MiniCM7 v21 and Sony Ericsson Bluethoot VH110 - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hi,
since I can not answer directly in the dedicated thread of "MiniCM7 v21" , I'm forced to ask here.
I finally installed today MiniCM7 v21 on my X10 mini pro, a great ROM and runs very well.
But I have a problem: I can not make my phone work with the Sony Ericsson VH110 headset rather than before, instead with the stock rom it worked fine.
I turn it on and do research, but can not find the phone (though it is put as detectable) and the phone can not find the headset, although it is turned on.
How can I do? The rest works fine, even LiveView ... just because the headset is not it?
I need! Please help me!

up
nobody knows how to help me?

up
I'm waiting for answer...help me to fix it! please!

did you ask Paul?

Well, if it's urgent, I can only suggest You to change ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1415026
works better than MiniCM7pro, with bluetooth devices...
Cheers,
M.

thanks for the report ... I just put the MiniCM7 v21, unlocking the bootloader would not know do it ...
you use the rom that you've reported? what are the differences?

you mean you dont know how to unlock the bootloader?
oh, its easy. go HERE: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=986692
DL > INSTALL> OPEN> connect your phone and just click unlock bootloader [i think its the unlocked lock button] and you're done
next step will be to flash kernel. download the kernel and extract it on the desktop. In flashtool, click the flash button [lightning button] > flashmode > "..." button > desktop > open
[note: you wont be able to select the ftf file, you just have to select the directory, the location of the file]
select the kernel from the select firmware window thingy, and also select BOTH the files, loader.sin AND kernel.sin and hit OK. and follow the simple instructions that follow.
BAADAAAM!
custom kernels are better, faster and have more features. Especially nAa kernel, though its not the fastest.
For now, im using android kernel by paul. Its basically the same as nAa BUT..at 800mHz even though, wifi doesnt work with it, which it does with nAa kernel.

I have put a "thanks" with the button ... thanks for all the explanations ... for what I understand, the modified kernel is faster, but not everything works ...
In your opinion what is the best kernel for this phone? I need the wifi .. and also bluethoot and 3g ...

For fully developed kernels, everything DOES work.
I dont think Tethering even worked with stock kernel, i dint try it honestly, so i might be mistaken.
Paul's Android kernel is NOT fully developed. As a matter of fact, there's not even a specific thread for it.
If you want CyanogenMod, then the only option you have is nAa kernel with MiniCM7.
If you want to give other ROMs a try, you can try Fa kernel[800Mhz], which works with almost all ROMs except MiniCM7 and the official cyanogenMod.
Wifi, bluetooth, 3g works. For me, atleast.
Another kernel available is the ZombiePanic kernel, best to be used with GinTonic or Flame.E/Flame.GDX.
PS; everything works in ALL the mentioned kernels EXCEPT Wifi tethering.. Which works ONLY with MiniCM7 and nAa kernel.

Of course I do.
(If You look at my sign, "mimmi" is my phone... )
I think it's really faster than Paul-xxx MINICM7 v21 (that is just faster than v20!) and bluetooth works better...
Wasn't this Your question?

then, I have some questions for you:
- Have you tried bluethoot headset and they work with the ROM indicated?
- The accelerometer works or goes in spurts (eg when playing GT racing using the phone as a steering working?). With the compass or the bubble's level, go in spurts? because does this happen with MiniCM7 v21...accelerometer in games or app doesn't work fine..
If you tell me that these things work, I think that as soon as I have time, I'll try to flash the ROM which you have indicated...was the right time that finally all works on this phone!

sorry!
I can only answer You about bluetooth headset, I'm using.
Don't know (ever tried!), for all other Your questions.
P.S.: I'm using nAa kernel, v8. I don't know for other release'
Cheers,
M.

[Help] Unable to start wifi - After installed custom kernel

Hi everyone,
My X10i said that it cannot enable wifi after I had installed custom kernel on STOCK ROM (I have tried many of stock firmwares but the same problem). The custom kernel I used is:
- FreeKernel-alpha1 by zdzihu
- FreeKernel-alpha1-in-call volume fix by zdzihu
I also used the FreeXperia Kernel beta4 by Bin4ry. The wifi works good but I cannot start a full benchmark from Quadrand. It said that "this phone does not support ..." something like that when I tried to benchmark.
Please help!
Thanks in advance.
Custom kernals aren't supported at this point so it would make sense that you had some error, especially when you are installing it on a STOCK rom. There's not much you can do until they develop something stable =)

Thanks, I create this thread because I watched the video in which X10i (STOCK firmware) installed custom kernel from zdzihu and the wifi works properly. But mine is not working.
Just download "barnacle" from the marketplace and use that. It works perfectly.

Can you post a dmesg of the error right after the "Unable to start Wi-fi" ?
Open a terminal emulator and type dmesg, save the text and attach it here, I have a similar problem :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12882017
Thanks, I will do it and post the info asap.
one possible reason could be..
wifi.ko needs to insmod in the kernel mine was stuck coz of that.
did you used flashable zip to install kernel or manually did the editing.
please post your chargemon @ /system/bin/chargemon
+ logcat.

1. Are there step by step instructions somewhere?
2. Can I use a2sd with this kernel? Darktremor's.
3. If this kernel doesn't support a2sd, will there be a future one that does? A few weeks/month or 2?
4. If I need the specific firmware, is it in the zip package there? If not where to get it? Is it what typically comes on MK16i?
I damaged my SK17i physically and look to replace with MK16i if I can get mysame basic setup. Root and a2sd basically.
This worked very well on my MK16i with stock .58 ROM, thanks.
A bit curious to use the power button, whilst other recovery images use the volume down button, but I'm all happy.
//
Very glad I've found this, just installed it but having the power button as the trigger is a bit weird and very fiddly to the point where I haven't gotten it to work yet.
Also can I suggest that since the Pro is basically a big boys Neo V that we put all Pro related threads in the Neo V section until they finally decide to give us lot a section.

A bit difficult right now. Xperia Pro threads are distributed between many Xperia 2011 forums. I didn't noticed about this thread until someone referenced it, because I tought the Xperia Pro threads were on the Xperia Arc forum, where team FreeXperia posted the CM Rom for MK16a. I think this is the problem fo not having a device specific forum or sub-forum.
Also, all the MK16 owners, please vote for the MK16 to have it's own forum:

1. No step by step instructions for now, I think, but it is really easy : "fastboot flash boot boot.img" from a command prompt. You may have fastboot.exe and boot.img in the same folder. You can get fastboot.exe in the tools folder of the android sdk.
2,3. I think apps2sd is a feature introduced in 2.3 gingerbread. You can move applications to your sd card in Settings->Applications->Manage Applications->(Select your app)->Move to SD Card.
4. I think the stock SE ROM meets your requirements, but you can also try the FreeXperia Cyanogenmod based ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1315904
It's still on testing, but most features work. HDMI & FM Radio still don't work, and I think there are some problems with Bluetooth.

bro, i canot boot into recovery mode with the 'power button press during SE gets brighter'...any other tricks? is it a long press or short press? can u make a video for the shortcut process?

deng..i just found out actually to enter recovery mode is by pressing "Volume down" button when SE wordings tends to go bright, instead of 'Power' button. ("=_=)

Hi, for Feralab V20, 2 versions are available:
1) for LB (Locked bootloader esp those who are newbie and don't want to void their warranty)Everything is set if your phone is rooted Official 2.3.3Gingerbread, just flash the ROM via recovery. And Done, Enjoy
2)for UL (Unlocked Bootloader for intermediate and daring experienced flasher)Need more steps like unlocking bootloader, flashing kernels, wifi fixes)
ROM Link Here
If you're newcomer and not so used to XDA yet, i recommend you try locked bootloader version first.

Many features i coud'nt explained but these are best things in JAF ROM For more features, read this:

Good morning again,
I tested Ferav19 not 20 Locked (smooth and stable), but not JAF cos i kinda sticked to DonutHD ICS-ish look. LOL No Both Different ROM. you just have to choose one of them as your Custom ROM. Feravolt said before in the title, ''Just Another FeraLab Rom"
Hmm, i think you're confused before because of maybe seeing 3ROMs (ICS, FeralabV20, and JAF) combined somehow in thread

Seriously, which part is confusion?
For feralab v20:
Installation:
- Download Rom, Kernel and if you want Customization pack from HERE
***
UB For Unlocked bootloaders
LB For Locked bootloaders
Customization pack for both bootloaders
p.s.
Kernel for LB will be integrated with rom.
Kernel for UB have to be flashed through Flashtool and includes .71 Baseband
Kernels works fully only on v20 Rom..
if you want to use different kernel - don't forget to flash wifi modules)
***
- Format SYSTEM, CACHE, SD-EXT (If you have partition on SDcard (do it from CWM recovery))(and Format DATA if you want to clear your data)
- Mount SYSTEM, CACHE, DATA
- Install ROM
- After it boots first time, wait 2 min. and reboot
- After you configured ROM Wipe Cache and Dalvik-cache
- UB version users..flash this fix in xRecovery
The steps are so simple. This sentence "Customization pack for both bootloaders
" means that the customization pack is suitable for 1) locked bootloader x10 and 2) unlocked bootloader x10. That's why you would only see one download link for the customization pack.
Since you claimed that you are newbie, I recommend you to ignore the customization pack.
Just install the v20 rom, the rom itself is good enough. The customization pack is for advance player ( take it this way).
Regards

Original Non-Overclock value for x10i is 998MHz (~1GHz). If you see the value is higher than that, Yes it's overclocked. You can check by using apps like SetCPU or ROMToolbox to observe Kernel's overclock Value. And also set governor to optimize your performance/enhancing battery lifespan. All the Best

sooo... this is like the update we never got? is it smooth? daily driver? game compatibility like ics beta? Thanks for your work
@AudioCreaper
Yes, it looks like this.
2 days with this Rom and UI is very smooth, like GB.
For daily driver, if you're on locked bootloader, you will lose gamepad and you'll have little bugs ATM (automatic luminosity rates, camera inverted).
If Unlocked, go ICS beta kernel with wifi modules and everything will work, with gamepad support (the only thing that doesn't work is touchpad !)
Awesome. =)
edit: no touchpad support? so no minecraft? dang.

now we only need the proper kernel for our play's, hopefully some Kernel Expert, like DooMLoRD or KeiranFTW or nickholtus will make it. Just wondering if its possible to mix the xperia Neo L kernel mixed with the xperia play kernel, because the kernel on xperia Neo L is more recent.
Edit: damn this is smooth! best ics rom I used on my play
Mybe some1 ought to pm the kernel dev to make an advance stock kernel for this rom using this rom kernel source. Just saying...
Xperia PLAY and Xperia Neo L have the same specs. That's why this works, they just removed the gamepad...

You should be able to load up any ROM based on the ICS Beta (or final release from other ROMs)
xDark, ICS++, and KA14 should work just fine
EDIT: Is anyone else getting this error during step two?
10/003/2012 11:03:01 - ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="SECURITY_CLASS";ERR_STATIC="SIN_HEAD_VER";ERR_DYNAMIC="Failed to verify sin header";

Damn... sucks about the gamepad support, IMO the reason for owning this thing. Still, this is pretty awesome and at least we have the choice now. Thanks!
Definitely going to go the Nexus route next time, but that's not anyones fault but my own
If U want gamepad go on DooMKernel it works.

actualy the gamepad its implanted, the touchpad isn't, but you need a Xperia Play Kernel for the GamePag work
Will CDMA work?
That is, for locked? I know R800i ftf files will boot just fine on CDMA Plays, but what about the signal? Will I have to flash anything?

7)once installed, select install zip from sd card>choose zip>navigate to the folder where you put the 130mb zip file(ROM) and gapps zip>select gapps.zip>yes
8)once both are installed, return back to the main menu and select first option - reboot system
9)wait for system to boot, first will take some time say 5 minutes
10):good: WELCOME TO CM9 :good:
11)set up the phone and install titanium backup and restore your apps!!
12)enjoy the power of cm9!!
Step 5: NANDROID BACKUP
once you've settled with cm9(restored your apps with titanium) and everything seems normal,
1)go to cwm
2)select backup and restore>backup
3)your phone will be backed up within 20 minutes or less
4)once finished, reboot phone
your backup will be stored in "SD card/clockworkmod/backup/<date_and_time_of backup>"
please rename it for convenience say "fxp 214 cm9 (new)"
HOW TO RESTORE?
1)enter cwm
2)select backup and restore>restore>select folder name( eg: fxp 214 cm9 (new) )
3)this will usually take less time than backup
4)reboot phone to the same state at which it was backed up
THIS DOES NOT CHANGE THE KERNEL
to change kernels, you need to do it via flashtool or fastboot mode
fastboot mode?
while phone is in power off state, open USB cover , connect USB to pc but not to phone , press and hold menu button , connect USB to phone and the notification light should go blue , you can now leave the menu button you are now in fastboot mode.
to change kernel while in fastboot mode, open flashtool, click lightning icon>fastboot mode>ok>select kernel to flash>ok>bazinga!!!
UPGRADING?

I wont downshow ur effort...nor will dishearten you...thanks for the effort bro...but actually it is not needed.

To unisol107 and Aarush: Sorry to disagree with you, but this kind of tutorial is indeed necessary for noobs like me. It's hard to do all these procedures in the correct way and in the correct order by reading dozens of different threads and sites; it is hard to find out what kernel is compatible with this or that rom, what rom is bug-free, what kernel is bug-free, and many, many other important things like that. And many other tutorials are filled with a plethora of abbreviations that are way beyond my knowledge - only to list few obstacles!
The forum's moderators should, indeed, give congratulations to the_neo_v_guy for his effort, and even help him to improve some litle things to make this tutorial even better than it already is! (Some sort of a better text formating and layout fine-tunning would be nice, if possible).
Stick this toppic, by the way! And help the author to mantain it up to date!
(And sorry for my bad English)
(To the_neo_v_guy: Congratulations, man! Keep going on your good work of helping completely noob people like me!
nice job!!! very helpful for noobs!! keep it up!

I have some more questions...
My Xperia Neo V is a MT11i one (originally bought as a MT11a, but I change it to prevent some game incompatibility issues). These are its configurations:
- Stock ICS v 4.0.4 (version 4.1.B.0.431);
- Baseband with 72 in its last two digits;
- Kernel 2.6.32.9-perf [email protected]#9 (for 1.4 ghz overclock capabilities).
I am thinking about installing CianogenMod, but as I said before, I am a noob, and I don't have enough time (nor ninja discipline...) to read all 220 pages of this toppic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445844&page=220
So, I need help to find answers to these questions:
1 - Does FXP kernells allow overclock?
2 - Do I need to use only FXP kernells under CianogemMod roms, or can I use other Kernels?
3 - Are FXP132 versions of CM10 completely bug-free and fully operational in Xperia Neo V?
4 - If not, what is the newest version of Cianogen rom that is bug-free and fully operational for my Xperia Neo V, and what kernell can I use with it for best performance/overclock and/or battery-friendly use?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for my bad English.
