android market - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

please could someone help me? i have HTC Wildfire S and i bought it with android 2.3.3. last friday it updated to 2.3.5 but my android market didnt upgrade=> i cannot download from market. where can i get market compactible for android v2.3.5? thank you

The same market should work.. Clear Market data and see if that helps. You could reboot too.

The market app is updated automatically, if a newer version is available.

Clear data of Market like Gazalan said. There's no reason it shouldn't work then, and it should also update automatically when you run it. When you open Market, just leave it for 10 minutes or so untouched, then go home and re-open Market. Check the version number in Menu>Settings and see if it is 3.4.4. That's the latest. If it doesn't auto update, and you want the latest version, I've attached it in this post.
Click thanks if I've helped you.

[SOLVED]Old Android Market after flash -- how do i get the new one back?

I had the new market when i update to 4.1.57, but i wanted root. so i flashed to 4.1.26 then did the retain root thing and updated again to 4.1.57.
but now i have the old market, i cant find a way to update it because the market isn't searchable/updateable like gmail or google maps.
how do i get the new market?
it actually will eventually load up the new one...i dont know exactly why it gives the gray one at start but everytime i flashed or stuck roms on, it would eventually go back to that and about 3 or 4th time on the market it will be the green one.

This is what did it for me:
Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All
Find 'Market', force stop, and clear data/cache.
Run Market now and it should be the newer one.

Market can't download????

Guys! Anyone having issues with downloading of apps in the market? I can't seem to download or update my apps in the market! I'm on CM7 beta 6.2.
Try to uninstall market updates and let the market update again. But give it some time to finish the update properly.
If this did not work I recommend doing a factory reset, and then open the wifi and the market. Do not download anything for few minutes. Let the market get updated approperiately. Then close it an open it again and try to download stuff.
I think your issue is with the market update. It happened to me once when I flashed a new KDZ Rom.

Oh yeah! Problem solved! Flashed the gapps again and let the market rest for a good 6++ hours and now everything is ok!

Updating Non Market Apps

Downloaded an apk pack from the interweb and installed a few apps.
Loaded it up via pc and then clicked on file and it installed. When I go into the market its saying I don't have this app installed? I also installed a game and under settings this appears but not the app?
Is there a way of updating this app as cannot update it via market ? Tried the non paid version of Titanium back up but no use. From searching read Trackdog app. maybe able to do this. Anyone confirm
Is there a way or is the market such it wont let it update?
I was gonna ask same question
I don't think there's any solution for what you are asking. But you can try this: install AppBrain App Market from the market. This app will show all your installed apps, no matter if you installed them straight from the market or other sources. There's an option to sync the apps with AppBrain and if a newer version of your installed apps comes out on the market it will prompt you to update. Obviously, you won't be able to update the apps straight from the market (if they were installed from other sources), but at least you will know there's a new version of the app in the market and then you can try to get the new version from alternate sources. I use this app for Google Plus and some other apps from the market which are not available for my country. This isn't a solution, merely an intermediate step to find out if your apps need to be updated I think Trackdog does exactly the same thing as AppBrain.

Android Market Issues

so i got a SGT 10.1 not to long ago i updated and i updated it to 3.2, i notice alot of issues with the android market not downloading or staying stuck on installing, and it wont connect and will tell me to retry. its also version 1.0.28 so my question is what can i do to stop all these messages. hope someone helps, thanks...
I had the same problems as you. With it not installing, you have to go to my apps (after you click download) and under not installed you have to hit install again. For not downloading, I had to go into task manager and kill the market then re open it and re do the download process Kinda sucks but that's the market version for ya.
Or there is a simpler fix....root + galaxy task = no problems

[Q] Android Market Crashes

I have an LG GT540 since September, but recently I tried to root it and had success
But now, when I'm trying to open Android Market it crash and i can't download any app from ther market
What I have to do to fix that?
Try replacing the current Google Play Store with the latest version!
You can Download from here!
I canĀ“t install it... maybe it is because my android version is 2.1
Do you know any other way to fixa that problem?
Yes, Google Play requires Froyo 2.2 or higher. I'm not sure what the last version for 2.1 is, but you could try clearing Market data and possibly uninstalling updates. This should force it to download the latest version.
But I have already made a hard reset and the problem continues :S
Can you tell what version of market is installed on your device?
