Not so hot at searching eh? Well, besides restarting your phone, the first few results from searching were Rescan Media, SDrescan and Rescan SD Card!.

Create a new folder and then delete it in My Files

Sorry for my lazyness, i didnt imagine there was a app for that.
Thank you

If you download 'any cut' you can create shortcuts to apps in the apps directory within sys..

.nomedia not working

I've got pics and videos in a folder with a .nomedia file, but all the files still show up in the gallery. I've cleared the cache and data from the manage apps.

Search rescan media in the market

I got the ones out finally, but in order to do that I cleared the data and now none of the videos have thumbnails.

Googleplay music

Hey anyone know the folder play music is kept? I got songs from play and can't find em, even on play music!
Thanks

I am pretty sure you need to have the play music app and make sure your signed in correctly. you should also try deleting the app data and restarting the app over again to try to get it working. Hope this helps.

It's in the SD card app directory, and but the files contain no metadata nor filenames of use..... On purpose. Don't recall the exact folder either.

Delete android folder from your sd card and reboot.

didn't work

there are like 400 songs in there but walkman only displays 260

Go to settings, apps, all
Click on Media Storage
Clear Data
The walkman will rebuild the music list, but it will take at least 30 minutes before any songs will show up again, with many files even longer.

MP3's Not Showing Up in Music Player

I downloaded several mp3's onto my phone and they aren't showing up in the HTC Music app or the Google Music app. I can play them once I select them off the file manager though.
I'm not using a sd card by the way.
Any ideas?
forgot to mention that I'm in MeanRom v3.1

Try an app called rescan media or try a reboot.

they are located in the Music folder. Some songs work. However most don't.

I had the same problem with Play Music. It would recognize both local and cloud-stored songs for a bit, and then "forget" about the locally-stored files. Rescan/reboot didn't help. I haven't found a solution.
The HTC music app still sees my local files, though.
Try to clear the caches and data for those music apps... That will force them to rescan your media.

This works until you reset the phone. Don't know what else to do.
