it in landscape with certain apps?

I don't know, are both corners the same color in that app regardless of the orientation? If not, maybe it's more noticeable with certain colors. If so, then I don't know what to tell you. Sorry.

Any ideas? Its been this way on all three of the phones I have had. So its software. Its really bugging me

Could you possibly post a picture? I would say it's something to do with the voltages, but the LED voltages on the i777 refuse to change so it's not that.
Yea I'll post pictures. I'll have to Odin back first to get default brightness.

Not sure what happened but the option for this seemed to have vanished. I changed the duration to 6 seconds but wanted to turn it off since I'm using gravitybox and the navbar.
The option is supposed to be under display, I even can search for it using the menu search option, and it shows there, but when I click to go to the search results nothing shows up
