Tried both. V6 was the clear winner for me.
Tried both as well v6 supercharger stays on my phone.
V6 for ease of use and best compatibility.
Between the 2 choices, V6.
OK, I'll be the odd ball here. I prefer Speedy. FWIW

Honestly, I wouldn't even bother with it if you want a snappier experience. I've looked into it, but honestly, v6 supercharger works wonders. I would just use that. Are you asking because of the option in Rom Toolbox? That's where I've used it from / seen it. Depending on what ROM you have, v6 Supercharging is a breeze. A little more difficult with CM7, no init.c integration possible I don't believe, but still doable. Have fun!

What do you guys think the best ROM for the Atrix 4G is? I was using Neutrino 2.1p and then jumped on the ICS bandwagon with the ICS port (Its still in Alpha - heavily under development).
Neutrino has to be one of the best ROM's I've ever experienced. It's well maintained and has a host of performance improvements.
The ICS alpha is going well but its a long way away from matching the maturity of Neutrino.
Neutrino v2.2 with faux123 latest kernel at 1.45ghz ROCK solid performance.

Do you have it OC'd at 1.45? How's the stability? I used Neutrino GT OC'd at 1.3 and it was super stable.
i was almost on every rom and i still think that stock rom is the best...
maybe MIUI...when it'll come out on a full version and not alpha/beta.
If you can do without a camera the alpha 7 build (non 2d version) has been pretty solid
I have Arabic rom with Faux kernel 1.3 OC with full Ubuntu for Webtop and I am happy

CM7 (weekly builds have fingerprint unlock) is the best.

In my personal tests, Alien works the best for me. I tried CM7, did not like it whatsoever. Neutrino, surprisingly, wasn't giving me very good performance. All in all I think Alien in the best...if only it had stable HDMI mirroring...

Blur Roms
If you like all the functions of your Atrix working.
Wet Dream or The Dark Side are the best in my opinion.
Both are by the same dev and are fast and stable for me.
Right now I'm playing with cm9 kang until I need camera
Currently running Jokersax cm9 kang alpha 0.23.2

I'm currently using faux123's 023 kernel and I was wondering if there's a big difference between that and 024r? Thanks.
I'm a fan of MIUI, has a nice clean, finished look to it. However a little bit too iphoneish so I replace the launcher.
ICS rom is coming along very nicely, in fact I obtain the best battery life of any Atrix rom, including stock, while running ICS. This is fantastic since it's still just in the alpha stages and will only improve from here.

Could I suggest we make one of these threads/polls a sticky? The Atrix Dev forum seems to move very fast and would be good to have one thread for people to give their recommendations?
Neutrino 2.2 ftw btw
So I've been getting around to installing extra .zip updates. I've tried mashed up and the 8 point multitouch by moonshadow. I've been interested in getting the V6 (or V8) for my X2 on CM7. I've downloaded and installed both busybox and script manager. Busybox has been fine with no force closes but script manager on the other hand completely shuts down almost right away when launched. Plus on top of it, I don't know how to get/download the V6 script itself. If someone could please help me out and explain what I am doing wrong, I'd truely appreciate it. Thanks in advanced. Oh and I am proud to now be apart of the XDA forums. Love the droidforums app and droidxforums app. You guys are awesome and help out alot. Thanks alot and keep it up. Shout out to all the dev's making this possible too. You guys rock!

Dont worry about installing v6 supercharger, as its not needed and will decrease the preformance of your phone.
Script manager gives me issues as well with cm7. But as was said you don't need the v6 supercharger. Welcome to the forums

Cool, thanks for the fast responses. Well looks like I'll be uninstalling the script manager then. And no V6. Thanks again, feels good to be on the BEST forum IMHO. Got one more question if either of you two have flashed the mashed up rom or the 8 multitouch point fixer. Which one is better? I noticed the mashed said it would give better signal and all but I didn't see any difference. And I dont play much of any games on here so the 8 points is no biggie for me either. Thanks again in advance.

Oh was there a magical downloadable ram upgrade?
I don't NEED a ferrari but its effin nice to have.
Get latest Update 9 RC6.9
Put the script in the root of the sdcard.
Use terminal.
Type su and enter
sh /sdcard/V6* and enter
Enjoy the ride and say buh bye to your redraws.
Because it will be EFFIN FAST...
I have always used v6 on eclipse and other roms and really like it. However moon shadow was the tester for cm7 and he has said many times that v6 causes major issues. I run cm7 stock.
Don't get me wrong zep I love your work but before I try it on cm7 I would like someone to confirm it runs well with your new 6.9.
Well its been 24 hrs, 1000ish downloads and not a peep of a problem
I don't think he has tried any recent version... now that U9RC6.9 is up I'll nag him to try lol
Zep I almost went back to eclipse so I could try your new version 6.9 I already have it downloaded and saved to my SD card. I always go from cm7 and eclipse I will be using it for sure at some point. Thanks for all your work.

peoples posts have been miss read brotha lol
what they mean is that v6supercharger is not needed really on the x2 running cm7...
it's not like it's an official cm7 soo there are things about it that could be causing issues that have been mentioned.
on the other hand, I am on eclipse, I like to set my minfree myself so I edit the init.d script that nitro includes and use v6supercharger for all my needs PLUS the nitro lag nullifier and detailing...and it works GREAT.
it is also AWESOME if running stock rooted x2...
but with our cm7 there have been lots of complaints of lag when using v6supercharger but I don't think it's because v6supercharger itself is "useless" but more that our cm7 build just doesn't work all that well along with it...

I actually downloaded CM7 to see what tweaks there are but there's no special tweaks in init.d to interfere with.
My guess is that it wasn't liking the older adj/group limits.
Moon Shadow said he would test the newest 6.9 on Monday anyway.
Have you updated yet?

I, couldn't remember if I tried that one yet or not lmao
I usually keep the scripts on my sdcard that I use, but I formatted my sdcard and couldn't remember if I tried it yet...I might have . it should be fine, but when I saw "I/O bug fixes" in change log I decided to hold off til I have time to mess around if something DID go wrong lol...
well if I'm right, my "RAM" is better than yours LOL
So the new update u can use on cm7 for sure and wont cause issues?

I doubt there would be a problem.
It's easy enough to unsupercharge anyway.

Zep, you might remember me or not but I used your supercharger and tweaks when I was on Stock Rooted 2.3.4 but then Cm7 came along (can't thank you enough DZK) and word was it wasn't needed and could actually cause problems. After reading the posts and you taking the time to stop by and give you're input...well that's good enough for me and I'll be giving it try this evening. Need to restore my build.prop to stock CM7 1st and nand of course but will let you know how it goes.
And as always thanks for all your hard work.
Currently on CM7 with stock CM7 build.prop, Installed V6 Update9_RC6.9 with options enabled for local.prop, system integration and animation. Rebooted after allowing cleanup by V6 without incident. No hangs or boot loops other than the longer boot time because of the dalvik wipe.
So far have used options 6,7 & 9 with no problems. Using Quadrant, Smartbench 2012 and Lindpak all show improvements over non supercharged cm7, Quadrant being the most notable with about an average 500 point increase. I've had no force closes, video play black, music and browsing are all ok with some "jerkiness" in Dolphine HD when using option 9. 3g speeds using Speedtest averaged 2500kbps down/925kbps up. Also played Shadowgun with no problems but then I had no problems playing it before V6.
I wish I knew how to be a better tester but I can for sure say it doesn't crash the phone and other than what I noted for option 9 nothing negative.
For anyone with an X2 running CM7 I'd say give it a try and I'll be very interested to hear what the folks of this forum that are smarter than me (which is pretty much everyone...lol) think after testing it out... Keep up the good work Zep!!!

I have been playing around with a lot of custom roms. I probably liked MIUI or CM7 nightlies the best but neither of them supported webtop. I went back to Aura to get a web2sd running XFCE4 for me. THe problem is that the last Aura rom runs 2.3.4 and after using CM7 this seems painfully outdated. Any suggestions for the best of both worlds?

Gingermod, epsilon or nottachtrix
Hello, I had been using Gingermod for a while and it's based on 2.3.6 the only thing that I modified is the kernel using faux's kernel!
I'll give gingermod a shot.
Ubuntu was an OK solution. It was a bit laggy and annoying to use. I couldn't get web2sd to work on noattach and my battery life wasn't great on it, but I was using a 1.3ghz kernal

Webtop on nottach's rom is the same as in a stock 2.3.6, I have not detected any difference at all between them in that respect. You might have needed to upgrade the osh to 2.3.6 if you had not done so.
It is possible that the webtop2sd script relies on something that is not the same in those (I do assume the webtop2sd works on 2.3.6). You might try asking that question over there (or on nottach's website).
If the vnc app runnimg on a mirrored dock in CM9 did not look like garbage I would consider switching over to that. But for now I will stick to nottach's, and webtop is most of my concern.

and change permission of busybox
it will work perfect after that
