+1.74893062481 this. And common sense when it comes to apps. No need for anti-virus or similar whatsoever.

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for the best anti theft app for the Atrix. I've seen many posts about this but none of them gave enough information. Which one has a web interface with user and password not just using SMS? Does it work outside the US?
Regards
Prey is a good one. I'm using it now.
hmm anti-theft I serious doubt that there is a app that is truly anti-theft since this is a phone after all..best any app can do is aid in the recovery of a stolen device if Im incorrect please enlighten me on how a app can stop someone from phone jacking you

Why not do the easy thing and secure it with the software provided.
1) Use the fingerprint scanner
2) create a ridiculously long and hard to remember pin that only you know and is so damn hard to remember that even you might forget it.
3) Turn on your GPS and use the Motoblur tracking software (works like MobileME and always tracks me within a few feet.
Those three items alone will make your phone impossible to get into, and make it easy as hell to find it if it is stolen.
I'll try Prey and of course secure the phone. The thing is that i can't use motoblur tracking cause i freezed it. I cant stand MotoBlur!
Thanks!

Unfreeze motoblur, do not use the accounts feature (social networks and what not) remove all the widgets and change the wallpaper to pure black. This way you can keep the motoblur active while using a different home launcher and still get the benefits.
Hi all,
I've written my first free app and I'm looking for a good ad network for banners and interstitials. My app is an educational app for people who want to learn Spanish so I'd prefer relevant ads, if possible (e.g. Mexico travel). Otherwise I'll take whatever is converting these days.
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance,
Barry
Has anyone had luck with Airpush?

While some use it alot of people hate airpush and use apps to detect if it is there and then remove the apps that have it. Just an FYI.

I was going to use them for interstitials, not air-push ads. However after I signed up I found out interstitials are "coming soon"
Gonna use MoPub instead, if I can ever get it working...
One of the networks that i am using is adiquity & they proposed me a solution where they will provide the infrastructure for direct sales ads...i have not tried it but you may want to explore it its free...
Hi, I'm looking for a lock app for my phone and this one seems to be the best, ton of useful features, and i have installed and used it before and loved it.
However upon reviewing the permissions, i've gotten a bit cautious. It has quite a few permissions which seem shady, any i'm aware that as it locks any app you choose it may need to access certain permissions, without these permissions it may not be able to lock a specific app but some of the permissions seem off.
It does have between 1 - 5 million downloads, and every review, including my personal opinion, seems to be positive but the permissions seem odd.
I've emailed the dev to see what he says, but i'd like some second opinions
Smart App Protector - Google Play Page
is it safe?
For me several permissions make no sense (why this app need access to my sms, personal info or the phone dialer?).
If the developer answers your email, please let us know
I use this app, that does basically the same thing and doesn't require a lot of permissions:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.domobile.applock
I've actually used this app myself (great one btw ) and I was cautious at first about the Permissions but then I figured that it probably needed them for example;
One of the Permissions is "Read SMS".
It probably needs this to be able to kick into action if somebody (or you) open the app. If it didn't have that permission then I'd presume it'd just let you in to the app. Even if you told it to ask for a password.
Just my two cents. I'm not certain about this but, thats what I figured...

I agree but something like permission to make phone calls strikes me as odd, that shouldn't be necessary to bar access to the phone app. Also App Lock doesn't require this permission
BUMP, really need help with this
If anyone else is interested, i got a reply from the dev (he's korean)
Hello,
First of all, Protector has many permission, so I can't explain all.
And Free version has Advertisement,(so it has Call permission) so It has permission more than Pro version.
I hope that you believe my Protector.
Thanks.
PS. Sorry for my English.

I'm going to use another app to block the permissions that seem odd and see if the app can still do it's job. I'll report back to say how it goes. I'm sure someone might use this in the future.
I'm using this app in pro too and wondered about the permissions... I've not had any issues so far but am interested in what you find..

I got this further reply.
Hello,
There are no unnecessary permissions. all permission is needed for Advertisement and features.
(but Call permission isn't used but it is needed for Ad SDK default permission - Ad SDK is other company library)
Thanks.

I trust it enough to use it, but am going to block some of the more curious permissions with this app.
If, after millions of downloads, it stays up and has decent reviews, I would trust it.
As title asks - is there any good Skype clients out there? The official one is preposterously bad and one of the few I can find that actually does Skype is IM+ but that one isn't too minimalistic either.
Is there any good ones that I don't know about?
IM+
I use IM+ for Skype

Looks like you dont need video-calls support, right? I used IMO in the past.
Its a very good app, simple, clean and works with many services, even steam

Ye, I've been around IMO. I didn't really like the UI last time I used it but judging from screenshots it seems ok now. Sadly it also seems like Skype is no longer supported?
Boy, I missed the days when MSN/WLM got used. It was so much more flawless than Skype is an non of this "only possible to use official client" BS.. Sigh
Is there any good skype client now?
Hello everyone!
I need your help! Recently the company that I work for decided to force us to use the Intelligent Hub app on our smartphone devices. The think with this awful app is that not only it is slow but also it asks for device administrator rights something that really bugs me.
Is there any way I can bypass this and make the app think that it has administration rights although it does not?
Maybe with a magisk module or something?
Thanks in advance.
Have a nice day everyone!

I'm also interested to find a solution for it. Did you find a solution for it?
No there isn't. If there was then the app wouldn't serve a purpose now would it.

Get a non-smartphone, problem solved!
Seriously though, Xposed Framework with XPrivacy might be able to do it. EDIT: The old one, not XPrivacyLua, is better if you can run it. It allowed you to do really stupid stuff that can break everything, which in this case is probably what you need.
If it was me, I would tell them to give me a phone and cell plan just for work and put it on there. I wouldn't particularly care about them having access, it's the principle of the thing.
I am currently wondering this too.
