You know, no sooner than I posted it I thought that. I've never used any of the 3.5 roms because of 3D and 4G issues so I'd never know.
But I also thought that Sense 3.5 looked more like what was on the Bliss not like Sense 3.0.

most 3.5 ROMs can be switched between "Bliss" and the "standard" Sense look. there's some with working 3D (but no 4G), and finally, no, it seems there's no way to hack it onto Sense 3.0 (it was tried when it first came out)

Agreed looks terrible, seriously what was htc thinking. ill stick to sense 3.0 look at the sheer beauty of it! I also think more are focused on miui and aosp.

Ugly?!?? U obviously havent had the pleasure of seeing or using it first hand..its beautiful and is a great update to sense 3.0 and actually has alot of 3.0 features just improved...I guess ill just wait and see if V does something with it

what youve seen is definetely not stock sense 3.5 and its not what evo 3d will be updated to the version of sense 3.5 leaked from the bliss is a heavily themed version of what stock 3.5 is supposed to look like it was themed to appeal to woman it is basically the doubleshot ui on sense 3.5 its what tmobile call mysense....and yes it looks very ugly idk what tmobile was even thinking

I decided to stop because unlike the doubleshot port it cant be resized since i havent been able to decompile the apks in the m10 editor to resize them....

I know its mysense..but i still like it..appeal to a woman? what are u trying to say? i know its not anything the evo 3d will update to but its nice for a change and worth a port...im sure alot of people will like it..look at the interest in the bliss port on the 4g evo..

Was wondering if any good senseless rom besides Scott's senseless rom.
Am using Scott's senseless rom right now its nice and stable .So i think thats the only one rom without sense. If any other XDA guildies know about any senseless rom for EVO 3D please let me know. Thanks
Depends on what exactly your looking for,
There are a couple of roms that got rid of sense, these include miui and cm7,
You also want to look for aosp roms, these are all senseless...
Smokin420 has a wonderful little tool that should remove sense from any rom you want search the developement thread for it.
I've personally tried miui and its pretty sweet, once you figure out all the lil tricks and shortcuts to stuff. They still have a long way to go tho. Miui will never have 4g tho, as it came from Japanese developers who have no use for 4g, and the camera was borked when i used miui(might be fixed now, might not be)

HTC widgets are admittedly cool, but since I started rocking Launcher Pro Plus, I've since stopped using them. The 4x4 icon grid in Sense was the dealbreaker for me.

i liked htc sense widgets but then i slowly kept swapping them out for "beautiful widgets" and "minimalistic text" widgets now i don't have any sense ones at all
This was not easy. It took me a few weeks to get this working properly. Screen Shots are from the SOAB ROM. Sense 3.5 on Android 2.3.4.
This skin is also available for sense 3.0 on the Android Market.
Credit for the work around for editing the .m10 goes to black-snowflake.

Confirmed working on wtsb 2.2. I have a question for you. I have a transparent apk skin I was using with 2.3.4. I wanted to know if it was possible that you could convert it to work in sense 2.3.5. It has the transparent status bar I miss and love.

You need to be on a Sense 3.5 ROM or it won't show up.
I'm on RCMix v0.8 Megamix which is. 3.5 Rom. Installed ok but doesn't show up... I've got Sensation XE.
For CDMA or GSM guys ?

Sorry SIR, but it not work on my EVO 3D GSM (2.3.4), OK ? SIR want to talk about ?
Guys it is for Android 2.3.4 with sense 3.5. shouldn't matter if your on gsm or cdma. also shouldn't matter if you have an EVO, Thunderbolt or any other phone. as long as its 2.3.4 with 3.5 you should be good.
So since ics has basically almost everything sense has. I wonder what htc will add to sense. What do you guys think? They might have to come out with something really new , like a new feature to make people want to buy a phone with ics sense. I love sense so maybe the collaboration will be awesome! For the people waiting for an official update it might be awhile till they cook sense into it. But we'll see what happens.

You have some good ideas. Mostly sounds like you enjoy the widgets which is what i think everyone can agree on. As far as launcher and look go. I like the way ics is outta the box.

LOL, best not bet any money on that one. Sense will be Sense, I predict. I am hoping HTC can bring themselves to at least keep ICS's configurable dock, though.

Now, come on. You know it will have sense. Likely 3.0, it does not seem like they make a habit of updating sense in a phone that has been out.
The EVO Shift had just that when it was upgraded to Gingerbread.
From Froyo with Sense 1.x to Gingerbread with Sense 2.1.

It's absolutely going to be Sense. There is no doubt about that, regardless of our opinions on Sense (and I happen to disagree with you) HTC won't let go of one of the biggest end-user differentiation that their handsets across the range carry (excluding the Nexus One, of course)

Man I'm gonna miss the buttons. Would think that if they ditch the buttons that they would extend the screen down over where they would be so we don't lose any actual useable screen space compared to what we have now....

I don't think he was sauntered he hopes it doesn't have sense, but rather that he hoes it's not the same old sense theme and look that we're accustomed to

1. The whole look/theme of ui. Sense 3.6 is basically sense 3.5 and ics mixed together. Sense 4.0 is completely based on itself, nothing else looks like sense 4.0.
2. Features. It has more features than sense 3.6. Like landscape homescreen.
3. Animations.
4. Camera.
5. What devices its for.
Besides that, both are pretty much the same.

transparent status bar (turns normal when you're on another app)
beats and all sound enchanter effect on third party apps (srs rules...)
music lock screen funtional with third party apps (like mort player)
I really like the app drawer, the navigation bar and the settings menu from sense 4 (alot more than sense 3.0-3.5-3.6)
the UI is more light, I think you can notice it with the boot time, and this has have other benefits and......... the scrolling is a little bit diferent is better on sense3.6 but it's strange I really prefer sense4 it's just diferent, wtf jaja
since sense3.6 doesn't give a new feeling, sense4 does, it's give a good feeling of a new phone (well at least a different one)

Since you are in the Evo3d Q&A thread, I will add that since Sense 3.6 ROMs are based on the VM Leak (well, most of them), everything on the 3d works. With Sense 4.0 ROMs, usually 4g (WiMax) and the 3d features do not work.

Speaking of Sense 4.0, does anyone have a recommendation for a rom that has it that will work on the Virgin Mobile EVO V? Don't really care about the 3D camera, even though it's a nice feature, but MMS is important to have working.

Assuming Cdma, I like the ones in my signature. Nocturnal ICS is also great. They are all sense 3.6 which I prefer since everything works.

I think my first post on this site haha. Anyways 4.0 just looks and feels different. not by much but its noticeable. The main feature i love is that adding stuff to the home screens is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much easier and faster. Thats what sold me to 4.0. I do love sense 4 over anything else but until they get working 4g (wimax) i will NOT use any sense 4 roms. I really hope Joel fixes this in the net update...
sense 4 is like a Porsche and sense 3.6 is like a Jette... Jettas are nice cars but Porsches are a hell of alot nicer... faster... more beautiful... more features (imo)

I think the issue is that HTC has not released the source code for the camera driver, so the devs trying to fix it are trying to write their own.
