Could you possibly post a picture? I would say it's something to do with the voltages, but the LED voltages on the i777 refuse to change so it's not that.
Yea I'll post pictures. I'll have to Odin back first to get default brightness.

Hey guys, sorry if this has already been posted, I couldn't find anything, but I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same problem or if there is a fix. Currently whenever I turn on my phone to wake it, a series of lines on a black screen displays for a few seconds before I am greeted by my lock screen, does anyone know how to fix this?

One thing I really like about Samsung phones is that the soft key lights auto dim after not being used for a certain period of time. Is it possible to implement this onto the attic?

Nobody?

Most roms like cm7 already have it included like in auto brightness.

Darskide 4.5 has it dimmed from what I recall.

What I'm referring to is when the screen is touched or soft keys are pressed, they light up to full brightness. After 2 or 3 seconds of not touching anything, they turn off, rendering black. I find this to be very useful while watching YouTube videos in a darker environment, as the soft keys will be completely black.

Use superdim app from market

Is there any way to dim the touch keys? On my white s3 they are the brightest in low light conditions. I know I can shut them down in the system menu without a hack, and but I like to see them in daylight.

Would be great to have an option to dim them....

I don't think there is a way to dim them.
I just turned mine off, they were way way too bright.
I know where they are anyway...
Yeah. Good point. I know where which key is too, but my wife doesn't, and on her HTC her keys are switched in function.

In many apps, some that lock to landscape orientation and some that don't, I've been noticing that the upper left corner of the screen flashes and 'melts' colors together for a split second, then goes back to normal. That's the upper left in portrait, and the lower left/upper right in landscape. It doesn't do it with all apps, but it does with several and it is greatly annoying. Is anyone else having this problem? And if so, what's causing it?
I've been noticing that it mainly does it with ken magic's solitaire app, and with the stock messaging in all orientations.

I had seen a post regarding this a while ago. It seems there is a layer of glue that holds the capacitive layer the screen. If it starts to come unglued the result is that color banding you see. May want to take it back if still under warranty, doubt it will get better by itself if that is truly what is occurring.

If that's so, why does it only do it in landscape with certain apps?

I don't know, are both corners the same color in that app regardless of the orientation? If not, maybe it's more noticeable with certain colors. If so, then I don't know what to tell you. Sorry.

I've had my rezound for over a year now and have never noticed this before until now. If my phone is asleep with the screen off, I can swipe my finger across the soft keys and they turn on. Even more, if I swipe a few times, the screen turns on as well. This causes the screen to turn on when I don't want it to very often. Is this an intended feature? I find it very annoying. I'm running stock ICS with the newest version of funky kernel.

Thats what sweep2wake is. Also, if you start at search and sweep left to home it will relock. It's a very experimental feature that I am not too particularly fond of but wanted to give everyone the option to run it.
1st question for you; what rom were/are you running?
2nd question; which option did you take at time of installation of my kernel?
Ah ha. I'm on stock ics. I left things the way they were when I installed the kernel, so I'm guessing it's on by default?

Yup. Working on fixing that though. Use kernel tuner> Misc tweaks to disable/enable it.

You're welcome. Should be corrected in v2.7. I now s2w to default to disabled, one if you want to enable it again either flash my scripts installer or enable with kernel tuner.
