Hey guys,
I'm compiling Paranoid Android for this tablet. However, it's my first time, and I'm a total n00b. Could someone tell me what kernel I have to compile for Jellybean? Currently, I have Pershoot's ICS kernel, but I'm pretty sure that's why alot of stuff isn't working.
ROM thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32112344
Thanks!
Also, for you smart devs out there,
How do I enable the navigation bar by default?
And how do I fix Wi-Fi?
THanks!
Also, USB storage isn't working
Anybody?

how can i port miui to a 2.3 GB rom? im pretty experienced with Linux and stuff, i cant find a sufficient guide or tutorial. anyone?

Something like this?

There is stuff like this around XDA.
If this is your first ROM, I would suggest building Cyanogenmod or AOSP to learn about the Android build tree first. You learn a lot more that way.
Hi i really like the official JellyBean status bar with that flashing light as we touch it at the bottom and was thinking is there any way to get it on our Desire X ! Thanx

the answer to it is ... CM10.1!
That my friend is something called "stock android layout", HTC modifies the official Google layout and changes it to something called "Sense Ui", so there are not much ways to accomplish this, the only way I know is you either need cyanogen mod, 10/10.1, aokp/aosp, or any ROM which has the stock Google layout.
From my findings I'd suggest you wait for CyanogenMod 10.1, its on a good start.

Yep that's probably the best advice. Changes to the status bar are at a reasonably low level on the phone, so a new launcher etc won't change it at all. You need a rooted device and a custom ROM to achieve it. CyanogenMod 10.1 would be an ideal one as it is pretty much stock 4.2.2 and has the features you want! Obviously with the DX there isn't many AOKP roms at present but work is underway!
If you want to keep up with updates to Android and stay completely stock a Nexus device is the way to go!
Thanx Guys..
I will now wait for CM 10.1 ... Hope it cums asap
Cant wait..
Hi guys,
I've tried to find something about this, but it seems that this information is really hard to find.
As far as I know it's just possible until 4.1.2 ROMs, but this information is also missing in a lot of ROM descriptions. In which current ROMs will ANT+ work? And is there a chance to get it with 10.1 (4.2.2 and newer) in the future? Has anyone informations about this or has tried it?
I need this feature for my Xperia active and can't miss it, but the original ROM from Sony is heavy weight and slowly like hell :crying:
Thanks
Alex
No ideas about this matter? :crying:

It works in any ROM, that has the installed files (as far as I know, only APK files).
You can also just root and do some modifications on the stock ROM to make it faster.
I have been looking for any way to enable ad-hoc in my SGS2 but so far nothing, the last few days jumping from one rom to another including the supernexus 3.0 who claims ad-hoc capable but no luck, in this moment in the last nightly of cyanogenmod and still nothin, so if any way that i can accomplish this? Any help would be really really appreciated. Thanks ind advance
This idea came to my mind after a month of my experience with CM11. Previously, CM11 development wasn't possible since BCM21553 drivers were made for ICS/CM9 exclusively. But now I can see that CM11 development on S5830i is being successful.
However, I have a question here. is it really possible to cherrypick CM11 changes in order to use them as a base for CM10.2? I'd like to see JB running on it too. Not just ICS or KitKat.
Thanks in advance.
