Just a quick post to see if anyone tried the new stock update from Verizon for the SCH-I905, LTE version? 3.2, EL01 update. Kind of reminds me of the touchwiz ui. Not too bad so far, just got my tab back from Samsung, fixed my Newton ring issues(replaced screen).

My guess is this is likely for the international version. For the ATT version I would suggest ICS will take 2-3 more months to arrive. ATT does not know the meaning of moving quickly.
Idk Samsung pushing for a global simultaneous release for the gs3 so heres hoping the lag between updates is only a few weeks

akjdhflskdjlskdjfls i want it asap!!!
I think we have to hope for CM9, tbh. Samsung is definitely making good progress on ICS for international Note and GS2, but these devices (AT&T Note and Skyrocket) are both gated by AT&T, and running completely different hardware. I had an Infuse for a while, which got gingerbread from AT&T at the end of January. Hopefully that is not indicative of the delay we'll see for ICS on the Note, but I'm not holding my breath--I have literally no faith in AT&T's ability to deliver updates in a timely manner.
Like Dave said, it's probably for the international version. Although my guess would be that you might be able to upgrade it anyway

That won't happen.. they have to clear the firmware through att first and I guarantee att doesn't even have it yet so a few months after they get it is what you should count on.

International Note =/= AT&T Note.
We will get ICS later down the road.
If you read it on the internet it has to be true

I am interested in trading my nexus for an unlocked note. I plan on using T-mobiles 4g on the note. The GPS is horrible on my nexus and the reason Im trading for the note is because I've read that it is great with gps. That's pretty much the only reason. What are your opinions, how is GPS on ur note? Let me know everything that u think. And I do plan on rooting the note.
Edit : I plan on running cm7 due to the responses here. I've read that it does great when it comes to GPS but I understand that its a hit or miss when it comes to GPS

GPS is hit or miss. Why not keep the nexus also? I'm starting to consider getting a gnex for when I don't want to lug this thing around, plus the updates. I've had this phone since release and have been waiting for ics for the source for the kernel got over clock and find myself waiting for jb ports now. GPS with ics radios is so so.

After the ICS update I can't get a hard lock without wifi on... Really sucks and there are a few more peeps with the same issue. It definitely was a winner with GB, but with ICS it's not (though I'm running stock ICS). If the price is right I say go for it, maybe you'll have better luck with Tmob 4G than I'm having with ATT LTE.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this, there are several of us who would be greatly appreciative.

Hi Everyone,
For the last few weeks I was using Galaxy S3 3g (I9300) and I really liked this phone. Couple of days ago I was given the 4g version of the same phone. It is obviously faster as long as data transfer is concerned, but to my surprise, there are also differences in how the customizing of the home screens works.
In the new phone I can't just hold an icon and move it somwhere. In order to do it I have to select Edit from context menu first. Also when I move icons across pages I can only go right (!).
Both phones are on unmodified stock ROMs, android 4.1.2.
Is there a way to enable in 4g phone the same way the home screen is handled in the 3g version?
Cheers,
Tom

Im new to XDA but not to my android phones. I recently traded a friend my AT&T Galaxy s3 for their Verizon Note 2. Knowing it can be used on ATT , I thought it was a great trade. Since, I've unlocked and rooted my phone and tried many different roms for my i605 and every rom seems to have a similar issue. It adds a plus + or +1 on all incoming calls and text. It's a real nusance and I realize its because it thinks im using it internationally. I have it in GSM mode. Ive also tried the prefixer app and it only partially fixed the issue. I have tried the moon rom v5 and I think it had the fix but the rom constantly crashed and was unusable. That rom was ported from the International version of the Note 2. My question is, what rom has that fix, can I use an AT&T or an international note 2 rom or any clue on how the remove the international prefix from the phone? I love the phone but I can't afford to replace it right now. I hope this isn't a redundant post but im sure im not the only one with this question.
Im actually on Straight Talk (AT&T) if that matters.

Has anyone else gotten a 20.33MB software notification yet? I have tried Google and nothing shows up. I haven't accepted it yet as I had rooted it and then unrooted it and was just wondering if anybody knows what is in it? I am wondering if it is the software upgrade that enables the tri band Sparke data connections. Thanks. Going to bed and will put it on PC and dissect it tomorrow if someone doesn't do it tonight.
Save that firmeare update and post link to it I might get that and restore the screwed up stock rom smile
