[Q] Why is "send it back" the first choice? - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Just wondering why "send it back" is what everyone is saying they are going to do on every thread with any issue?

because the tablet is so locked down there isn't any other choice if you want to fix your issues.

[Q] tab rejected drop downs - even here.....

Hi often I have a problem getting drop down boxes to allow me to put in a question. The system, Inc this site, rejects me as soon as I try to type anything in search. Same on SGS yesterday and resulted in using main computer which I was hoping to get rid of now. Any suggestions on glitch?

Sorry, can you give more info? You want to put a question into a drop down box? What software are you talking about? Are you talking about the internet? What system rejects you, and when? Be specific and give the relevant information.
I have the same problem. Using stock or non stock browser, can't use drop down menus normally. Seems to go to the first link in the drop down list, instead of pausing at the whole list long enough to make the selection you want to make. On this site for instance, trying to click on the "search this thread," it doesn't stay up long enough to type anything.
Perhaps unrelated but equally frustrating is trying to edit this post I'm currently writing. When trying to move the cursor, it will jump on me and not go where I had intended it to go. Anyone have a solution for either of these problems, I would love them dearly. Unfortunately the only solution I've found so far is to use my desktop/laptop or GASP! my wife's iPad.
To clarify, looks like most of the pulldowns work on this site, with the exception being trying to type into the drop down "search this thread" button.
Also, on the jumping cursor bit, seems to happen with either stock or non stock keyboards.

[Q] Keyboard/typing problems (would appreciate your help)

Hi, i have been using the Android Keyboard from Exynos Extreme Rom, and i have issues with typing things.
For example, when i type 'hello how are you today?'
it'll come out as 'hhello how are you ttoday?'
or when i start a new line of words, it'll 'auto transfer' the last word i used.
if i typed: 'i finished my dinner le'
then i press send, then the next line when i type 'have you taken yours?'
it'll come up as 'lehave you taken yours?'
get what i mean? anyone else experiencing these problems? please advice D:
i know for sure that i didn't press the same key twice. i'm 100% sure of it.
i find this problem very annoying T.T

[Q] Hack in a "Select All" button in ICS copy-paste?

Is this possible? Does anyone have any ideas about how I might go about doing this?
My 3.2 Thrive Tablet has a select all option when copying and pasting, but my new 4.04 One X does not. I want it! Even if it means I need to remove another option.
If it's specific to applications, the application I need it for is Pulse News, which is the same version on both devices.
Anyone?
Thank you for any information! Even if it's just a direction to look in!

Native email app (missing 'mark as read')

I swear to God the first time I'm installed an ICS leak, I noticed that the email app finally had the option I was looking for. When you mark some emails down the lefthandside in the checkbox, you can bring up the menu and choose mark as read, or mark ALL as read.
Now released fully, ICS does not have this, only single mails at a time by long pressing on them.
Is this something someone can modify easily? Surely I'm not alone with this missing feature? I did find another developer that had made one, but I tired (and failed) to use it. The app loads, but crashes when retrieving mails.

Can any clever people help out here - pretty please?
Does have that option, look hard
Hint: its an icon not menu item.

Thanks for the reply, boy do I feel an idiot now. But, to be fair [trying to justify my stupidy], it *was* a menu option before.
**hides under nearest rock**
Mark all as read on s2
Shame that this tread does not conclude with some more detail.
because you might get it while im still in the mist.
I still have not worked out how to mark all mail as read on a S2 with a 4.0.3 set up.
could anyone please be so kind to really clear this up for us?

[Q] "Download too large for operator network"

Folks,
Is there any way of stopping the KFHDX nannying me?
I have an unlimited data plan, and want to be able to download anything I want WHEN I want.
However when I try to download large files (especially audio books), the KFHDX comes up with the error in the title.
I find this very annoying, and was wondering if there is a way of overriding this settings somewhere?
I've been through all the menu's but I can't find it!
*BUMP*
Come on - nobody have any idea? I'm losing faith in the power of XDA, here!
Right. After a lot of Google-ing, I found this:
https://android.googlesource.com/pl...afdec0e2229368d3cc20d0/res/values/strings.xml
Can someone who understands this confirm that it is the CARRIER (EE in my case) that specifies the download limit, and not the device?
A string further down mentions the option of having a button present that overrides the restriction, and starts the download anyway. That button is obviously not present on the KFHDX, so I guess Amazon decided that we really don't want to use 4G to download stuff... :-S
What files would need to be tweaked to enable this?
200+ views, no answers? Hm.
I hear crickets & is that a tumbleweed I see?

Hey there, it's really annoying and frustrating if so many people see your thread and don't answer! I know, cause I had some threads myself where i didn't get any response. So I am just stepping by to say hello and tell you that I have no idea how to help you
From what I understand though,it's an operator thing. What do the officials (your operator and Amazon) say about this?
