[Q] Camera Opens On Start - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Each time I turn on the Prime the rear camera turns on. I had not been using it prior to the unit shutting down. I have made sure the camera is not running when the unit is turning off but it still does this. Any ideas?

the lockscreen now has a function if u swipe to the left it opens camera.
Swipe right to unlock

When in the camera, phone freezes.

When I am taking pictures our videos, once in a while it freezes.
The camera still shows everything, but the buttom buttons are unresponsive. I am forced to pull out the battery to fix it
I am using the Captivate's camera with true stock's rom.
Anybody else having problems like this?

It's the screen lock. Same style thing happens with the video player. Next time hit the lock button. That should wake your buttons back up.

Screen off and lock.

I have the app called 'Screen off and lock' which when used makes the screen act like an old tv turning off
Is there a way to link the action to the power button?

I use this as well ,, Don't think it can be done but the idea of the app is so you do not have to use the power button and saves wear and tear on the button so they say
If you have tasker, do what i do.
Set an action where the app "screen off and lock" would be linked with the proximity sensor.
That way, all you have to do is swipe your fingers accross the proximity sensor, and your device's screen should turn off where its visually appealing + you don't have to press the power button anymore. Might be irritating if you were to accidently do it though.
You could set it to run when you turn your device upside down via tasker as well. Tasker is just THAT amazing!
trying it out know.will let u know how it turns out.

[Q] Using touchpad to wake screen when docked and locked?

Is there any way to get the Screen to light up, when the screen is locked and dark and then I provide some mouse/keyboard/touchpad input. I am a laptop user for 11 years or so, and it's just second nature at this point to touch the touchpad to get the screen to light up so you can enter a password. I end up having to take my hand off the keypad and hit the button on the top edge to wake my prime up. It's a minor annoyance at best, but it just seems like something this should just have. I tried the screen brightness keys on the top row with no luck. Thanks for the help.

It should be under Asus custom settings in the Settings menu.

Yep once you disable the dock battery saving in the Asus settings, and then you can touch any keys/touched and it will wake the device up.

That did the trick. Thanks applied!

Screen awakening from sleep..

If i have my phone in sleep mode, and pass my hand across the screen without touching it - it awakens to the lock-screen sometimes.
Is this usual behaviour? Is there a setting to stop this, or is the phone extremely sensitive?
Thanks.

Touching the screen shouldn't wake up the phone, even if you intentionally touches it.
Maybe you have some proximity sensor controled apps running, don't you ?
Do this test: Try to swipe your hand across the screen, far away from the proximity sensor and see if this happens.
If not, now try the opposite.
Does it take a screen shot when this happens?

if you mean that screen automatically turns on without doing anything, then it refers to a recent buggy installed app.
Could be caused by apps that you installed. Try identify the apps 1st.

I find this when there is a strong breeze across the phone...
Read this somewhere it seems it maybe to do with static discharge. Dunno how true it is it doesn't happen to me. Are you Raiden by any chance?

[Q] Force Disable Rotation-Lock?

Ok... So, is there anyway to force rotation-lock to turn off on a Nexus 7 with Android 4.2.2?
Reason: I cracked my screen from the bottom left of the screen to just shy of the top right corner. The lower section, below the crack, is not responsive to touch... and the dots I need (I use the pattern pass) are on this side because I can't flip the tablet.
How This Happened: I turned on rotation lock with the tablet upside down to keep it there... But then my Nexus 7 decided to restart randomly and keep rotation-lock on but coming back in the default orientation, aka the wrong way that I need it to be.
So, can anyone help?
Depends, are you rooted? Do you have adb access currently?
