[Q] Make headphone wireless? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I got my Beats Studio headphone today, but as you guys might now it doesn't work on my Xperia Neo... Does anyone know a solution to make the headphone wireless? With a bluetooth adapter or something like that for a reasonable price?
Thx

Real STEREO OUT via mini jack?

hello everyone!
i was wondering, if the blue angel is outputting a real stereo signal via the mini jack or if it is just a mono signal on both headphone spekaers.... i once read something like this, cant remember where, cant say if its true...
does anyone know?
btw: whats that strange connection around the minijack for?
thx in advance!
krz
BA has stereo sound output for sure! I have made my own 2.5 jack to 3.5 jack wire, so then I connect headphones from player I can hear for sure that sound is stereo Don't try to create This wire by your own, better ask me, and I'll post photos how it could be done. Anyone is interested in creating wire?
PS: You can modify 2 ears-headset, from mono to stereo by shortcutting the diode (black* little square inside headset plastic box). Disadvantage: headset can't be used for calling anymore.
hi fatalistic!
thx for your answer! and yes, i would be very interessted in creating a such a wire... it would be graet, if you could post pictures and explanations on that topic!
thx again,
krz

hi guys!
i just received an answer of the HTC Technical Support to my quetion regarding real stereo via mini jack.... unfortuneatly, they pointed out, that the HTC Blue Angel DOES NOT output a real stereo signal, just mono on both channels....
what a pitty!
Well, with the 2.5 to 3.5 adapter I'm now using it most definitely does have stereo. On my hypnotherapy tape Paul Mckenna verbally identifies the left and the right ear, so I used that to check, and I don't think I'm tripping.
Not that I wish to contradict 'The Guy'.
adaptors are on ebay for 2.5mm to 3.5mm for about £1.50
Sennheiser Mm10
i bought an adapter from hama (2,5mm to 3,5mm), but it is still not working... i only get a mono signal in one earplug... sucks big time!!
anyone knows, if the SENNHEISER MM10 would work with the MDA 3 ???

Srz, dude.... but this is bull****, I certainly get stereo sound with the earplugs that came with my O2 XDA IIs.
The sound is stereo for sure. I cannot recall any Pocket PC without stereo sound output. At Tech support they don't know what they are talking about.
Try looking for old Motorola earphones (i.e. for MPx200) it has the same connector scheme. The usual 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm adaptor won't work, use the Motorolas one. BTW: Scheme is in wiki's general section.

do u want to fix ur converter

there are other way....
i have modified the original earphone (cutting and soldering) however, if you don't want those nasty work, just simply buy the original motorola e398 rokr earphone, good quality sound..
@ krishan2207 & evoluzionne:
thx for your answers!
do you think, you could describe how you fixed/modyfied your adapter/earphone?
maybe you have pictures? or some kind of tutorial?
this would help lots of people, i guess.....
@ evoluzionne:
are you refering to THIS headset? do you know, if the SEND/END button is working?
thx again!
krz
yes... (the send and receive button works) that's one.. good quality sound both bass and treble, vocal clarity, however it doesnt have volume dial, you should set the volume from your music player applications..
about the modifying of the headset you could just find it in the link below..
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=handsfreethatdoesntsoundlikecrap
of you just dont sure to do this just simply buy the motorola's e398 handsfree.. for its sound quality..
regards
adri
so? anyone try the motorola's?
have u guys try it? it is good and working isn'it? later, i'll show my modified handsfree, for some people it looks sucks but working perfectly....

Mini USB to 3.5 mm jack

I wonder if there's any adapter which would enable me to connect a standard 3.5 mm earphone jack to miniUSB port... I checked a few locan dealers and they haven't heard of anything like that
The earphones that came with htc are too big for my ears
USB to 3,5 mm Stereo

useful 3.5mm adapter
Hi guys,
I just bought a multifunctional adapter for my phone. This way, i can connect my Mogul to my sound system in my Smart Car. it's helpful. Here is the link from where I bought it:
http://www.moguldepot.com/htc-multifunction-audio-adapter/11A75A4401.htm
FYI, it seems to work for earspeaker; but, it doesn't seem to direct sound from loudspeaker applications.
If anyone know how to redirect loudspeaker to 3.5mm, let us know.

17 E?? for that tiny piece of cable? Excuse me, i don't want to buy a new phone. I think I'll just make an adaptor out of the headset. I'll remove the earbuds and attach a mother 3.5 stereo jack...

Try this
http://shop.brando.com.hk/3-5mm-earphone-adapter-handy-strap-htc-dopod_p02373c0413d001.html
The strap comes off and its a very neat solution if you dont want a mike.
USE Bluetooth
There are so many bluetooth stero headphones.
Much better. You can still take or make calls.
I have sony HBH-DS205. Works great. You can connect any other headphone or even connect to you home theatre systme (with one extra bit of connector).
£1.99
I got one off ebay from a chinese seller for £1.99 i was the only bidder and received it within about 15 days from china and works a treat.
EBAY
guys guys. Just go to ebay and you will get it very cheap. Why would you pay 5X more for same product made in same country.
Basically two good options, either use this:
http://shop.brando.com/htc-mini-usb-earphone-hand-free_p04126c0997d039.html
or somthing from ebay. I managed to pick up an adaptor for £0.99.

Works perfectly.
thanks in advance.
Mini USB to 3.5mm audio adaptor
I'm wondering is the Mini USB to 3.5mm audio adaptor for HTC Jade is something different as compare to any other phone.
As I bought one audio adaptor from local market, something similiar to one mentioned in below link. It is working for other LG and Samsung phone, but not with HTC Jade.
http://cgi.ebay.in/HTC-Audio-Adapte...QptZIN_Mobile_Accessories?hash=item27af84b4cb
Any idea why or what is missing? Please advice.
Thanks!!

i think the pin configuration is different.
I made one myself, I dismantled the original headset provided with the device and soldered a 3,5mm female jack on the pcb with the volume and mic.
works great

In-ear headphones with mini usb ?

Is there any good quality in-ear headphones possible to use with TD2 without usb - 3,5 mm adapter ? If so link please !
...only for hearing music, or also for using the phone (needs a microfone)?
i'm thinking of buying one... i preferable want one that has the mic support
I doubt you will find any because the usb port on the TD2 is from HTC which means no one else uses it. Only headset which uses that port is from HTC themselves.
these things exist. a quick search with google... and then just use your own in-ear headphones
http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=179392
i have one these adapters but it won"t help you if you want stereo in music.....only mono and that is not sound quality in my opinion..

The HTC adaptor supports stereo, your headset must also be stereo.
I used to run out of HTC adaptor into cassette and had stereo music.

Use apple Iphone headphones with mic with GSM touchpro 2 with mini usb to 3.5mm jack?

Hey guys i was wondering i have the apple iphone headphones with the built in mic and ive used it on my moterola rokr e8 just by plugging it into the 3.5mm jack on the phone. Now i know the htc touch pro 2 only has miniusb my question is that is it possible to use an adapter from miniusb to 3.5mm to get it not only the headphones to work but the mic as well?
anyone have any ideas?
I'm surprised you haven't gotten any response to this. I am sure you can use the earphones. The question is will the mic work? My adapter has a built in mic so I can't answer that part. Sorry.

ohh alright and which adapter are you using? i have an adapter one with a mic as well for the htc but i find the cord gets really long and it kind of annoying that the mic is on the adapter cuz the headphones are much closer and you have to clip the adapter close to your face but yeah which adapter do you use?
Not working
I think it's not working properly.
I previously read this in an another thread. Earphones are working but not the mic because it's not the same wiring. If i remenber, volume control on the headphone will work too.
I think it depends on the adapter you are using. From what I understand the OEM HTC adapters will allow a headset mic to work, but some of the off-brand (non-OEM) ones don't work with mics.

Xperia Mini best hadsfree for music?

Hi, guys!
I'm new in the Mini section. I've been using X10 Mini for almost an year, but now I'm with a Xperia Mini 2011.
In the past I was using MH810 handsfree and it was having a pretty nice sound, sound remote control on the wire, but it is incompatible with the Mini.
So which handsfree with sound remote control is compatible with the Mini? Only SE Live Sound or there are others?
Thanks in advance for the info!
The 2011 xperia line uses a diferent type of protocol for the 3,5mm connector that's why other headsets are incompatible. I think that your only choices are the models released by Sony Ericsson i.e. Livesound.
Sent from my mango using xda premium
I currently have Sony MW600, Hi-Fi Wireless Headset, works via Bluetooth, quality is good enough, costs also less than LiveSound, also has remote control buttons Play/Pause, Next/Previous and volume.
But what you mean, that is incompatible with Mini? Just give it a try, according to me, you have nothing to lose...
The 3.5 mm jacks of the X10 Mini and the Xperia Mini are different - that's why they're incompatible and the wonderful MH810 handsfree cannot work on the Xperia Mini.
What about putting a 3.5 mm jack on to a HPM 82 handsfree instead of the fast-connector - will it work?
I'm asking because MH1 Livesound is not being sold in Bulgaria, so I should order it from amazon.uk maybe.
What do you mean, that does not work? No sound or controls don't work or what?
Take a look in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1229622
summary: buy the gadget linked there and get any iphone compatible headset you want.
Someguyfromhell, I mean the jacks are DIFFERENT!!! Why don't you look at them in Google? Why should you ask that questions, as I have already explained that twice?!

It's not directly the phone, that has different jack. Both have 3.5mm jacks, it doesn't make any difference at all.
The headset has additional part, which is...I have no idea, what for. Probably additional functions from the remote control.
One way would be to try getting rid of this additional chip thing, if you are willing to take that risk.

Why do u continue with that stupid... suggestions?! Getting rid of the additional contact-strips will make the remote control of the handsfree completely useless and I will not be able to recieve calls, or sell the handsfree to some X10 Mini owner.
Even Nokia headsets work with Xperia mini, i was shocked to see old nokia headset to be working with my st15i, button, microphone, everything.
If you want really good sound - buy big , normal headphones.

I've tried Nokia headphones a few days ago, they did have remote control for the music player on the wire, but... they didn't worked with the mini. Or at least the remote control didn't. There was sound, but no control over it. Maybe because they were a cheap Chinese copy.
I found my old X1 lead, it has a socket on the mic for use with any headphones
Also old SE HPM-80 in ear headphones are good
Sent from my Xperia Mini using Tapatalk
Yep, they're like HPM 82 with display on the remote control, but with a fastport again. I'll try to solder a 3.5mm jack to a HPM 82 handsfree (to replace the fastport), but I may not succeed because there are 8 or 9 cables out of the wire and only 4 holes to solder them on the 3.5mm jack...
using easy sennheiser headphones, awesome for less money
I've got second hand Sony Ericsson MH1 for half price. Not so special, good sound, not better than the old HPM-82 or MH810 for example. And the lack of a clip for hanging on the neck piece is obviously a disadvantage! The free is constantly slipping down and pulling the ears - very annoying!
The lack of separate buttons for changing the music tracks is also a disadvantage - music tracks are changed with continuous pressing the volume buttons of the handsfree's remote control, not with separate buttons like on the HPM-82 or MH810. But it seems that this is due to the 3.5mm jack cable-number connectivity limitation. The MH810 has some additional ports on the side of the 3.5mm jack, which allow it to have more buttons on the remote control, while MH1 doesn't have them on the jack.
guys i've been looking for budget headphones that would fit in xperia mini's jack
i don't know if it would help but i tried couple of nokia headphones that worked with the device along with the samsung corby pro's stock stock headphones and they all worked currently im considering buying
MEElectronics M9-SL
or the
iLuv iEP322BLK citylights
but i don't know if any of those is compatible with the xperia mini anyway so advice would be appreciated
Note:I just want music to my ears
Xperia Mini has regular 3.5 mm jack, so you can use any headphones(with 3.5mm jack) with the phone.

actually i'm now considering one of the following but don't know if they would work or not
1-MEElectronics M9
2-JVC Xtreme Xplosives FX1X
3-Koss KSC 75
4-SkullCandy Titan
5-iLuv iep322
i only found the iep322 and the titan in local stores however the titan is a bit expensive would be my last choice just before the iep322
