I don't have a picture but I saw guy who had a dock with words instead of icons I really liked the look. Does anyone know what it might have been?
Thanks.

It might have been me. I use the tall min icons found in the. Android themes forum. To apply them, select custom icon option in launcher pro and select which one you want to use.

Thanks for all your assistance.
NOT THE WIDGET!
HTC's clock app after the 2.1 OTA had it all: World Clock, Alarm Clock, Timer, Stopwatch, Deskclock with nightime mode.
after tons of searching i have found no clock apps that have this much functionality. anyone know of one?
Note: I'm running KaosFroyo if that matters. well, that its Kaos probably doesnt matter, but that i'm running Froyo probably does...maybe. i dont know.
You might want to check out "Beautiful Widgets."

That isn't helpful. I very clearly stated not the widget. In fact I already use beautiful widgets. Im looking for a clock app...

Yes, you did clearly state "not the widget". My point is/was that on a Froyo ROM I use tapping the BeautifulWidget clock widget gets me reasonable access to clock funtionality I use. My apologies for trying to help.
Well the clock from 2.1 ota was part of sense UI, I thought. Unfortunately our froyo roms can't incorporate that yet. You could aways flash back to a 2.1 rom if you wanted/needed it that bad, or just wait n see if 2.2 gets some sense soon lol.

Its just annoying needing 3 apps to do the job of one. I can live with it, i just thought maybe simeone had come across one.
Didn't mean to snap before. Rough week. Shouldn't have taken it out on you.

I seen someone with a vibrant who had their top right clock completely removed. Since I use a clock widget, I have no need for two clocks on the same screen. Can someone show me how to do it?

unless you know how to write .xml's or edit .dex files, you are out of luck. i did a search for a transparent clock for the Vibrant but found nothing. the only other thing i could think of would be to apply this morph: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=809521 and then use a black wallpaper, so the clock would just blend in
(If you dont like the other parts of that theme, i could help you edit it)
Thanks for the quick reply.

perfect!!!
Services.jar is where the clock settings can be found. I haven't removed the clock before, but I have changed its color a few times. There have been writeups out there for exactly how to do it, but unfortunately, most of them seem to now have broken links.
Also, services.jar packages are somewhat rom specific, so you're probably going to have to do the modifications yourself or find some nice themer to do it for you.
Edit:

I just created a thread for this like 2 days ago. It had a link and pictures fire three .jar file you want. It's also in the development section if you'd rather just go there.

I have never understood the craze about giant clock widgets. It seems to me that if there is already a perfectly working clock in your status bar, you would not need to have a huge widget taking up half your screen to have the same function. It would be like having a gigantic 4x4 gmail icon when right next to it you have a normal gmail shortcut in your launcher.
For me, it's a decorative piece on the board. Even though it does take up a fourth of the screen, there's really nothing that it's covering, except the background, and that's already covered up to an extent by the calendar widget. It also acts as a shortcut to the alarm clock, which is really handy.
Big clock is for when your on the the homescreen, and little on is when you're in apps. That's how it is for me
I also have nothing better to put there, and and I don't want my phone to look like an IPhone

Probably the same reason you have android for customization ....in that case why have a android? It makes calls .just get a old flip phone it makes calls.too.
i like the simple clean looking clock - similar to an ics style
dont like huge weather or clocks as i like to see the wallpaper behind
1) i hide my status bar (coz i can), so it helps having clock and date there instantaneously. A little needless i agree but what the hay
2) it looks nice and adds something to my desktop

I guess that I have never understood it either, but that's why android is customizable. Everyone can have exactly what they like and need on their phone!

It is. A agenda widget is way more useful. Also power widget (if you dont have it in the statusbar) is necessary. The power widget alone makes my friends regret they bought iPhones.
Ps: I still use the useless clock widget. Allways

There's a thread regarding Gapps 4.2 and stuff from Nexus 4 dump which contains almost all goodies including wallpapers, sounds, apps etc but I can't find new Digital Clock Widget in it although it has new analogue clock widget included but not the digital one, can anyone help in this regard that where we can find that new sexy looking digital clock widget, thanks!

I tried 3 apks of this clock, and the one that didn't work was yours. though none had digital clock widet
would love this too
The APK from the 4.2 system dump didn't have the full features, but now the version from AOSP does have the digital clock widget option. I attached the AOSP version here.
However, I get an error message when trying to use the digital widget. The analog widget works fine, and the clock/timer/stopwatch features also work fine. Just can't use the one feature you are looking to use I am still on JB 4.1.2, so maybe that is the problem?
If anyone on 4.2 can confirm that this APK works for the digital widget, that would be great. Or people on other versions of JB/ICS can try and see if they get the same results.

I get exactly the same here. Everything works fine, except for the digital widget. Another confusing thing is the widget is 2x3 sized

Hmm, that is frustrating. And I agree it is confusing about the 2x3 widget size, strange decision by Google.
Are you running 4.2 and getting that error, or are you also on a lower version like me?
@ecs1984, it's 4.1.2, aokp. i've already tried the 4.2 launcher, it doesn't change anything, error loading widget:crying:

sorry, double post; wasn't my intention.
Damn, looks nice. Thanks for the link!
if anybody is interested, i adjusted the uccw skin to make it more suitable for 2x1 and added hotspot to open clock on tap here is the link: http://db.tt/pMqnLK6n
I've added the date line and made slight font and alignment adjustments to closer resemble the original widget.
I've also added a hotspot over the date which should launch the calendar but you may have to change that if you're not running CM 10 since the calendar app name can differ between ROMs.
Here's the download link.
EDIT: Found this app.
