It's a very good dual-sim smarthphone recently launched!
Thanks! :good:
At least root will be helpful (i've tried unlockroot and root by bin4ry, but it doesn't work). Thank you
Yeah, I'm wanting to buy an Ascend G600, but I wish it were possible to the root of it, I think because it is new in the market still will not have a root or a Custom ROM soon, but I think someone is going to make or discover, if this happens please post here!
Thanks!
I do also need password to the Qualcomm background setting (from the engineering menu * # * # 2846579 # * # *). Password "0" doesnt work like in the G300 or other devices. Do somebody know this password? Can anybody help me with that? Thanks

Its really good phone for the price. I did not want to buy some chinese phone from uknown brand, so i chose huawei. Hardware is good. Antutu benchmark around 5700 (my max was 5760). Only thing that i dont like is that this phone is still not rooted, so play store does not work atm. Also there are chinese apps. But at all i don't regret that i bought this phone.
If you have any specific questions you can ask, i'll try to unswer you.

Could you tell a little about how well the GPS works? How fast do you get a satellite lock on a cold start, and is it precise?
I've tried GPS only once (just to test if it works properly) for endomondo sport tracker. It took about 3 minutes to lock gps (without using internet). And after that i test it on my bike. Signal and accuracy were OK.
The thing is that i don't want to pay for navigation and I am abroad so I don't have internet so I can't test GPS with online Google maps. I'm sorry that the answer is not sufficient...

Very Thanks! I'm anxiously awaiting the root to decide something about this smartphone, I know he has great specs, but want to see it combined with Root and Google Play! I hope that the Huawei Ascend G600 (U8950D) has official support for MIUI as they officially launch the Huawei Ascend for P1 and Huawei Honor!

Hello. Does this phone has greek language menu support?
I bought it from china and there were only 2 languages (english and chinese), but I installed Morelocale2 and I chose my language (czech) and it works fine. After I changed it, in the menu-setting-language- was displayed my new language. In Morelocale is also greek so its possible to change it. My answer is yes, it supports. I can upload screenshots with menu in greek if you want

Bruno is a great Dev, but he works with phones with MediaTek processors, the Huawei Ascend G600 (U8950D) have a Qualcomm processor. I was thinking of porting a MIUI rom for Ascend G600 has a guide here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1777999, but I have no experience with this, someone qualifies?
Have you guys tried this root method?
http://androidsu.com/superuser/
You can flash it in your stock recovery and it will inject the latest su binary and the superuser app.
Once you have root you can use adb pull to get a copy of your system and boot images. Then use dsixda kitchen to build a stock based custom ROM.
If you guys have the kernel source you can try building from source to get AOSP based ROMs.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Hi, thanks for advice. I've tried it, but it does not work at all :-/

Now I just hope to root my device and remove those disgusting apps...

Updated the first page ...soon all the procedure to have right root!
Thankssss.
Before I buy Zopo Speed 7 plus please clarify one thing because I'm confused. On the package it says clearly MTK6753 Octa Core 1.5 Ghz, but in one review on YouTube antutu shows a 1.3.
Please what is the truth? Is it 1.5 or 1.3?
Does this phone have nfc?

I have buy one too from geekbuying
Near the 10 Sept i will have it
I'm thinking about getting this phone (the 5" version) too. If you have any interesting findings or even would be willing to write a review, please share it here.
I had a lot of problems with Chinese phones and compass, please check it too. I believe the GPS will be OK. And usually the rest used to be good at Zopo except of SW.

I had purchased in order to pre Zopo Italy, last month.
For now I have installed a firmware upgrade (OTA)
Imported address book, and various data from the old device, installed apps that I use often with my tablet.
It is used today, without noticing any particular problem.
It has good overall speed, and a good camera.
Obviously for me it was a big jump, because I just left an old Nokia C6.
Thanks to karl, we already have a working Meizu Flyme OS for Speed 7/ Speed 7 Plus

Yes. You will lose warranty. When you obtain the unlocking code please do read the unlocking agreement.

From what I Read the warranty is not Lost. The fact is that if the problem you face derives from a custom rom or something broken due to ulocking the bootloader the repair will be out of warranty. If it is not the case you will still have warranty.

No one unlocks their phone for nothing. It is obvious that almost all people unlock their phone to either root it or install a custom rom therefore it is obvious that warranty will be lost.

What I meant is that the repair is still possible if not related to the root or unlock.

[TOOL] Universal Fastboot & Adb Tool
Forum moderator,
Matt
This device finally seems like a worthy buy if one wants to go into the Samsung ridden 4nm fabrication 8 gen 1 CPU. Best temperatures and lowest throttling of all phones with that chip.
One can only hope if Realme releases it with an unlocked bootloader right at launch for it to get a proper aftermarket dev support.
Well, I am planning to consider a Realme smartphone, GT2 Pro is looking really a great phone, but unlocking bootloader and rooting is mandatory to me and i really don't know what to do.....
I guess on realme phones is not easy like xiaomi / google devices doing that. At last unlocking the bootloader could be easy but how is difficult to find official ROM updates in order to patch the boot image to install magisk?
Honestly after years with OnePlus I needed a change of pace, and this Realme catched my interest, same doubt of others, I'm using Magisk and root privilegies for small thing that probably won't hurt my experience, but I'd like to have the possibility to unlock the bootloader and install/modify things in order to get a better experience.
Let's cross fingers and hope for some developments, probably I'm going to buy it at or close to launch for the early bid discount.

Global Realme are nearly impossible to be unlocked, that is why i asked.....
This promising to be a very good phone, but xiaomi is always the 1st choice for people who need the phone to be unlocked......
It should be possible to convert the Chinese version which I have to the Global one. It's been possible on previous GT series.

But you need to unlock the bootloader.....
I hope it only take a while to be unlocked.... I've bought the chinese version. Ok it work fine, only some features here and there that give me some trouble, like not work "ok google" but instead there is this Breeno app that I absolute hate and other minor annoying things. For the rest its a very premium phone.
I hope someone with the EU/Global version will tell us something soon.
For mnow I have debloated all chinese apk and unuseful apps from ADB command (can't with Breeno main app, the search bar, market and whatsoever all gone), work fine, but the Google services doesn't work at their best. Wait for EU/global indication (if possible)

Dunno how the situation is in other country, but here in Italy Realme made some really bad moves.
The 100€ discount for the early bids became a 50€ discount for the 8/128 and a pair of buds for 12/256 (official site), on amazon IT the discount is right but it's available at the end of march.
So... I thing I'll keep my OnePlus 7T and wait

Well... I'm from Italy too....
Interested in the 12/256 version.
Used for a while the EU version of this phone thanks to a reviewer who gave me it for a day.
All I can say, it's a good phone with some bugs. Pictures are really great.
The problem is unlocking bootloader and installing magisk is mandatory to me and I already know that with Realme it's not easy as Xiaomi or Oneplus..... (Updates etc etc...).
So... let's see what will happen..... (including wating for the Xiaomi 12 Ultra too...)
I'm really planning to get this phone. Hopefully we'll see bootloader unlocking and custom ROM development on it.
So how do we know if it’s unlockable?
I have the global GT 2 Pro, in the DEV OPs „Unlock OEM“ is available
You can try to enable developer option, then enable OEM Unlock and USB debugging.
Then you can try to search and download the app Depth Testing 1.1.0 and try to apply.
If that app works, you can reboot to bootloader and type
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock
Note that your phone will be wiped and all will be erased.....
That is the main problem of Realme phones, unlocking bootloader must be approved......

I've tried it but no luck...
Same here. Looks they locked the app out.
Can we able to unlock the bootloader in the future? Or realme won't give us the permission?
