Hi,
"MobileDock Battery saving mode" is enabled by default to save your battery.
To disable it (and activate the lock button on your keyboard), go to:
Settings > ASUS Customized Setting
Then scroll to the bottom to the very last setting and uncheck it.
Hope that helps.
haaaaaa
thanks

Well half those options are under Settings > Cyanogenmod Settings > Tablet Tweaks > Extended power menu (Choose power menu buttons)
Well I fixed it by running acme uninstaller and starting fresh because my hardware home button didn't work

I've become very used to long pressing the menu button on my Evo 3d to pull up the keyboard quickly, particularly in apps that don't have a keyboard button.
Now on the Transformer Prime I can't seem to find a way to replicate that functionality, any suggestions?
I've updated to ICS & am rooted.
bueller?
err I mean no one has any ideas?
Interested, too. But we might just have to deal. I heard long-press on menu is going to be the new search shortcut, since the Nexus doesn't have a search key. :-(

When I have the dock on the Prime I use it like a laptop. I can't wake the tablet using the "lock" key on the keyboard though - it only seems to lock, not unlock (no toggle).
And the tablet doesn't wake automatically when I open the clamshell so I have to push the button on the top.
Is there an option somewhere I'm missing? I'd like to be able to wake it either from a keyboard shortcut or whenever I open the clamshell!
both said functions are present on my tf prime out of the box. I also don't recall seeing any settings that manages these. maybe something is wrong?
It should automatically come on when you open it from the dock. If it isn't doing that, it's possible your dock is not working as it should. Maybe take your TFP to somewhere that has a dock in stock and try it out there.
Other than that, if you enable the power savings mode for the dock under Settings -> Asus customized setting -> MobileDock Battery saving mode then it won't wake up with any key presses, but it will wake up with touchpad clicks unless you've disabled the touchpad via the 4th button from the top left prior to hitting the lock button.
Thanks guys! I'll take the dock back and get it swapped. Obviously something is amiss.

thanks for pointing that out. it really helps to be able to wake it up without reaching for the tiny power button. One thing tho, if i press the touchpad, it wakes up to the lock screen, but if i press any key on the keyboard it wakes up unlocked. is this normal?
I use the S Pen a lot. I'm trying to figure out a way to incorporate the back, home and settings button into my launcher (ADW)
The same way ICS does it basically to eliminate the need for the Capcative buttons.
Does anyone know of an app or way to put those shortcuts on your home screen? Its really annoying when using the S Pen to have to always go back to those buttons.

You know you can use the s pen right?
Press pen button while swiping back to go back
Press button up and swipe up to open menu
Press button and swipe down to go home
Samsung has all these tips in the phone
Menu.settings.spen
There is also a s pen tips app in the market...and lots of cool stuff on the facebook page.
If that doesnt work out for you there are a few apps on the maeket for "soft buttons"

You can use the S-Pen for going back, home, and menu. Hold the button and drag left for back, Button+down for home and button+up for menu.
Hello, I am trying to remove the extra navigation bar button that seems to come on all Asus Android tablets. Its not the 3 standard buttons, but the one all the way on the left that opens a menu for "miniapp docking". I uninstalled the miniapp docking system app but the button still shows up on my nav bar. Is there any way to remove this ugly button?
