Way to freeze track pad while typing? - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

I am constantly accidentally hitting the track pad when trying to type. On laptops there are programs that freeze the track pad when typing and I was wondering if anyone knew of an app that does similarly?

Is there not a key on the top row that locks out the track pad?? I don't have one but have watched a ton of videos, lol.
Mine is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.

i think he meant one which automagically turned it off when you start typing, i had a program like that on my hp laptop.
but nope havent found one so far, i find myself touching the screen mostly and barely using the trackpad (prefer wireless mouse anyways) so i just keep it on off position so far.

On the dock its the 4th button from the left right above the numbers

Thanks. Do you know if the dock remembers these settings between dockings? i.e. when I disconnect the tablet and then redock later in the day, is the "no mouse pad" setting remembered?

View with Motorola Bluetooth Kb..

hey guys, so i just got the motorola xoom full size bluetooth keyboard today, adn i wanna pair it with my view. i read on here that people only got it working by pairing it in PC mode, which takes away functionality of some buttons. anyone have any way to pair this thing through the true android way?
basically, when i pair, a dialogue comes up with numbers to put in on the kb then hit enter, but the dialogue goes away after 1 second, and thats not enough time to do anything...it just won't stay up. anyone else have any luck with this?
ALSO, when you type, it still uses auto correct from my keyboard..which is pretty annoying. how do you bypass the software keyboard 100% when your hardware is hooked up? thanks!

AHHH!!!! I thought that was just me!!! I bought mine used from Amazon marketplace, so when I saw the pairing issues, I thought it was just defective and that was why they were selling it used. But then I paired it in PC-mode and it worked, so I thought the pairing issues were just a fluke. Hah! Good to see it wasn't just me! Awesome!
As for your question about the View still using auto-correct, I haven't experienced that at all. However, I use Swype as my default keyboard. Perhaps it is an issue with the default keyboard (or whichever one you're using). Try switching Input Methods to a different keyboard?
And to your point about the Android-specific buttons not working because we had to pair in PC mode --- ahhhhhh, no wonder! I just thought it was because those buttons worked ONLY for the Xoom. I paid no attention to it after the first day and I'm happy with my purchase even without the Android keys working, because a) all the other keys work just fine, b) I can type infinitely faster with the full keyboard, and c) I got a great deal on it since I got it used. But it would be nice to have them working.
Anyone else have any idea about how to fix the the Android-specific buttons or pairing without using PC mode?
cool! glad others are doing what i'm doing haha...and yeah, it stopped auto correcting for a bit...then somehow turned itself back on..grr

@aluru
here. i will share mine. First i downloaded the .MAP for Need For Speed Most Wanted since i have that game. I set the profile to that mapping, then started the game. It hangs, rebooted phone just to control it again. at that time, only the hardware buttons of my phone are working, touch screen isn't. After that i tried again, i managed to run and play the game, then i was too lazy to quit the game so i just pressed the home button, and touch isn't working again. So restart was the only fix.
That is what exactly happened.
Another thing, do you guys know any application for Windows 32bit or Android phone where i can test the buttons of the controller? i just mapped them on FPSE and some buttons doesn't work.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro screen cracked/connect to laptop

Good morning all, I desperately need some help.
I dropped my Huawei Mate 10 Pro face-flat on the floor, and on first inspection it didn't seem as if it had any damage to it whatsoever. A little later when I had put it to charge I noticed hairline cracks on the left side of the screen and what seemed to be some kind of leakage from the screen. Overnight it has leaked so much that 90% of the screen is blue (looks like biro ink running), and now the whole screen is covered. Unfortunately I didn't rescue all my apps, documents and images, including those in the Safe, before the screen was completely covered.
My question is simply can I connect my phone to a laptop without having to accept stuff on the screen?
Many thanks
Maybe via HiSuite if you have used it before. Or connect the phone to some external display or TV via type C adapter/dock.

Hisuite on PC now requires you to enter a 5 or 6 digit random code that is generated on your phone. This update of Hisuite occured a few months ago, making it even more difficult to copy data .

Thanks. Unfortunately haven't used HiSuite before. I'll try a USB C to HDMI connection, although I'm wondering if that will bring up the same issue as connecting via HiSuite.
So I got my hands on a USB-C to HDMI cable and I am able to connect my phone to my television, and thankfully the touch screen still works! However when I swipe to get to the password screen, nothing shows up but if I touch around the screen I can go back and forth to the lock screen, just no numbers show up to enter my password.
I haven't backed up and data on the phone so I really don't want to do a hard reset to bypass the lock screen. Any solutions to this? Thanks.

Firstly learn how to use the quote feature of this forum and secondly it doesn't make a difference if you've used Hisuite before or not. It generates a code from the device every time. Cheers.

Code for Hisuite is generated and shown on the phone screen when you connect your phone to the PC Hisuite app , you won't get option if connecting to TV. How were you going to use Hisuite when connecting the phone to the TV?

Have you tried with a keyboard?
I mean, if you get to lockscreen and then enter password/pin using keyboard. You'd need an USB-C male to USB-A female OTG cable, but worth a shot if you have one laying around.

I presume I won't be able to use my laptop's keyboard?

Laptop keyboard will not work as it is internal and your phone won't recognize it. ?
I'll test using otg and a keyboard now and will update with result
Update: mine work fine with keyboard to unlock. I use a logitech with a touch pad, touch pad to swipe it in case screen doesn't work at all. But you can enter pin fine using external keyboard through otg ?
Edit 2: you can use Space to "swipe"

Thank you! Haven't got my hands on a keyboard yet but I will update you once I do. Thanks once again ??
I have tried mine with original Huawei type C dock, you can do everything with that. Charge the phone, connect a keyboard, mouse and external monitor.
Good news - I got my hands on a keyboard and after some fiddling about I have managed to access my phone once again! Thank you all for your suggestions, very much appreciated!

Mouse on Android

I'm working on implementing mouse for Godot and I just found what hell awated me
just found out that mouse implementaion is the most inconsitence thing on android
on samsung right click and back both sends `keyDown` and Up with `KEYCODE_BACK` and doesn't fire `onGenericMotionEvent`, but if you than click on left button `getButtonState` returns the button mask with everyhing right (`0b1011`) (which kills my implementation which expects single change everyclick). (also if you middle on samsung and click the mask is corect, but releasing it sends `HOME` so even thinking about that makes no sense)
on the other hand, my oneplus, the left and back button both counts as `BUTTON_BACK`, so `getButtonState` later will return `0b1001`
and last on lineageos (on my oneplus 5) (only tested on 3.2) right click and middle click just works (doesn't send any useless key) while the `BACK_BUTTON` works the same as the others
also for clicking on second button on the mouse will send `ACTION_MOVE` in `onTouch` will makes my implementation just calls move automaticly (which is not that bad, it's just wierd that move happns before click with button)
currently trying to send touch when back is pressed with source mouse, but I can't do it fully because it's inconsistent between samsung and oneplus (and I suspect much more devices)
(`BUTTON_FORWARD` have most of the same probelm, but is consistent)
Any tip to make it less hell?

Mayb is just the mouse. Have you tried changing the mouse?
My mouse seems to work fine on my samsung note 8, and on samsung dex.
The same mouse also works well with my brandless Chinese made android tv box running android 6.
My mouse is a Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard set.
Right click is normal clicking.
Left click is back button.
Wheel simulates swiping up and down on the screen.
