i'm sure there is a thread that has my specific problem here somewhere and i deeply apologize. if there is one please direct me to it.
i got my atrix rooted and was looking for a way to revert it back to stock.
i was using rsd lite 5.3.1 and an sbf 1.5.2 i believe and now all i get is a brief screen and then it goes blank. the screen says:
svf:105:1:2
failed to boot 0x1000
then it starts to flash a third line of text but the whole screen goes blank immediately. if anyone has any ideas. i bought it from a private party so i'm not sure if i could get it warranted...
any help or direction would be great.
just for additional info, my battery was charged prior to this happening (92%)
Read this
thanks. i actually just stumbled across that thread like 30 seconds ago. hope i can fix it. =/
Actually, if it shows starting RSD protocol or something to that effect, it can still be fixed.
If it shows nvflash than currently no, it cannot be fixed
i'm actually not sure what the third line of text is.
this is actually exactly what it does:
http ://youtu .be/ 3fwcoin3c_I
i'm not allowed to post links yet so i had to space it out.
Ah... It says entering Nvflash recovery mode. Sorry, it cannot be fixed. I feel for you, but one of the main 'rules' while using the atrix is to never flash a FroYo sbf over a Gingerbread one.
He didn't flash froyo he flashed the version before froyo. And yes your phone is officially a paperweight.

I just recently did this and my heart sank. I kept trying thou and found a way out. I held down the power button and the volume up key while placing the battery in. It gave me the following message.
SVF:105:1:2
Failed to boot 0x1000
PwrReason: PWR_KEY_PRESS
Starting Fastboot protocol support.
From here I was able to fastboot and unlock the phone and install the CWM recovery. I did fastboot reboot at the end and now I have a functional phone again . Useful information
Also, sorry for digging up an old thread, but it's one of the first ones that google pulls up when you look up that error code.
please help, same issue
Hi
I recently did the same thing, however I used 2.3.6 4.5.141 sbf to flash my currently 2.3.6. 4.5.1.45 . There was a problem with a font installer i and this this turned out to be my last restort. RSD Lite failed, twice o nthe 100% completion, something to do with failed to enter BP mode. Note that, on normal power on i am getting failed to boot 1.
Power + Vol Down
entering nvflash recovery, cuts off
After a full night charge, same thing but says battery too low in ddition.
Power + Vol Up
failed to boot 1,
power reason :charger ;
Starting fastboot protol support
Battery too low
prior to allow this battery low issues, when i did the power + vol up and used fastboot, i was abel to run fastboot commands, but was not able to do anythin successufly, example, i got device ID, but erase failed, even oem unlock. I believe the bootloader is still locked due to the update i received 4.5.145. Device is rooted.
Note i had unlocked and rooted and used all sorts of roms before, then reverted back to stock to simply get the 4.5.145 update, then re root.
I really need some assistance, anyone.

I was able to get rid of the "battery too low" message by popping my battery out, cutting up a usb cable, and then plugging the cable into a usb charger ac adapter. The two cables I needed were red and black. Red went on positive lead. Black went on negative lead. I had to let it charge for at least a few hours. This is kind of dangerous and can cause a fire. Don't leave it unattended. Make sure the battery never gets hot. Mine never even got warm. I used three pieces of tape to secure the cable to the battery. I used scissors to cut the tape. One large piece of tape to hold the majority of the cable. One small piece of tape to hold the two shielded red and black wires in place, and another small piece of tape on the end to hold the wires onto the leads. Be careful not to let the wires cross over onto the any of the other leads.
But now I'm stuck. If I hold vol down, it will say "booting into nvflash recover mode" and then quickly go black. The led light goes off also. It's very quick...maybe half a second. I had to take a picture of it in order to be able to read what it says. If I hold vol up it will go to fastboot. If I press nothing it says "failed to boot 1". I can't go to rsd protocol or do anything else.
once bricked phone no longer charges battery you must buy a wall battery charger or a 5 wire usb cable. I bought the wall charger and extra battery for 15 bucks off ebay. battery must be fully charged before unbricking your phone. you need to flash the proper pudding files for the version you are running. i used xatrixweb.webs.com to fix my bricked phone worked great

worked very well for me once i used a full battery. and had to read up his instructions forgot to mention fail to boot XXXX automaticly puts phone in a rsd protocal state after 5 seconds if you dont touch it i beleive it was step 2 where he said to select rsd but phone would read fail to boot just run rsd there and after phone boots with stock software.

Holy ****! Thank you so much.
Hey guys, I recently found an alternative way to fix the low battery problem when your in AP Fastboot and able to get it to charge without the soldering of usb cable or the factory cable. So for those who do not want to open up their razrs or pay 40 bucks for a cable use my method.
-Make sure you have the charging cable connected to the phone and the cable to an outlet not an computer.
-While in the ap fastboot screen with the low battery problem, just push & hold Vol - and Vol+ and power buttons at the same time for 10 seconds
-Then IMMEDIATELY press and hold Vol - and Vol+ for 10 seconds to get back to the boot menu.
-Then once in the boot menu go down the the one option that has the word tools on it which is the last one.
-If it does not do anything just press volume up or down and go back to the tools and click power (enter) again.
-Then you should be boot to the M logo.
-Then after a bit you will be presented to an battery icon charging your phone!
-After a good charge up to 50% or so download the program called
New Link
http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/2248-droid-razr-utility-16-contains-612181-fastboot-files/
-Download that program and make sure your phone is back in AP fastboot and your battery should say OK meaning you can now program again.
-From there run the Droid RAZR Utility you just download it and choose option 1 and let it do its thing.
-Once done you should have the original stock rom and if you had root you must re-root it.
-Please message back for any questions! I am happy to help because I know how frustrating this is!

This really works for corrupted systems after a flash failure without a working fastboot?

Great Job! Only wish that I knew about this 3 weeks ago! I took the back off and ended up glueing it back on and did a warranty exchange. I hope they don't say anything!!!
Again Great Job!!!!

As long as once it is plugged in and the screen comes up in the AP Fastboot it will work. Just hold power plues volume up and down then once that turns off immediatley press the volume up and down and it will boot you right to the boot menu. But just wondering what shows up for you if it is not the fastboot?
I can't get it to work, after I select BP Tools, it flashes the Motorola Logo and goes back to the AP Fastboot screen again. I don't think it works if you formatted \System.

exactly. for those that got cut off as the phone was in the process of flashing, i dont think it will boot to any phone charging icon because there's no software on the device. I've been trying for a week now

Definitely didn't work. When that m logo comes up, it disappears and the screen goes off. The charging icon does not show.
Sorry for the late reply but it is good to hear this method to work for jaredakelly . For those who are having problems did you have the phone charging in the wall outlet and not on a computer usb? The best steps is to choose the the tools option then just let the phone boot to the m logo then just leave it there on the wall outlet. Make sure you are using the Motorola usb cable that came with your phone and its usb adaptor that might make a difference.
I just tried this tut and it works as far as I can tell I am at the screen for battery charging but there is a big "?" in the center, the phone doesnt know what level its at lol..
I suggest you space out and make your original steps in bigger and bolder text for the specific buttons because I almost missed the power + vol down + vol up and was just pressing the volume buttons
This thread should be stickied!
Yeah sorry if my instructions were not to clear this is my first time posting anything like this on this site, but I am glad to hear it is working for you too. I don't even have this phone lol , it was my friend's and he had it stuck on the fastboot so I messed around with it and in the end this was the result.
yep
i think my battery is too low to attempt this i got it on 3 times and tried to fastboot restore but battery kept dying before completion so i guess im just screwed
no you should be fine because as long as the power cable is still plugged in it should work regardless of the low battery level. I did this on my friend's phone with 0% battery.

Not a very good success rate for being on the front page. I'm going to try it later, though I think that I tried something like this before and it didn't work. I know that I have read this somewhere else.
I tried downloading the new 4.0.4 leak and it didn't work :/
But anyway i set my phone back to original stock and my battery must have died.
So now my phone is doing something weird. I go to turn it on and it wont go past the M logo.
When I plug it into the charger it still wont go past the M logo, nor does it charge my battery. I can't plug it into the computer because the phone is so dead that it gives me "the white light"
I can't send my phone in because I rooted it and they won't do anything..
Please help!
Try following Steps:
Boot in AP Fastboot > Connect your Wall Charger > Press Power
If you're an lucky Guy, your RazR will pass the red M and jump into the Battery Screen.
If your system is broken, you have to order an Factory Cable. With this you can flash the correct system signed or use the modded Utility for CDMA Leaks, to get your Phone back to life.
Wish you luck dude.

Hi! Can someone guide me into removing or getting access to the battery of this unit. I think the kernel is corrupted coz I think I flashed the wrong one. The battery drained out. So without a working kernel, I cant charge the phone. Even in USB to PC or directly to wall charger. I want to re-insert t the battery to see if that fixes the issue.
Can someone tell me if removing the battery then plugging in the usb without the battery if I can enter flash mode or flash boot to be able to flash the correct kernel or go back to stok room for the phone? Would that work?
Or I just need to reinsert the battery then try to enter flash mode?
SITUATION:
- cant enter flash mode or fast boot.
- can hard reset (Power + volume+)
- Cant turn on the phone
-just red led when plugged in then disapperas after a few minutes (not charging)
- the phone never got wet or never been dropped. (so im hoping this is a software issue)
- phone is rooted, unlocked BL with CWM.
-started when I flashed a flshable version of CWM touch version to upgrade from version 5 to 6.
Help please. Im thinking of opening the phone to access the battery.
The idea of removing non-removable battery is not the best one, unless you really know what are you doing - and i don't think you know it.
And i think this won't help you, really not.

You can hard reset - but battery is drained?
Once, i had problem like this one, but i managed to get into fastboot and re-flashed right kernel.
What were you exactly doing? Rooted and BL unlocked Go? What and how were you flashing (which rom and kernel were you flashing)?

sorry just a typo error, i mean i cant hard reset. I know how to access an embedded bat, tried it before with Xperia S. but I was hoping if can flash without doing that anymore?
Managed to disconnect and reconnect the battery; however I still cant turn it on, or even hard reset, or flash mode or fast boot. Crappppp! help. What can I do to bring this phone's life back. I flashed an update for CWM on recovery. Thats when this problem started.

Hi, i am having the same problem. I flashed the kernel for another model out of noobness. So removing the battery did not help at all?
OMG right as i was typing this, the rubber band trick worked and i accessed fastboot and flashed another kernel. It wont start for now, but maybe the battery needs to be charged for a while (red led). In case you dont know (if you still have this problem), i will explain what i did (the computer just detected the device, so i think im in the clear):
1) get a rubber band and put it around vol up button (this is for fastboot; for flash it would be vol down)
2) plug the phone to your computer
3) get the fastboot.exe file (google)
4) put the correct boot.img file (or kernel, i flashed the wron boot.img, so i did it this way. I dont know what the difference is) in the same folder as fastboot.exe
4) open command prompt, go to the fastboot folder (look up commands)
5) type in "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
6) the cmd will say "waiting for device..."
leave it like that; i got purple (i guess blue plus red) led after awhile and fastboot flashed the kernel.
I will keep you informed on success or failure.
EDIT
It worked, i have a running phone.
Hey! Thanks for the post and reply, would have done that. However, i sent my phone to a repair center, and they havent got bakc at me until now, its been 3 weeks.
Was your phone unable to go fastboot and flashmode too before? And when you charge it red led appears then goes away after a few minutes? My PC cant recognize the phone, the only indicator i had was the red led when plugged in which goes away after a couple of minutes.
How long did it take for the phone to enter fastboot? Coz, I've tried holding the button (Vol+) for almost 5 minutes and nothing happens.
Can you provide me the exact situation you had? and the clear cut steps you took to fix it? Especially how many minutes for it to go to fastboot with the rubber band on?
TIA!
@ madismet
your rubber band technique actually worked!! thanks a lot!
I was just about to give up on my xperia go, when I came across your post...
thanks!! :good:

Hey guys,
I had purchased this phone awhile back in 2012 and The model is: XT912. I had rooted it and installed a Custom Rom (Black Widow). The reason why I stopped using it was because I had a cracked screen so I upgraded to a different phone but having alot of issues with my new phone. So I decided to replace my screen for my Droid Razr, but its been awhile since i've used it and been experiencing issues of my phone not booting up and looked online for multiple solutions but no luck.
Issues are:
- Phone needs a USB Wall Charger to be able to be turned on, battery is charged fully but when I unplug my USB Charger, my phone turns off. When I try to attempt to do a fastboot session, I connect my Stock Motorola USB Cable to my PC and on my phone, it shows a white light. But when plugged in to a wall charger, my phone boots up but doesn't boot anywhere besides the motorola logo.
- My phone boots up, shows the motorola logo and goes straight to battery charge and it shows 0% then 5% then 100% sits there for about 3 minutes and then reboots.
- When trying to go into recovery, it stays on the motorola and i've left it there for 24 hours abd no luck.
I've tried multiple things, but its been very aggravating since I've been trying to look up solutions for the past week but still had no luck.
Please help =(

The white light means that your battery is empty, try this:
Booting from AP fastboot to charging mode
If the Device will only boot to AP Fastboot and it says Battery Low
Connect the phone/Device ato a Wall Charger (not PC)
-In AP Fastboot Mode hold Volume down& power buttons at the same time for +10 seconds
- When screen goes black...release power button
-Then IMMEDIATELY press and hold Vol - and Vol+ to boot to Boot Menu.
- In Boot Menu scroll down with volume down to BP Tools, press volume up to select
- Device should boot to Charging Mode with battery icon
- Once battery is charged, try flashing in AP Fastboot again
This will only work if battery charging Firmware is still present and not corrupted
If Motorola Device will not boot to Charging Mode, a Fastboot cable will be needed.
You can buy it or you can make one by yourself, look at the picture.
If you can boot to AP Fastboot mode use this utility to flash stock rom, here http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-razr/development/droid-razr-utility-xt913-jellybean-t2861798
If nothing works maybe your battery needs replacement...

I've tried the troubleshooting steps mentioned above but no luck.
What I remember is that, back in the day when I installed the ROM, I wiped everything, incl. the Recovery partition and I believe android version it was on was ICS. When I installed Black Widow, everytime i would reboot it, i had to turn it on a certain way, sort of like safe mode. I've tried it though but no luck
Also, everytime I do plug in a charger, It does show a charge of 100% but once I unplug the USB, it turns off and the only way to turn it back on is plugging the USB back in.
I've also created the cable you've mentioned, but it still shows a white light when plugged into a PC. I've already replaced the battery and the battery is brand new. Just replaced it yesterday.
Any other suggestions? Is there a way to fastboot it so i can install a stock rom with the OTA?
Thanks.

You can't charge the phone with the fastboot cable,it is for flashing the stock rom with RSD Lite when your battery is low.
Here is everything you need
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3023837
Download Motorola drivers,RSD Lite, appropriate sbf file for your region and flash it.
Oh,use Windows 7,not Windows 8
Edit:
Use this utility because you have XT912

Sent from my Razr XT910
I actually got it to boot up, but turns right back off. How do you boot it up into safe mode when the phone is off?

Ok, So I was able to get to the Boot Logo usuing HW Diag. and Boot AP and my screen would show safe mode activated, then it would boot up a logo and I believe its cyanogen mod. It has a Blue Droid with a ring circling around it, but then it restarts. Maybe if i'm able to boot it into safe mode from the beginning, i could start it up.
How do I boot it into safe mode when the phone is off?
Thanks.
