Hi folks.I have been running CM7 Weekly#4 with faux123 1.45kernel for quite a while.
I know that webtop isn't normal to CM and that that's the reason why it isn't working.
Is there though a way to install web-top but as in installing linux or ubuntu on the webtop partition(oush)?????
any suggestions are appreciated or a link at least.........

I have recently rooted my Atrix 2.3.4 and added webtop2sd which is running like a charm. I would like to install a custom rom without conflicting with my current set-up. Could someone please advise the best rom to use?
thanks
im trying to get cwm and cm7 on my nook so i can flash roms and the video im watching http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7pfqbpZZ7A&feature=related
the cm7 link is dead. ive done a search and i see cm7 for glaxy. can i use that or can someone point me to the dl link for cm7. thanks
Just because a rom say has the same name (cm7) does not mean you can use it for any device. Roms are modified and tweaked to support the hardware for respective devices.
See this thread for CM7 for the Nook tablet.
I would buy a lapdock, but I have a question, what is the best experience to use it? Currently I have a CM9 jokersax, I know there are different ways to use the lapdock:
1) Flash ROM based blur (but I love ics: D),
2) use a rom ics tablet UI,
3) flash nottachtrix dual boot and install full Linux Debian,
4) flash cm7 dual boot and install to SD webtop.
(I don't know if the last two are possible) what is the best method? If there are other ways, please write them. Thanks in advance for the answers and sorry for my English :/
I would wait for the official ICS upgrade, since Webtop 3.0 should offer the best speed with the lapdock, since its not running linux on top of android
First, you must decide if you want something that looks like a linux desktop, or the ICS tablet mode.
You can not get an X based system (standard Linux) on a non Blur based build. So if you want that, you either have to dual boot or punt ICS.
My feeling is that the ICS tablet mode is lacking. It REALLY needs the Moto 'vidia drivers to come out (Aug?) to get a more useable product. The present ICS builds are nice on the phone, but for me is a step down on the lapdock.
I just stick with Noat's flash (with a custom osh based on the "full Debian" mod) because I use the dock far more than the phone. I would like to use ICS though, but I will just wait till fall for this.
BTW, I use my lapdock 100% when on the road. Even for work.
Thanks I will wait the driver release(i don't hurry xD )
I tried webtop2sd with full debian and gentoo Linux on nottachtrix and found them way too slow. In my opinion paranoid Rom with tablet mode is the best but I guess it's also a matter of how you are going to use it and personal preference

Hey guys,
I'm compiling Paranoid Android for this tablet. However, it's my first time, and I'm a total n00b. Could someone tell me what kernel I have to compile for Jellybean? Currently, I have Pershoot's ICS kernel, but I'm pretty sure that's why alot of stuff isn't working.

Thanks!
Also, for you smart devs out there,
How do I enable the navigation bar by default?
And how do I fix Wi-Fi?
THanks!
Also, USB storage isn't working
Anybody?
Hello, well i returned to Nottachtrix because i want to install the full ubuntu into my Atrix but i have some doubts about it.
There is a thread that explains how to get full ubuntu with some automatic procedure, but there are some things i really ignore, for example the Nottachtrix rom says the webtop version is not available, does this means there is something missing in the rom? Is it possible to install it over Nottachtrix GB rom? And does the kernel has an influence over webtop? Because i'm running over faux kernels since the stock kernel cause me freezings and inifinite reboots for some reason
Thanks
The "normal" OS and the webtop both run on the same exact kernel, so yes, I'd say the kernel does have an influence over webtop.
Try installing the default kernel.
